Love at first spray
One of my absolute favorites and one that always works for me... at any time of day or year.

Wonderfully fresh, yet somehow woody, a little citrusy and absolutely unique. You don't smell it on every corner... which is almost a shame, because it's so great.

It lasts quite a long time on me. When I take my scarf out for the first time on a gray November morning, the scent still envelops me. It feels like coming home.

Sweet artificial mango
The last time I bought perfume, I was given a sample of this fragrance. How the saleswoman could come up with the idea that I - a lover of fresh, slightly tart, woody fragrances - could like this sticky sweet made of synthetic mango remains a mystery to me.

Be that as it may, prejudices are there to be disproved. So I boldly sprayed it on and 5 minutes later I would have liked to amputate my left forearm. This "fragrance" sticks to me so insistently... no escape for my nose.

So I smell mango ... unfortunately not the delicious variety at an Asian fruit market, but the artificial mallet version. Too much for me, too intrusive and incredibly sweet. The headache comes straight away.

Fame is the program here. A typical fragrance, as we know it from people who want and need to stand out at all costs.
There are supposed to be lovers of this, but it's not for me...

I am in love
I strolled into my trusted perfumery yesterday and gave the consultant the following open task: an alternative to Hermes Un Jardin de Monsieur Li.

She led me quite purposefully to Guerlain. Flacon with bee and bee emblem always convinces me as a bi(e)ne. So we started sampling and I have to say that the Aqua Allegoria range has a lot to offer for me as a fan of fresh, light fragrances.

I didn't really want to try Flora Salvaggia because the smell of sage in my garden makes me think of cat urine. Oh, what I would have missed! Not a trace of cat urine, but a beautiful, light meadow of flowers in the morning dew. Particularly pleasant for me: the subtle sweetness doesn't give me a headache. After about half an hour, the citrus freshness subsides and I am enveloped in a pleasant, light cotton candy scent for the rest of the day. I love it! And has great potential for me as an everyday companion.

Oh yes, the price: €65 for 75ml... you can't complain!

My personal scent of the Azores
I bought it shortly before our trip to the Azores and it has been inextricably linked to the archipelago in the wild Atlantic Ocean for me ever since.
The fresh citrus note, paired with something exotically fruity and somewhere a little woody, perfectly reflects this archipelago for me. With a little imagination, I also detected a slight hint of green tea. Fun fact: the Azores are home to Europe's only tea plantation...

Long story short: I love the fragrance because of its fresh lightness, no sweet heaviness and for me zero headache potential.
