I miss him...
Oh guys, how many times have I written "I miss the old batches" here? But it's true, I miss the old batches!

My first contact with this perfume was in 2011. My grandpa used to receive many perfumes as gifts, but because my grandma is very sensitive to fragrances, they all lay dormant in the cupboard for several years until I received them as a gift one day. The first perfume was a no-name oil, nothing special, I opened it, applied it to my wrist and smelled alcohol, water, salt, green... Nothing special. The next package, however, was different, it was still fresh in plastic, not opened once, like new! I didn't hesitate for long and opened the perfume, when I asked my grandpa later I was told that the perfume was given to him in 2002, so it really was one of the old badges.

The first spray was really a mess, I didn't like what I smelled at all! I remember it smelled to me like choking on salt water, and meanwhile it was raining lemon juice, really not something I immediately liked. A few days later, I sprayed it on again, still nothing, then again the next day, this process repeated itself for about 3 weeks, until at some point I loved the scent so much that I finished the bottle in one summer.

My God, it brings back memories when I smell it, summer, sun, going from party to party, new friends, old friends, and a certain youthful feeling of freedom. No responsibilities, no duties, just freedom.

Acqua di Gio has accompanied me through the summer of my life, which I remember fondly, and I so wish I could have a perfume with which I could experience a summer like that again one day.

Nice lemon juice
While looking for a new summer scent, I came across the blue ADP range, tried them all, and my favorites were definitely Fico di Amalfi and this one.
I think the bergamotto has a nicer sour note, which is why I tended to go for it.

Now to the fragrance:
Simply wonderful! I'm a big fan of D&G Light Blue Forever, as it has that bitter grapefruit in it, and I have to say this scent has a certain similarity for me too, which is why it won me over immediately.
It opens with a sweet bergamot accompanied by a fresh lemon, then towards the middle it becomes a little more sensual and less sweet, until it finally ends on a tart, musky note (not a woody freshie at all!)

I can't say too much about the longevity... i've only owned the fragrance for a few days and haven't worn it in summer yet, but so far I can say that it has lasted 5 hours on my wrist.

That's what rain smelled like to me as a child.
In my search for rain fragrances, I came across several perfumes, such as A drop d'issey eau fraiche or Clean Rain Reserve. But all these fragrances smelled way too, well... Perfumey(?) not realistic enough.
Until I came across Baie 19. A nice lady sent me a sample and I was immediately captivated, it smells like the air that is totally stirred up by earth, water, grasses and trees after a rain. Simply heavenly.
If you're looking for intense summer rain air, you've come to the right place.

No rain, but a lake in the forest
This here is my first review on Parfumo, since I didn't find a male perspective under this scent, I thought I'd share what I think of it as a "non-target" scent.

First about the bottle, I find it very unattractive, it's flat, it looks cheap, just unattractive. Yes, I know it's supposed to resemble a drop, it does, but I just don't find it beautiful.

Now to the contents...
I bought this fragrance because I thought to myself "Oh wow an Ane Ayo fragrance with rain notes! How great!"
And I have to say in advance, the fragrance doesn't smell like rain to me, but definitely like a sweet lake or pond.
The fragrance starts with an aquatic sweetness that I really like, as I said, it reminds me of a lake in the forest. After a few minutes, however, a very strong lavender note develops, which I find very pleasant! I think it rounds off the intrusive freshness well and transforms the fragrance into a much more wearable and pleasant blend of water, leaves and flowers. Towards the end there is a bit of musk coming through, which I find a little unpleasant, but as the perfume doesn't last too long, the musk isn't really too bad.

To sum up, I'm a little disappointed because when I bought it I thought it would be more like a rain scent like Baie 19, but I still like it and plan to wear it in spring.
