Childhood dream
One spray of this new creation takes me back to my childhood, and that was a while ago.
Once a week, my mother put my little sister in the baby carriage and took me by the hand. We walked to a drugstore that was in the neighborhood of our previous apartment, but the longer walk was worth it, my mother knew, I knew.
in 1970, there were no drugstores as we know them today. The store was smaller and the store fittings were made entirely of dark wood, with shelves and lots of counters. There was no self-service, you had to announce each product and it was then placed in your basket, with advice given on request. On one of these counters was a large, tall glass jar full of glittering delicacies, tiny fruit sweets wrapped in cellophane. And I got one of them every time I visited: delicious cassis then filled my mouth in this environment that smelled of rose soap, cream and baby food.
This association fills me as soon as I spray on LVEB Rose Extraordinaire. At first, I think of an eau de cologne, not a high concentration of fragrance, some refreshing bergamot, which at the same time brings warmth. The blackcurrant needs some time to develop, then suddenly it is there, dominating the scene, and then a creamy base develops, a face cream with a light, transparent rose scent, that's my impression. Slowly, some lipstick mixes in, some wood and a little smoke and I am reminded of summer in the Veneto, driving through the countryside, where the air smells of sugar beet processing, furniture factories and burnt garden waste. The iris slowly reveals itself and the consistency changes from cream to powder. But there is nothing wicked like in the boudouir of an actress, I rather see the well-groomed housewife who awaits her husband after his working day in a well-kept home.
The fragrance doesn't develop much more for me. It stays close to me for hours in this mixture, only then does the musk venture a little further forward. After five or six hours, I would like to spray again. However, a base remains on the skin that I can still perceive after twelve hours. I wake up in the morning still smelling sensual and well-groomed.
The fragrance has a very mutated LVEB DNA, it has retreated into the private sphere. It's not a statement for the big show, but my little secret to feeling good. It's the evolution from LA vie est belle to MA vie est belle, so to speak.
