A trip to Morocco
Delighted that there is another new tea fragrance in the perfume cosmos, I took part in a sharing of Pomello Mint Tea Leaves and hoped that I would get a slightly different tea fragrance with regard to the dyft pyramid. And what can I say - I was not disappointed.
The fragrance starts with a very potent pomelo, which is not sweet, not even bitingly citrusy, but impresses with its natural fruitiness. This is joined relatively quickly by a tart note and I sense the first chords of tea. Quite surprisingly, a cooling freshness announces itself, which for me clearly smells like a mix of eucalyptus and mint.
After the first 5-10 minutes, I realize that I'm sticking my nose into a well-steeped chamomile and mint tea; before testing it, I wasn't sure whether the chamomile would be too herbaceous for me, but it complements the black tea perfectly and forms a tart symbiosis, which also has a slightly green and citrusy feel thanks to the lemongrass.
As the fragrance progresses, the mint becomes more dominant and I almost have the feeling that something fresh is pulling my nose up (similar to cold creams or the well-known tiger balm). This may sound a little unpleasant when you read it, but it wasn't for me; I felt refreshed, if not revitalized, and the association with freshly brewed mint tea immediately came to mind.
The longevity of 9 hours on my skin was quite good; the sillage was particularly good in the first few hours, but diminished as the fragrance progressed. I was always surrounded by a light sweetness and the very pleasant creamy-woody base, which is very subtle but emphasizes the other fragrance components.
after brief research, "Whind" is not a classic perfume-only manufacturer and yet, in my opinion, a beautiful composition has been created here that offers an authentic reflection of its home country with regard to the Moroccan roots of the company founder. When I smell Pomello Mint Tea Leaves, I see the Atlas Mountains, the colorful and lively Marrakesh and a landscape dominated by orange tones. The bottle also picks up on these shades and therefore fits well into the overall picture.
I like to linger here in my thoughts and am delighted that the smell of mint tea takes me to this beautiful place.
