Not as wintry as I thought!
For me, Pegasus doesn't come across as a classic winter fragrance at all. I find it rather suitable for everyday wear throughout the year. Perhaps in the height of summer at nearly 30 degrees, it might seem different.

The top note is the highlight of the scent for me. Initially, it is rather fresh and clean with a strong dose of heliotrope that stands out to my nose. Heliotrope fascinates me every time. Anyone who enjoys that scent should definitely try "Juliette has a gun - Liquid Illusion." It conveys quite a bit.

As it develops, this freshness recedes slightly but remains somewhat present with a metallic undertone. The almond note is hard to describe perfectly. Maybe if you throw almonds in a blender and smell them while imagining the nutty part a bit less and adding a bit more creaminess. The creamy note is certainly influenced by sandalwood as well.

Otherwise, the fragrance remains quite linear until the end and becomes close to the skin. It is not a sillage monster, but it is definitely noticeable with a few sprays.

It is a scent that never clashes and can be worn in all situations. A perfect all-rounder!

Extraordinary Sillage Machine
A typical Saturday two years ago - in I went to my trusted perfumery to sniff some fragrances. At that time, I didn't know Xerjoff yet. I had some scents sprayed on my wrist and the back of my hand here and there to experience the fragrances in the drydown.

One of the fragrances had a very special note that I had never smelled before. Something medicinal, something woody, and a hint of minimal animalic. I thought it was too out there... especially too risky for the price.

A FEW weeks later at the drugstore. I catch that special note again. I look around and try to locate this person. I search the entire store with my nose leading the way. Bystanders must have wondered what I was doing :D Maybe there’s an alternative that’s more affordable... but no one is there. I give up the search, walk disappointed to the checkout, and there it is again. I thought to myself, this can't be. Then I raise an arm and it clicks in my head. I had put on my winter jacket that I wore weeks ago. One of the sprays must have touched my sleeve. BANG! That was it for me.

Price aside. The scent is a knockout. For those who don’t know oud, it’s hard to describe this note. It smells of intense wood, without the green notes, maybe a little burnt, but without smoke. You can definitely smell the Orient.

In any case, the oud here is perfectly balanced for me. It is very natural, not too animalic, but very enticing due to the clean medicinal note, which slightly reminds one of the dentist (in a positive sense, as most people associate that smell with their inner fears coming to life :D)

I don’t think I need to say anything more about longevity, as I’ve already gone a bit overboard with my story.

A brief conclusion for lazier readers:
Unmistakable natural, clean, yet slightly animalic oud scent with a longevity that is unmatched. The sillage is also impressive and sometimes even misleads the wearer.

Unripe Green Molecule Banana
A few years ago, when the hype around molecule fragrances rose, I definitely encountered the Hypaer.

The first thing that hit my nose was this typically light but synthetic wood note (ISO-E-Super). It must be Iso E Super, but then a fresh green note unfolded. It reminds me, as strange as it may sound, of an unripe and still green banana paired with fresh twigs when you snap them. It's not very easy to describe, but that comes pretty close. Not much more happens. It is very puristic and straightforward.

Unfortunately, the sillage is only noticeable in the first few minutes; after that, it becomes very close to the skin. The longevity is rather below average (5-6 hours), but it lasts significantly longer on clothing.

If you're looking for something interesting and different for the office, you should give this a try. It never bothers, but still captures the attention of colleagues.
