In 2024, the fragrance is thus one of the great classics. The perfume was created in 1979. Where are we at that time? A new album by Abba is being released this year, as well as one by The Cure, along with another great classic of music history, namely the album "The Wall" by Pink Floyd. Musically, we are at a turning point between the backward-looking, glamorous hairstyles of the 70s, the wild gel hairstyles of post-punk and the gothic rebellion of the young 80s, while also on the paths of modern rock. Just a few years earlier, there had also been a major, shocking stock market crash, and in the UK, for the first time, a woman came to power as Prime Minister. Turbulent times indeed, with hippie dreams still in the background and, on the horizon of the future, new revolutionary technologies, programming languages, the first foundations of today’s internet, and capitalist conquest dreams of unprecedented magnitude.
And it is precisely at this point that the wildly spinning carousel of history flings this iconic fragrance into the hands of its wearers.
What is special about it? It is, for example, the attitude of this rampant capitalism, ready to plunge blindly into unprecedented coups. It embodies not only optimism but also euphoria, sovereign self-assurance, determined will, dominance, and blind gold rush greed from a time when people still believed that the resources of nature were something without value, available in almost infinite quantities. But there is even more, namely an unmasked, masculine eroticism, with which women are here courageously equipped, along with a superior, stylish elegance and a confidence that demands respect. The head is carried a bit prouder, the walk becomes more assured, the wearer automatically becomes a lady, and passersby straighten their backs.
The fragrance is, in a word, a stroke of genius. It is by no means suitable for every everyday situation. This is the perfume that provides the tailwind for success. It is ideal for salary negotiations, the presentation of the latest research results, and important meetings in the executive suite.
The design of the bottle is certainly not coincidentally inspired by the architecture of the Empire State Building, and from the bottle not only the perfume escapes, but also the somewhat demonic bottle spirit within it, which is the Charging Bull of Wall Street in New York. Not for the faint of heart.
The fragrance surrounds the wearer with high nobility, elegance, ladylike charm, eroticism, and mystery, while also delivering an absolutely unmistakable message: Success, that is me!

One strolls through the Vienna Prater on a summer day, buys a pink cotton candy, and then continues to wander through the people and all the colorful surroundings. Afterwards, one sits on a bench in the green and cooler shade, flirts a little, and enjoys.
This is roughly how my associations with this fragrance go. The top note has a bit too much cotton candy sweetness, then comes rose, and later musk. The latter two have absolute classic potential and a lot of everyday wearability. In principle, the fragrance can be worn regardless of the situation and at any time of year, however, it doesn't fare well in high summer temperatures, as the sweet cotton candy becomes a bit too overpowering.
All in all, a good rose fragrance, but the sugary sweet top note is strongly dependent on personal taste. For those who enjoy this, the perfume is a good choice.

When the little love god Cupid was still very young in the world, he fluttered around with his bow and arrow and chose this perfume. A love scent, without a doubt, innocent, floral, fragrant, delicately melting, and of course rosy. The scent texture starts off chaste, fresh, and cheerful, then intensively strolls through a fantastic rose garden and arrives in the evening at a very emotional and perhaps even grand flirtation. The perfume is a bit sweet, yet fine and never vulgar or intrusive, always beautifully close to true love, but always at a well-mannered distance. And yet, deep down in the base of the fragrance, due to the musk, there lies something in love and yes, also erotic, which one does not initially notice.
The perfume will certainly help the little love god in subtle doses to accurately place his arrow.

Bold creation and interesting olfactory journey! A rather unique little fragrance, I think, and actually a beautiful piece of European cultural history: A Roman emperor, a love story, an ancient villa in the sun of Italy, the wonderful book of an award-winning French writer, the somewhat crazy idea of a beautiful woman to create a perfume from these impressions. Perhaps worth a scent excursion for that reason alone.
The citrus notes are initially very strong and quite courageously dominant with a lot of spirit. Yes, but unfortunately, these do remind one, without wanting to, a bit of dish soap. The scent soon fades, leaving a bit of delicate juniper, ylang-ylang, and unfortunately also something soapy on the palate. That's it. Still: Somehow unique, not very suitable for everyday wear, but who knows, maybe just right for a very hot afternoon in the office?
