Very close to the original
I often like the Intense/Parfum/Extrait versions of designer perfumes better than the originals. Every time when I find a new pillar fragrance nice, but a little underwhelming, I wait for the deeper, warmer, stronger flanker that will inevitably pop up.
Fame is one of those perfumes that smells all right to me, but isn't very exciting. Which is a shame, I'd love to have a little robot bottle.
Unfortunately in this case, the first flanker doesn't fix anything. Fame and Fame Parfum are extremely similar to my nose. Both smell like fresh mango, sweet vanilla and very clean white florals. They lean a bit too far into fabric softener territory for my taste. The mango is nice though, it's not too sour.
The main difference is that Fame Parfum has a fizzy patchouli note and a touch of benzoin in the drydown. It makes the vanilla come across a bit more buttery.
Both notes are by no means particularly strong.
The overall impression is the same for me with both robots: Nice fruity perfumes for summer, perfectly pleasant, but not something I'd chose for myself. No robot for me!
