Aquatic Fruity Floral Lovers, Try It!

I think this should have been named something that had to do with melon because I assumed this was some boring floral. Melone Salvaggia it is!

I love aquatics but they're always either too clubby, too common, too salty, or too stuffy and floral. I really like this. The melon in this really livens it up and keeps the violet from taking it into the baby powder territory. There's also a juicy green note hovering in the background that keeps this grounded. It feels more youthful than most violet-centric fragrances.

I like a lot of fragrances in the Aqua Allegoria line but most don't feel FB worthy to me - I liked Aqua Allegoria Herba Fresca , Aqua Allegoria Coconut Fizz , and Aqua Allegoria Rosa Rossa. This may be the one I pull the trigger on.

Fresh and light watery flowers

I am SO glad I got a travel size decant of this. It's an unlikely candidate to give the wearer a headache because it lacks any of the notes that are typical offenders for this. The mental image I get with this one is sitting on a red gingham picnic blanket in a field of wildflowers with the scent of them filling the wind around you while you chow on some watermelon. It's light and breezy and sits so beautifully on skin. On clothes, I get a bigger scent bubble on this one, but it is stunning on skin.

Gorgeous water fairy fragrance

I thought i would love this…i was right. I can’t believe it has taken me so long to discover it.

This is Daisy Dream’s sexy older sister, where playful meets edible. Fresh feels a little more than flirty. I am hoping Flora Salvaggia lasts longer, though we shall see.

I identify with this fragrance. It is currently fall, but it’s hot outside. So for now I am going to refer to this as a summer/fall scent. However, i can see a case where it is “Ice Queen In Love” in the winter.

Crisp, watery violet

I love violet in my perfume and love aquatic florals so I bought this blind. The first immediate spray was pure regret as I was completely taken over by melon. Thankfully after about two minutes the melon tames way down and the violet perks up and it becomes a beautiful, fresh watercolor violet. More green than powder. Aquatic for sure but balanced beautifully by the smallest touch of iris.

This would be a love for me if the performance wasn’t so terrible. 1 hour longevity and no scent bubble. Still like it though and it feels nice, if only briefly, on a sweltering hot humid day.

The fragrance Halloween has the same watery violet vibe with way better longevity.

Recently, on the Alpine Meadow

For me, Flora Salvaggia falls short compared to the other 2021 Aqua-Allegoria release, Nettare di Sole. Even though I also welcome the naturally graceful freshness here, and an unknown, brilliant green spiciness has really appealed to me (in fact, I am currently in Spyri's Heidi on a Swiss flower meadow, where Ricola harvests its herbs), there is something that diminishes my enjoyment and the fragrance's score. Sour melon. I don’t want it.
And yet it keeps coming through.
The green, fresh, milky grass: fantastic!
The herbal candies: Who invented them? Right, Thierry Wasser, our man from the mountains.
Iris and violet: more of that!
The cuddly musk: to die for.
But - call me boring, old school, or intolerant - melon? Can roll home.

In the opening, I get a sweet watermelon, fresh, playful, young. Then it becomes floral, with mainly violet. Aquatic notes and musk too.
