Liquefied carnival, a mix of its notes, including some cola, delightful
Sampling Versatile Paris - God Bless Cola, one of the house’s most recent releases and my very first try of the house, ordered from Ministry of Scent because I saw it advertised there and it definitely caught my eye. The note list includes cola, popcorn, caramel, peanut butter, soft woods, sweet gourmand notes, and vanilla, and it largely delivers on these blend, mainly a peanut/caramel popcorn blend with a bit of cola, rather than being particularly cola-led, which is fine, since there are a couple of more cola-centric fragrances on the market that I love in Mancera Tonka Cola and Hendley Cola. It’s more reminiscent of Kerosene Unknown Pleasures in sort of caramel waffle aspect, albeit without the citrus but a little bit of effervescence via the cola, perhaps. Frankly, though, I cannot get enough of interesting gourmand creations like this that combine a variety of aspects for one collective scent memory. This transports me to not only a carnival / fair, but also to a movie theatre / cinema. Overall, it’s a lovely scent and off of the dabber sample seems to perform well, and this makes me look forward to sampling the rest of the house.

God Bless Cola and other perfumes in the house are priced at $55 for 15ml in extrait (30%) concentration, sold with rollerball application, via boutiques like Ministry of Scent and Luckyscent.

More Popcorn than Cola
This fragrance makes me think of going to the movies when I was a kid. The nice theater that offers kettle corn and vanilla coke. You are sitting down to watch a movie in a dark theater with family or friends, sharing the snacks between you all. Its nostalgia in a bottle, warm and sweet. I will say that the sweet popcorn outperforms the what should be the cola notes in this fragrance. You do get it briefly in the beginning, a quick lime, vanilla, and cinnamon that feels almost fizzy in your nose, but its gone in a flash. The dry down is a creamy, slightly nutty, vanilla. This is a great fragrance but if you are going to put Cola in the name of the fragrance, I think that should be the dominant note. It lasted over 6 hours on my skin, it has great projection, and its $65 for 15ml. I think that is pretty pricey for that volume but I think its worth it because with how this fragrance performed and how unique the scent is, you wouldn't have to apply a lot and would probably only use for special occasions, not daily wear. Its is also worth noting that 3% of proceeds goes towards breast cancer research.

A visit to the movies
Unwearable fragrances from Zoologist or Orto parsi are praised. But these are not only unwearable but also unwearable. God bless cola is also difficult to wear. The best way to describe it is to go to the movies. The top note is a fragrance spectacle of many facets. Caramel popcorn, like in the movies, meets you, along with a strong dose of cola, more like cola syrup. Just like it smells in movie theaters near the cola machines. Over time, the cola fades somewhat and the caramel popcorn comes to the fore, behind which vanilla can also be detected. The popcorn smells like it's about to burn, which is probably where the slight smoky notes come from. But by no means in a bad way. Just perfect, like popcorn about to burn.
Back to the topic. Of course, it's not a mainstream fragrance that everyone will understand. But I still find it wearable. What's more, it is truly a blessing for the nose. The fragrance seems to be addictive. You just can't get enough. That's why I find it much nicer than some dark fragrances.

Winter movie theater visit
With the God bless Cola from Versatile Paris you have a very nice, gourmand scent. When you spray it on, you immediately notice the smell of caramelized popcorn. However, this smell is slightly altered by a cola note, which is why the perfume smells a little strange and may take some getting used to.
Although the bottle is only available in a size of 15 ml, the fragrance will last a long time, as there is no normal atomizer, but a roller. This ensures that the perfume cannot be spread over such a large area, which is why the fragrance is quite intimate and will not fill the room.
Due to its popcorn, caramel and cola notes, the fragrance is reminiscent of an evening at the movies in winter, which is one reason why I can recommend the perfume for going out. But also for everyday life in winter, due to its intimacy.
Conclusion: God Bless Cola is a sweet, gourmand winter fragrance with medium performance, which also offers good value for money.

Gourmand that takes some getting used to
I got to know God Bless Cola when I treated myself to Dimanche Flemme from the same brand and then briefly sniffed the bottle of God Bless Cola. At the time, I found it too unfamiliar. But after a short trip to the supermarket, the scent was suddenly present again when I unwrapped a slice of Marlenka honey cake. Anyone who knows the cake knows that it is a sweet, buttery, caramel baked good.
God Bless Cola begins with a very "natural" cola note with citrus fruits, which is very dominant at first. Over time, however, this becomes softer and the sweet, caramelly honey cake with popcorn comes to the fore. This note is actually very long-lasting for an oil. God Bless Cola thus combines all the comfort food (except perhaps cheese pizza) that one associates with a cozy Friday evening at the cinema or a movie night on the sofa, creating a comforting, nostalgic atmosphere

In my opinion, the form of the fragrance oil offers the advantage that you can always have the fragrance with you wherever you go to reapply it, but you can also apply the fragrance to your hair without a guilty conscience if you want more radiance. The sillage is present, but not overwhelming, which makes the fragrance, which takes some getting used to, more wearable.

All in all, a delicious, unusual gourmand with a retro feel that is downright addictive, with a practical presentation form.
