Lots of blue notes - From the sight of a blind
Oxford by roberto Ugolini ( Instagram: @roberto_ugolini_bespoke_shoes ; @the_nose_behind )
Oxford was the first fragrance that I bought from the house of Roberto Ugoline, completely "blind", I have relied completely on the reviews in
the social media channels. I can imagine that someone else also make it this way, but with a perfume in the high-price segment of more than 200 € not normality. But I must admit without reservation that I was not disappointed!

The first spray envelops me with pure freshness, citrus and grapefruit, a nice spicy peppery note rounds off the first impression. After some time, the very fresh opening evaporates and the spice comes through very well tuned,
my compliments to the perfumer! Often I personally feel the pepper note too extreme, here is the necessary balance for me. The spicy tension remains very long, until finally after some time woods join in and give the fragrance a
great finish. The woody aroma in combination with a very slight sweetness is a real dream. | In my head immediately manifest themselves some blue tones, which gradually reach a great homogeneity, a brief touch of purple is
also present. The pepper I perceive not as a color, but rather as many small rough balls that spread in my yet very sensitive nose. Pleasant, very pleasant. The base I perceive as a very dark beige, I think it is due to the
sandalwood and the slight sweetness that round out this great finish.
This fragrance is universally wearable, office, date or even funeral, you can't go wrong with oxford

The long black...
Opera oh Opera, you joy for the senses!
Since I was once again in my perfumery of confidence and sniffed me through the Xerjoff fragrances, suddenly I could not leave my nose from the test strip. I grabbed a pack and marched straight to the cash register.
The Flacon is from the form and from the cap like every Xerjoff, however, this is wrapped with velvet and comes in an elegant black therefore.
The color I let tell me, since the attentive readers know that I'm blind... anyway.
Let's get to the essentials, the scent. Wow, I call that opulent, a terrific opening, fruits, velvet soft, creamy they fill my nose. I imagine also a touch of nougat to perceive. Immediately I have images in my head again, a large dark hall, candlesticks, flickering candles, a deep carried melody creeps into my head. Cushions, covered in velvet, dark, dust in the corners, not much.
A light melody joins in, musk, vanilla, light, tentative. The notes blend into a great composition, opulent, yet playful.
After time, the pleasure becomes softer and more cuddly, the velvet becomes softer, cotton wool, clouds, a dream. Nevertheless, the fragrance does not lose its performance and is even after 10 hours intensely perceived.
My absolute favorite for a chic evening.

Flowers, fruit, or is something wilting?
Is it floral or more fruity? Or yet none of the above.
Basically I find the fragrance appealing, only unfortunately I do not know exactly what it is.
I was looking for an iris fragrance, had already tried a lot, but the right for me was not really there. Then I came across the Splendiris in the fragrance shop in Cologne.

Let's start as always with the packaging, kept simple in a rectangular cardboard box, thrond the flacon in the middle.
A rather simply held glass bottle with a metal cap.
The first spray shows me a complex composition of various fragrances, no sweet in my opinion, rather a meadow with various flowers. After a time join also fruity notes to it, a light citrus note comes through. I have just kiwi before the eyes...
The 2nd spray puts me in a greenhouse, oppressive, flowery, wilts there something?
After about an hour, the iris comes to my nose, gaaaanz slightly powdery. Dominant for me are green colors, a slight earthy note I can not deny.

Since I perceive fragrances especially (I'm blind, but could see earlier) I would like to describe to you the image that forms to this fragrance in front of my inner eye:
A greenhouse, a lot of green, a flower pot with an iris and a withered bouquet.

Longevity and performance are average, for me a fragrance to a green polo shirt.
I like him!

Vanilla heaven or vanilla hell...

For me, who likes sweet scents Allende is an intense vanilla scent with a very light floral note. That it is in the floral share of magniole I could not recognize, especially since my magnolia essence smells different, but may also be due to the concentration.
Design of the packaging is as always excellent, I like the leatherette boxes from Xerjoff, make super in my display case. The meteorite shard is a "nice to have".
Flacon is super as with all Xerjoff fragrances.
The first spray mists me in a vanilla cloud, extreme but still pleasant. From the magnolia I still get nothing with. The 2nd spray puff in the neck floods me then with vanilla, not artificial but also not completely natural. A very light chemical note fills the room.
After about 1.5 hours comes the floral note, for me still nothing of magnolia to recognize. As before, the vanilla is the dominant fragrance.
Durability and performance are excellent, two sprays are quite enough for me to smell the day (8 hrs).
Conclusion:
For me, the vanilla heaven, for those who do not like it so intensely sweet rather not the right fragrance.
Am to this day still looking for the magnolia...

We're not gonna be friends...
Even a gift horse should smell good!
So I visited again my Jo Malone store of trust and they gave me this fragrance in a 50ml bottle to my purchase. I am very much into the shower gel and body cream and left quite a few € there. Anyway...

Tried straight at home and well I felt transported to my sink, a mix of citrus dishwashing liquid and red wine.
The durability of the fragrance is as Jo Malone typical not the best, after a good 4 hours I could almost no longer perceive the scent.
Sure he will find his fans, I will not be one.
