Something New for a Change
I am more of a lover of gourmands and sweet scents, but when I got my hands on a sample of Cuoium, I couldn't let it go and had to get the full bottle.
The fragrance is very smoky mixed with a strong leather note, which together evoke the image of a man in a leather jacket with a cigarette in hand. Although I am not a smoker and do not particularly like the smell of cigarettes, I found it strange that this scent impressed me so much. In the meantime, I am also trying to layer it with sweet and fruity fragrances, which works great, but it is also top on its own.
You don't need to say much about the longevity/sillage; it's simply fantastically good, lasting all day and even into the next day, I can still smell it.
For me, this fragrance is something new, and I am glad to have it now.

My Favorite Leather Scent
So, since I love fruity perfumes, I thought I would try something darker like Oud or leather. And that's when I discovered Widian London. The scent notes sounded very interesting, and the ratings and reviews for a fruity leather scent were very good. Therefore, as usual when I find a scent intriguing, I got a sample from Parfumo.
When the sample arrived, I was very curious whether fruity notes paired with leather and Oud would be worthwhile. But that's enough speculation; let's test it out.
WOW.
Very, very rounded and harmonious perfume. Very elegant. No overpowering Oud. No overpowering leather. Simply perfect. This lovely raspberry note is very noticeable. All in all, it is a beautiful leather scent paired with raspberry, which makes the fragrance extremely elegant.

The Great Evening
Grand Soir translates to "great evening".
A very fitting name for this beautiful fragrance. I had heard the name Grand Soir several times, so I went on Parfumo to see what the community thinks of the scent. First, I saw the notes… tonka, vanilla, labdanum, benzoin, and lavender. That sounded very interesting. Then I saw descriptions like warm, resinous, and elegant. I just had to get a sample of this fragrance. So I went to the souks, looked for a decant, and got the first one I found.
Then the sample arrived at my home, and I sprayed it. The first thing I thought… warm, resinous, and elegant. Exactly what I had read on Parfumo. I simply need this fragrance.
The perfume is top-notch. Very warm and cozy. The longevity is very good, and the projection is just as impressive. An extremely good scent for the cold days.

The Beginning of an Era
Back then, when I had no idea about perfumes and only owned Dior Sauvage and Boss Bottled, I had zero knowledge of fragrance.
Then one day, I smelled a young man on the street who simply smelled irresistibly good. I just had to know what it was and get it for myself. So I approached him and asked… Hey, you smell amazing, what perfume are you wearing? At first, he thanked me for the compliment and then replied… Arabians Tonka by Montale. I immediately said that I would order it right away.
And that’s exactly what I did. Later that same day, I googled the perfume, went to the first page, and saw the price: 140€ for a perfume. That was a lot of money for a perfume back then, but I did it anyway and ordered it.
A few days later it arrived, and I was so excited as I unwrapped it like a child opening gifts on Christmas. And there it was in my hand. I applied it right away and was amazed. Such a beautiful warm and sweet scent. It was my favorite perfume at the time, and I wore it on every possible occasion. It became MY scent. I was approached by so many people. It was insane.
But today I can no longer wear it, which hurts a little. I have grown tired of the scent. Now I have a large collection of perfumes, and it all started when I asked a man about his fragrance.

This interplay of honey tobacco with a slight spiciness and the number 1 of unisex perfumes on Parfumo made me buy this fragrance immediately after testing it at Breuninger.
Normally, I am not a fan of honey, but in this combination with tobacco, tonka bean, and vanilla, I couldn't resist.
The sillage and longevity are top! Especially if you let it mature for a while, it makes a big difference and I can only recommend it to everyone.
For me, you can wear this fragrance all year round; the honey makes it perfect for the summer theme.
In terms of price, it is worth every cent to me. For me, a must-have in every collection.
