Tuberose in orange blossom bed
When I spray it on, the smell of coconut immediately rises into my nose and immediately afterwards a sweetness that reminds me of marzipan, for whatever reason. But I don't feel like visiting Club Tropicana at all. Because I don't like coconut in perfumes or creams at all. Should the blind purchase of Montana 80 prove to be a bad buy? Fortunately not, because at the right moment, the scent of a tangerine touches me and the old coconut disappears.

Immediately afterwards my beloved tuberose appears, harmoniously embedded in orange blossoms. A daring combination, I think, because both orange blossoms and tuberoses can be very exhausting, even if they don't perform as a duo. But Montana has taken this risk, fortunately I would like to say, and has created a wonderful, extraordinary fragrance.

The laurel I can't smell out seems to dim the sweetness and add a little spice. The ambered vanilla blends beautifully into the scent and together with the sandalwood Montana 80 becomes cosy and warm. A wonderful candidate, not only for the coming autumn, because also in the other seasons one could lie correctly with this smell.

Even if you are very, very critical in terms of durability, there should be absolutely nothing to complain about at 8 to 10 hours (depending on the time a bit more).

Nice scent for warm days
The opening with bergamot and petigrain could be described as strong, but by no means as unpleasant. I do not notice any currants, only a slightly fruity note without acidity.

Gradually orange blossom joins in, but hardly lily of the valley, at least not with me. The Petigrain from the top note has withdrawn a little, but flashes through again and again in the background. For me, this is not a negative effect at all, because it gives the fragrance freshness and makes it absolutely suitable for summer.

Finally, woody echoes and a little light musk appear, the orange blossom retreats bit by bit, only the petigrain remains until the end, even if only in the background.

The shelf life is about 6 to 7 hours and is therefore quite decent for a light summer scent. That's all Miami Blues is, but that's all it is. It is a pretty, light scent for warm days and the narrow purse. You can wear it at work and in your free time and even a sprayer too much is anything but the end of the world.

At the top, here on the perfume page it says that Miami Blue is "flowery-chypre-like", but I can't sign that at all, because with a chypre this fragrance has absolutely nothing, but also nothing to do with anything.

Miami Blues is really not a masterpiece of perfumery, but a simple, nice scent for warm spring and summer days and by nice I don't mean the little sister of ... well, you know.

Wake up the diva in you
French Story is my first fragrance from Georges Rech and he has it in him too. But hello, there's padding and not spilling here.

When spraying, I immediately smell the tuberose and tuberose ... actually only tuberose. I don't hear anything from the top note. I search in vain for the bergamot, which always reveals itself. There is no citric, slightly bitter or in the worst case musty breath and if the pink pepper and the pear were ever present, they were also pressed against the wall by the tuberose. Complete.

The main protagonist is and remains tuberose, which occupies and fills the entire stage. A real diva. Jasmine and Ylang-Ylang dance a little around the tuberose, but quickly move to the backstage area.

I perceive the tuberose meaty and a little "dirty". A full woman who can swear like a beer coachman and not a goddess on a raised platform. Gradually patch, amber and musk are added, but they play only a minor role and only support or ground. The only star is and remains tuberose.

French Story, for some reason I want to write French Kiss all the time, I rather see it in the cooler/cold season, because the scent is very opulent and room filling, which could lead to headaches in midsummer.

I rather see the scent on ladies, because I don't know a single gentleman who would dare to wear French Story and in our circle of friends and acquaintances there is not a single man to whom he would fit.

All those who love tuberose and are looking for a fragrance with an above-average shelf life (at least 10 to 12 hours, rather longer) should definitely test French Story. Here at Georges Rech you can get an exciting scent for little money that will remain in your memory.

The silver sister
After I liked Halston Woman Amber so much, I had to have the older silver sister as well. She was also ordered blind and I was not disappointed by her either.

Halston Woman is not a loud, but very beautiful fragrance. The bergamot at the beginning is therefore rather quiet and not scratchy or nasty. I find it hard to recognize fruits (except citrus fruits) because I am not a fan of fruit in general and prefer vegetables and salads. That's why I could never have smelled the black currant. I recognize the marigolds, however, because I have them also in my balcony boxes.

Jasmine is exuberant, but not pushy and cheeky, as it makes a wonderful connection with the rose and the powdery/creamy iris root. Buttrig soft and creamy tender, otherwise I cannot describe this fragrance experience. But wait, we're moving on. The fragrance journey is not over yet.

HW becomes even warmer, softer, more supple and, if possible, even creamier. Which of the base notes add this special "enamel" cannot be determined by me. I suspect that there is also a hint of vanilla in the mix, because amber with vanilla, in the right proportion, gives me such a cotton wool soft impression. It is simply a successful composition - everything fits and fits wonderfully into the overall concept.

HW is a very friendly, appealing, but also adult fragrance, which I like very much. In a direct comparison I like the more serious, golden sister more, but that is, like everything in life, a matter of taste. Why is that? I don't know, but that touch of melancholy just seems to touch me more. When it comes to durability (approx. 10 - 12 hours), the two are in no way inferior and I will wear them with enthusiasm, depending on the mood. All of them.

Finally, I would like to point out that my comment refers to the Eau de Parfum version by Halston Woman. When I looked for the scent in the net, I had to find out that there is also an Eau de Toilette version. I can't say if and to what extent there are differences, because here on Parfumo HW is not divided into EdP and EdT.

Holla the forest fairy
Only recently I became aware of the Halston brand and because I liked Halston Woman Amber so much, Halston Woman and Catalyst were also ordered blind. I have regretted none of my purchases.

Catalyst starts with a slightly bitter astringency and I can immediately recognize gardenia and bergamot. The hyacinth also sends me a greeting, but I can't make out a peach.

Then it's gonna happen in quick succession. For me, it becomes impossible to identify individual flowers after the top note. Only the carnation I can guess, but only because it is listed in the pyramid and I think it is quite possible that some cloves have been added. Then a little incense comes through to me. Economical, but clearly perceptible. The whole smoky sea of flowers is covered with powder and I am curious how this fragrance journey will go on.

With time Catalyst gets warmer and like me it also seems softer, but not chummy and never even nearly sweet. Even in the base, I can't divide the individual ingredients, because here, too, everything is tightly interwoven. I blame the sandalwood for the warmth, vanilla and amber for the softness and moss for the earthiness. Still I can recognize a breath of incense, which accompanies this fragrance experience.

Everyone who is enthusiastic about crackers like Cabotine etc. should definitely try Catalyst. In 1993 the fragrance for ladies came onto the market, but men should not be deterred by it and should simply test it.

However, one should be careful with the dosage. One sprayer too many and Catalyst will probably turn into a true monster. So be careful with the spray head, because here too the dose makes the poison. Sometimes less is actually more.

Catalyst accompanies me for about 10 to 12 hours. But only in my spare time, because it is a special fragrance. Also at temperatures from 25° I refrain from spraying, because otherwise it could be really exhausting for my fellow men.
