Green vanilla for the crowd
This is most definitely the less expensive alternative to the niche Poets of Berlin. Both are very similar, although there are a few notes that diverge, but the overall scent and the vibe is almost the same.
This one puts an emphasis on the green bamboo note. Vegetal, strong, something I unfortunately disliked. Underneath it, I'm getting the sweetness of the vanilla, the woody tinge of creamy sandlwood, and the tartness of the bluckcurrant / lemon combo. There's also a subtle, but weird synthetic freshness that clashes a bit with the scent. As things shift around, bamboo recedes a bit while the creamy sweetness surges forward. I think vanilla orchid and creamy sandalwood become more prominent. Patchouli also starts to come out: earthy and exercising greater control over the sweetness that was sometimes overwhelming.
Overall, this is different take on vanilla, one that might appeal to people who want something more unique and different from the usual sweet, pastry-like vanilla. For my part, it won't be coming into my collection since I'm not fan of the overpowering green note, same as with Vilhelm's take.
