Sun, what is it?
In other reviews, much emphasis is placed on the designation, the name of a perfume, and entire stories are woven from it. Only with sun does beach rhyme, so it seems.
The sun is a very slow breeder of atomic goo. Its surface is marked by pimples like the skin of an orange. Magnetic fields crisscross in arcs the lake of electric soup, which arcs have several hundred times the circumference of our mother planet. It crackles and creates a radioactive storm that blows against the cosmic wind of our galaxy. It should be noted that sailing in it for just a few seconds can lead to the very last sunburn.
Sun starts with a chord of orange and green, already underlaid with a soft base of resin, sweetness, and wood. As noted with Rush (Gucci), the scent is almost palpable on the palate. And again, while wearing it day in and day out, the word 'chewing gum' has come up - entirely in agreement, only here noticeably more distant. And once more Rush - the synthesis of the scent from individually taken fragrance components, in contrast to natural ingredients, creates the magic. To put it simply, the synthetic, the elemental makes the beauty. That's why I mentioned the sun above. It is different than it merely seems to shine.
Compared to my first contact, the Eau de Toilette feels significantly weakened today. I simply spray it again in the evening at the bargain price of €15.90.

Logo Lego!
Some people are impossible to please. Let's first look at the packaging and its function. A small pouch worn on the left or right with everything a woman needs. But it has to be small, and since everyday companions should also be light, if possible. Everything is included, except for the fragrance notes, which have to share space and movement with everything else as a bottle - that's probably what it means when perfume is pulled onto a spray mechanism. How does one prevent an accidental activation of the scent fog machinery without needing another piece for security?
Through form.
In this respect, the flat red one is genius, albeit angular.
It convinced me completely, just like the Mona Lisa, Beuys' Fat Corner, or the edge framing of my thermal glazing. One wants to press it again and again, put it in the bag, pull it out safely, and admire it. Good and right.
So what comes out? Sweetness, flower, fruit in a sticky, viscous consistency, a potpourri of many good things. Preferably synthetic - with the caveat of an ideal green freshness note that gives the impression of fullness and correctness for the first 30 minutes. Then the perfume becomes simpler and retains the simplicity of a chewing gum. According to the exhibition, it should be patchouli. Without mustiness, just spicy with a scent that inevitably oscillates between edible and not: on the palate! This aspect I know from patchouli from the hippie days. Let's stick with chewing gum. When I tried it on hairy skin at duty-free, the consultant turned away in horror. I think it's definitely doable. On the plane, every third guy had sweeter stuff on his body without even noticing it.

Interesting, successful with wondrous moments
When it comes to men, I don't feel a transformation into a robot, android, or anything similar. The name apparently refers to a manga of the same name and similar theme. On the other hand, the ingredient list is quite realistic. The perfumer today is equipped with scent materials that no mother has ever smelled.
How does smelling work, one might wonder. It seems that there are many types of olfactory cells. Scent substances do not correspond to a single cell type; rather, they stimulate several types at once. The areas of effect of individual scent substances overlap to some extent. It's somewhat like color vision. This overlap makes this sensory perception so sharply differentiated.
New scent substances leave their own pattern on the olfactory mucosa. They can have a wide range, which would only be thick with an additive mixture of natural substances, as it's hard to remove the excess.
Aqual(TM) strikes me as a wild aldehyde, hardly 'ozonic'. The generic hexyl acetate seems to resonate with all fruits. Mugane(TM) and Hedione create a recognizable, rather dry accord with the (subjectively) fading aldehyde tone and perhaps real jasmine. Once the vinyl guaiacol comes through, it simply becomes beautiful. Unfortunately, I can't find the Orcanox - or maybe I can’t. The Ambrox note is often exaggerated.
The initial yuzu is really authentic, more like the peel than the juice, but quite weakly scaled. Moss - I don't find the moss of old days.
In terms of gesture, I am reminded of 'Calandre', with more body from the vinyl guaiacol in a very successful way.
One more mundane addition: the sprayer is powerful. The first ELdOs were finer.

Look at the notes!
There are also carrots in it. It has four different citrus fruits, including tangerine and mandarin.
It radiates over all four cheeks, a light summer morning, framed by petitgrain (leaves, stems). To return to the carrot seeds, early mist, jasmine, and the eternal mystery of oak moss.
Without a doubt, all of this is a fleeting affair in neroli, but the fine grounding keeps it pleasantly on the skin for 5 hours. No trace of rusty anchors, as they are woven into modern cargo ships down to the bilge: longevity, sillage, performance, price/performance, DNA. This water has no DNA, but a blue-blooded lineage.
Logically, everything here is synthetic, but fine fine fine.
If you wear it, I’d love to take the elevator with you.

Bones, old, good?
Garden clove is accurate. Sweet bitterness and so on. In addition, a base that ambiguously shifts between oatmeal and vetiver, woody. And not to forget something gasoline-like that provides radiance, perhaps violet as a synthetic (orris root) as a luxury marker. I think I can also find the Guerlinade, but now in the background - and perhaps that is the key. It is (still) a Guerlain.
What can you do! We acquired a bottle around the 2020s as a 'refill'. Whether this was produced before or after the sale of the glorious brand to the conglomerate LVMH, or comes from stockpiles of stockpiles - how could I know?
In our opinion, they have so ruthlessly 'modernized' their own "Vetiver" that we have now lost all trust in the opulent brand name. I hope this doesn't upset the fans. Whether this perfume now represents the spirit in the bottle, and thus deserves a longer review with historical context and jubilant appreciation? It is - for enthusiasts, wearable, but I think not recommended for the typical office/dance situation.
For those who are satisfied with garden clove + vetiver + tonka, go ahead. It is different. But Chanel #5 EdT is far sexier, even on a guy.
