Good performance for Byredo
I find juniper to be a tricky note. For instance, I like it in By the Fireplace because it's overpowered by the smoky notes, but I can't stand it in Emporio Armani - Stronger with You Intensely because it's too scratchy and cloying.

In Black Saffron Eau de Parfum , it doesn't have an annoying presence at all. It's rather well blended in the background of leather and saffron, but gives them a pleasant sweetness together with what I'm guessing is the Pomelo note.

The performance is also strong compared to most Byredo fragrances.

Overall, it's a pleasant leathery-fruity scent that can be worn daily. Not sure it's worth the full price.

A smooth darkness
This was another blind buy that I didn't regret. The opening isn't very pleasant imo because it's a bit too animalic for my taste. But the dry down is lovely. It turns super woody-creamy rather than dark and smoky. I do not detect the cannabis note at all, so I can say it's balanced out pretty well. I don't get mad longevity like the others claim, neither a strong sillage. I thought I get nose blind to it too quickly so asked my gf. She said she can smell it when I'm close-ish to her, yet I don't really have a scent trail.

Overall, not beast mode but smooth, dark, creamy, and woody. A bit overpriced.

Wait for the woody notes
It's such an intense pineapple fragrance. It starts off like a generic cologne, like Aventus. But it's unique once it dries down and the woods start appearing. It lasts 6-8 hours on me and has pretty strong sillage. What I like the most is that it's a spring/summer fragrance and there aren't many masculin citruses for summer with such good performance. Overall I love wearing Hacivat, especially in summer.
