Powdery to perfection
Since I am in a writing mood today, I will write a comment on this fragrance.

As you can already see from my review, this is a 10 fragrance. Those that really evoke emotions in you when you just smell the spray head. Especially with such fragrances, which you like so much, I find a comment all the more difficult.

I'll try it anyway...

This fragrance is for me the epitome of perfection. With this fragrance my love for perfume began. I can still remember exactly how I had 2 manufacturer's samples of the normal Dior Homme as well as this one here in my hand and wanted to buy one of them. That was about 7.8 years ago. The decision was difficult for me, because I liked both of them very much and I had never before perceived this fragrance in such a way as in contrast to 1 Million, Boss Bottled etc. What you wore as a teenager in your free time :-)

In the end I decided to go for the DHI, because I was convinced by the sweet powdery texture.
For me, the DNA of the Dior Homme range is the best the perfume world has to offer. I know so far all the fragrances in the range and can call 4 my own. Nevertheless, the Intense is unrivalled for me.

The fragrance starts directly with the dominant powdery iris, which immediately gives you the feeling of having fallen into a make-up box. Many people might be put off by this, but it's exactly this smell that casts a spell over me. Cocoa and vanilla join in, wrapping this iris until the end, with cocoa being present for me all the time. The shelf life and sillage are really perfect, the shelf life for me is around 8 hours. With this perfume I always feel perfectly dressed.

If I had to live with one scent for the rest of my life, it would be this one!

Oh yes, and as far as the point of reformulation is concerned:
I was at the Douglas the other day and after years I smelled a "new" bottle, with the current formulation. Unfortunately, I can't get much out of it, as it lacks that depth of sweetness and has nothing special left. So I'm very happy that I bought enough supplies with hamster purchases with the old formulation :-)

If you have read so far, thank you for your attention!

Aren't all good things three?
After Percival and Sedley unfortunately couldn't convince me, I was full of anticipation when the new fragrance Kalan was announced. The fragrance pyramid didn't read badly and I had really hoped that this would finally be another fragrance from the house that I like.

I'm actually a big fan of the house, own Layton, Layton Exclusif, Herod, Pegasus + Carlisle myself. I can't get enough of each of the fragrances and I feel very comfortable applying them. Kalan's different, I'm afraid.

After reading MuffinXS's commentary, I could guess in which direction the fragrance was going. Well, BR540 isn't a bad scent in itself, just too feminine in my eyes. This paired with a pinch of masculinity could become interesting. I have sprayed a small splash on the back of my hand. That should have been around 6:00. My first thought was straight: "Okay, that really smells like 540." Paired with pepper and a lot of spices. For me unfortunately too overloaded with spices, so I can't really enjoy the fragrance. After a few minutes, lavender, tonka, etc. are added, so that the fragrance appears a little rounder/creamer. Unfortunately, I can't concentrate on anything more than these spices/BR540 Fusion. I would love to like the smell, but I can't imagine when and where I would like to smell it so much

The next morning I was able to clearly perceive the fragrance, which is Marly's typical long shelf life. From a purely objective point of view, the Sillage + durability is really strong, but from a subjective point of view this will unfortunately be quite exhausting at some point.

Oh yes, the bottle is also very nice :-)

For me unfortunately now the 3rd in a row of PdM, which could not convince me.

Dior Sauvage in the luxury version?
So, I'm going to write my first comment.

To start with: The fragrance itself is not a world innovation, but I still think it has its right to exist. Many draw here parallels to Dior Sauvage, which I can understand partly, but in my eyes the L'Immensite is an independent smell.

It starts very citric and the Ambroxan appears directly, but it stays in the background all the time and doesn't scream like in Sauvage. It's also more fruity than the Dior. For me this is a quiet scent, therefore it is really suitable for everyday use and also very good for the office, since it does not bother anyone.

After about 10 minutes it develops into a beautiful harmony of Labdanum, Ambrox and citrus notes. Also ideal for warmer days.

It smells for me very high-quality and nobly, however, in my eyes this does not justify its high price. On the whole, however, it is a timeless fragrance that will at least displease you.
