Unusual
Takes time to get used to this scent, as it's a profile that doesn't resonate with anything "standard".

The opening is a bit messy, as the quince (one of the best fruit scents) and the peach combine in a way that makes the two difficult to identify.

However, where this perfume shines in the drydown, when the vanillas, musks and cocoa make it smell like a very mellow white chocolate, with the peach exuding its lasts whiffs. Very unisex and highly addictive.

Two Fragrances in one!
There are things that I like and don't like about this fragrance, but let's start with the things that I love. On my skin this gem from Xerjoff gives me two different fragrances and that is the thing that I love. On my chest I get a totally different fragrance that I get on my arms. Chest, I get more gourmand and fruits while being so much more masculine than what I get on my arms. Sprayed on my arms are more floral and more feminine...

Turin Melody in Fragrance Notes
When I traveled to Turin for the first time, I was full of anticipation. It wasn't just the Turin exclusive Torino, and it wasn't only because the city is considered the home of the Savoy and the cradle of Italian culture, but also because one of my personal fragrance passions has its origin there: Xerjoff. I knew I had to visit the boutique at Via Cavour 1, the place after which one of the most iconic perfumes of the house is named.

The way there took me through narrow streets, past cafés where the aroma of freshly ground espresso wafted through the air. Turin has its own vibe-elegant, but never arrogant, rich in history yet full of life. When I finally stood in front of the boutique, the moment felt almost ceremonial. The facade appeared classic, understated, almost as if it didn't want to reveal the secret inside right away.

I opened the door, and immediately I was enveloped by an atmosphere that I can hardly describe. It was as if I had stepped into another world-a blend of modern luxury and timeless elegance. Warm lights reflected in glass display cases, heavy wooden furniture stood next to polished marble, and in the air was a fine scent that captured me instantly. It wasn't just a single fragrance, but a mosaic of many that came together to form a harmonious whole.

A consultant approached me with that unobtrusive friendliness that one only knows in Italy. She asked if I already had a favorite. I told her that I was here because of Via Cavour 1, and she nodded knowingly, as if she had been waiting for exactly that.

She picked up the bottle, a small work of art in itself: heavy glass, golden cap, elegant yet inviting. With an almost ceremonial gesture, she sprayed the fragrance on my wrist.

The first breath was a little shock-but in the best sense. Fresh, sweet, fruity: quince and white peach immediately revealed themselves in the air. I could almost feel the Italian sun, the golden fields, the fruit hanging ripe and juicy in the warmth. But in the next moment, the fragrance changed. The sweetness became darker, deeper. A rose, rich and opulent, intertwined with the bitter-smooth aroma of dark chocolate. Suddenly, it was no longer just a fragrance, but an entire scene: A walk through Via Cavour itself, perhaps in the late afternoon, with a piece of Pasticceria in hand and the shine of the palaces around me.

And then, as I raised my hand to smell it again, the fragrance settled slowly. A warm veil of vanilla, caramel, amber, and musk enveloped everything, gentle yet insistent. A hint of oud flashed briefly, barely noticeable, more like a shadow that adds depth without being intrusive. It was as if the fragrance was saying: I am not just beautiful, I am unforgettable.

I don't know how long I stood there, perhaps minutes, perhaps an eternity. I looked out through the window, saw people passing by on the street, heard the soft clinking of cups from a nearby café, and all of that merged with that one moment. The fragrance was suddenly no longer just perfume, but memory, feeling, atmosphere-a piece of Turin in liquid form.

Of course, I bought the bottle. There was no discussion, no hesitation. Later, when I carried it in my bag, I felt as if I had a little secret with me, a key to this city, to this day, to this experience.

Even today, when I spray Via Cavour 1, I travel back: I see the boutique, hear the soft creaking of the door, feel the warm light on my skin. I smell the espresso from outside, the chocolate and roses inside, the vanillic warmth that wraps everything like a hug. It is not just a fragrance-it is a time capsule, a bearer of memories, a piece of the soul of Turin.

This fragrance is for me far more than a mere composition of notes. It is an experience that unfolds like a journey-from the fruity-bright opening to the seductive-gourmand heart to the warm, sensual base. With each spray, it tells a story that unites elegance, nostalgia, and joy of life.

What particularly touches me is its ability to connect opposites: sweet, but not childish; floral, but not overloaded; luxurious, but never ostentatious. It is a perfume that you do not just wear-you live in it.

For me, Via Cavour 1 is a fragrance that you do not forget. It stays on the skin like a memory, warm and comforting, and at the same time exciting enough to discover something new again and again. When I wear it, I feel like I am carrying a piece of Turin with me-elegant, steeped in history, and full of soul.

My favorite scent that evokes beautiful childhood memories
With an extra discount code, I wanted to order "La Capitale | XerJoff" as an early birthday gift. A fragrance I had sampled and really liked. Unfortunately, it was sold out.
I actually wanted to get a sample of "Via Cavour 1 | XerJoff" here in the Souk. I generally test a fragrance before treating myself to a bottle.
Apparently, I needed a bit of thrill or my reason was on a short vacation. I just ordered a bottle of "Via Cavour 1 | XerJoff". Shortly after placing my order, I regretted it. A lot of money for me, and what if I don’t like the scent??
A short time later, I received a shipping confirmation via email. Unease set in. There was no turning back now.
A few days later, the package arrived. Normally, I would be eager to free my treasure from the box. This time, I took my time. I wrestled with myself. But the package was already here. So I took out the beautiful bottle of "Via Cavour 1 | XerJoff" from its lovely packaging and sprayed it twice on my wrist, waited a moment, and sniffed. I intensely perceived quince and subtly in the background, peach. Instantly, beautiful childhood memories awakened ️ My grandma always made the world's best quince jelly. I could never get enough of it, and a jar was always quickly consumed. I simply love the scent of quinces, and I still adore quince jelly. I did a little happy dance

After a while, rose and berries joined the quince and peach. The scent becomes more elegant and rounded.
Dark chocolate flickers in and out, adding a touch of sweetness.
Amber, vanilla, and musk envelop everything in a gentle, sweet cloud, providing me with a sense of security.
Fortunately, I do not perceive oud.

I love "Via Cavour 1 | XerJoff". A very complex, rounded, well-tuned, warm-hearted gourmand (where you don’t feel like a walking dessert), that evokes beautiful childhood memories for me.

best for autumn
This is a stunning oriental-fruity vanilla scent that leans a bit towards the gourmand side. It opens with peaches and berries and then dries down to a beautiful base of rose, vanilla, chocolate, and patchouli with a woody undertone. Very unisex and pleasant to wear in spring and autumn, with good projection and great longevity.

Strong fruity opening blended with a smooth rose. The drydown is a sweet ambery scent, fruity, creamy and woody. Oriental leaning for women.

One of the best Xerjoffs, in my opinion. Fruity, chocolaty, sweet, musky and a little boozy.
10/10, scent wise. Amazing!

Showstopper - boozy, sweet & fruity opening that quickly dries into a musky chocolatey rose. Engulfing scent trail, let down by performance.

Initially juicy-fruity and slightly medicinal, a rather gentle powdery/sweet fruity-floral fragrance, balanced by a warm oriental-woody base

I see minor similarities to TF Noir de Noir. It’s less rosy, more chocolaty and overall more complex and refined. Both are not redundant imo

Tropical fruits balanced with bitter chocolate and salted caramel. Very likeable. More of an intimate scent, however with decent longevity

Weird mix of fruits and rose with a hint of chocolate, but it all blends together very well as it dries down. Decadent, downright edible.

An elegant boozy rose fragrance that reminds me of a high quality rich and sweet portugese port wine. Respecting projection, not in your face

The combination of artificial gourmand notes, fruity accents, musk, and a subtle hint of oud almost shocks me a bit.

A fine, light gourmand with yellow and red fruits, a bar of chocolate, and caramel. Less sweet than it sounds. Pleasant.
