Steamy Honey and Lavender
I went through a fougere kick a while back, after coming to the realization that the original Le Male and Luna Rossa Sport are sometimes considered fougeres. I didn't know that they were a special kind of ORIENTAL fougere which adds sweetness generally. So, I got some frags like Invasion Barbare and Beau de Jour. I enjoy those both quite a bit due to the masterful blending and fantastic performance. This scent follows in the same strain as those being a more traditional, yet modern, fougere.

It is impeccably smooth and mixed well like the others. I had thought that this scent was discontinued after seeing that it's rather hard to come by these days. Until I noticed Olfactory Factory had brand new bottles for like $135 which is pretty great for 100ml of a niche blend. Upon first wearing, I was disappointed by how quiet it was. I could hardly smell it. What I could smell was good though. I set it aside for a while to "mature" a bit. I sprayed it on today as it is going to be hot again, and I am pleasantly surprised. Not only is it stronger, but it's way easier to analyze the scent and it's just lovely. I get moderate lavender and honey, with steam on the side at first and it warms up with time. It is definitely on the sweeter side for a fougere, but not as sweet as the first two frags I mentioned. It's a less creamy sweetness and more fresh. I really like it and am super glad I grabbed a bottle while I could. The ginger, aldehydes, and beeswax are also noticeable upon dry-down. Justy a great all-around scent. The performance is decent as well. Lasts a good bit and is noticeable when I move around and get wafts of it.

A deceptively unique blue fragrance
When I first opened the 4.2oz bottle box, I was a bit disappointed as the fragrance reminded me of men's deodorant and had weak sillage/projection with no lasting power. I made a decant, as I do with all of my fragrances, and let the bottle sit for a month or so. Fast forward to the next time wearing it and I was very pleasantly surprised. Suddenly Percival had pretty potent strength and was last for hours before dying down to a skin scent. Turns out maturation is real, and this is not the only time I experienced this with a premium fragrance.

The scent is fresh, spicy, and ever so slightly sweet. Noticeable lavender, citruses, woods. Definitely is the definitive shower gel scent but not in a negative way. It is expertly blended, and smooth as can be. It is the perfect signature scent IMO as it wouldn't be out of place in colder months. If you can find this for under 200 dollars it is most certainly worth it and performs incredibly well for a fresh scent. This would be a good alternative to Sauvage EDT.

Delicate, Smooth, Masculine
I recently blind bought a big bottle of this fragrance due to the fact that I am a sucker for Oriental Fougere type fragrances that go in a vanilla-lavender direction. I own 1725 by Histories de Parfums, which has almond in it, so I figured it would be a safe blind buy.

Upon initially smelling from the atomizer or just after spraying, it comes across as a unisex scent. But then upon dry down, the subtle spices and lavender come out and it just becomes more masculine on my skin. I really enjoy this scent. A few people said the jasmine was loud and that initially worried me but it all blends together seamlessly in a smooth, sweet concoction.

I do not regret this purchase at all. I think this could work all year outside of summer days. It has a slight floral edge which I suppose freshens it up a bit and definitely has an airy vibe. I can see the comparisons with Le Male and Luna Rossa Sport.
