I find juniper to be a tricky note. For instance, I like it in
By the Fireplace because it's overpowered by the smoky notes, but I can't stand it in
Emporio Armani - Stronger with You Intensely because it's too scratchy and cloying.
In
Black Saffron Eau de Parfum , it doesn't have an annoying presence at all. It's rather well blended in the background of leather and saffron, but gives them a pleasant sweetness together with what I'm guessing is the Pomelo note.
The performance is also strong compared to most Byredo fragrances.
Overall, it's a pleasant leathery-fruity scent that can be worn daily. Not sure it's worth the full price.
