Sweet cereal in vanilla butter
Having been very impressed with the Navitus fragrances so far, I was also allowed to test a fragrance from the sister brand - Vivamor Perfumes - for the first time today.
The first fragrance I chose from the Vivamor Discovery Kit was Candy Pop, because I was promised roasted chestnut. I really like the scent of chestnuts and unfortunately I think it's far too rare in perfumes. But unfortunately I don't smell that much chestnut.
At the beginning, the fragrance smells very intensely of caramel and butter, a little vanilla and really very sweet. And surprisingly flat. I would have expected more complexity.
The whole thing reminds me of an e-cigarette liquid that my brother once adored, which had some fancy name. Some pancake or cookie scent. It's definitely like someone has taken a really deep puff of a delicious gourmand liquid and blown it in my face. As if a visible and dense cloud of fragrance molecules has enveloped you. That's okay for a moment, but if it went on like that for longer, it would be a bit stressful.
However, the fragrance quickly becomes less intense and reminds me more of Lann-Aël. The blatant sweetness recedes a little. The popcorn turns into cereal, but the butter doesn't turn into milk, it remains easily recognizable, as does the vanilla. I also imagine a little apple. But there is little floral, little citrus. Unfortunately, I don't smell bergamot at all throughout the fragrance. I think that would have been really good for the fragrance, a little freshness and an additional, more interesting note to round it off.
After a while, you can also sense an unsweet base. Cedar, perhaps. This unsweet note reminds me of the Navitus fragrances I am familiar with, so perhaps they share the same DNA at their core. The strongest impression remains that of buttery, sweet cereals. So for me, caramel is not necessarily what I associate most with Caramel Pop.

Overall, there is something missing here that makes the fragrance even more interesting. I like gourmands. But rather ones that surprise with unusual notes (chestnuts, sesame, peanut,...), that are not sweet and where gourmand notes don't remain among themselves. As I did with Divine Aphrodisiac, where vetiver joins sesame and peanut.

Caramel Pop is a rather unsurprising gourmand here.
If you simply love buttery sweet cereals with vanilla undertones and don't want to smell anything else throughout the entire fragrance, this is the perfect fragrance for you. I have never smelled anything like it. And what I think the fragrance does really well, especially at the beginning, is to convey compactness and heaviness. Very dense molecules. A little sugar dissolved in butter and heated until all the water has disappeared.

In the end, I am only minimally disappointed. It was a solid enough start to the world of Vivamor.

You have to like it, I don't like it.
Caramel Pop is supposed to smell like caramel popcorn. The fragrance definitely does, but in my opinion it's far too strong, you're immediately hit by a cloud of caramel popcorn and the scent spreads throughout the room. I don't like it at all. I had hoped that it would be a little lighter, but that's not the case.

Caramel pop
So Caramel Pop is exactly what it says thank goodness. Because I have salt caramel by shay and blue and it's was not( too powdery)!
So this very much a mouth watering gourmand realistic Caramel popcorn scent but its still a perfume..... I also get some chestnut, caramel and orchid notes, nothing woody yet for me but it may come with time, the caramel popcorn is the star ....It's so sweet and good. I'm sure it will only get better the longer I have it, and its back up bottle worthy for me.

Realistic, rich caramel popcorn gourmand
Sampling Vivamor Parfums Caramel Pop, one of the new collection of five that was just released by the house earlier this month. Fittingly, this fragrance is a decadent gourmand smelling of caramel popcorn, probably the most realistic fragrance that I’ve tried that features caramel popcorn at its center, with additional supporting notes—namely, vanilla, resins, and woods. It rounds out nicely, still being a rich, sweet, gourmand, but having enough of the salt and caramel to give it some character while having just enough of a non-gourmand based to give it some balance and sophistication. Overall, it’s very nice, not a huge, loud statement, but a comforting gourmand that delivers on its name very well and lives up to the very strong standard of the Vivamor/Navitus empire.

The retail pricing on this latest quintet is even better ($125 for 100ml) than the initial eleven releases ($145 for 100ml), which is great to see, and there are usually additional discounts available and the concentration is still extrait de parfum. I bought the discovery set for the newest five releases directly from the house site, but the bottle are sold both through the house site and great boutiques like Perfumology.
