Replica Matcha Meditation or Obvious's Un Été?
For the record: I tested Un Été just only one time, since in the shop, only the store clerk could spray the tester on customers. I would feel guilty if I did not buy anything right away, so I did not come back to reaffirm my impression. I recently own Matcha Mediation thanks to a nice souk here, so I thought I'd compare it to Un Été.
As a huge matcha fan, I was so excited when I spotted a tester bottle of Matcha Meditation at the Alster Haus in Hamburg. "Can you really smell like matcha?" I thought, then did not hesitate to test it.
My first thought was like, wow, the matcha scent was pretty clear. It's like opening an air-tight matcha bag. It's green and powdery, just like I wanted it to be. But then, something really sweet popped out, probably the white chocolate. The scent stayed sweet and milky until the end, while the matcha faded into background and disappeared quickly after one hour.
I desparated to find other matcha scent online and found Obvious Un Été. Since in my city, it's only available in a small, high profiled perfumerie that only sells niche perfumes, I gathered courage to go there. The store clerk sprayed it on a strip, then on my wrist. Compared to Matcha Meditation, the matcha came on not as strong, but the tea notes stayed longer in Un Été. Eventually, Un Été also became sweet, but not as sweet as Matcha Meditation.
"What should I buy, then?" A perfume in which the matcha note comes on strong like Matcha Meditation and lasts a little bit longer like Un Été would suit my taste the best. I also like the sweet notes in Matcha Meditation more, I just hoped it wouldn't overpower the matcha note so soon. Matcha Meditation lasts around 3-4 hours on me, which is okay for an EdT. And I don't mind when I have to spray it again during the day, because then, I could meet the pleasant Mr. Matcha again.
If I want to walk around smelling like a cup of sweet matcha or not, I don't know. But I am happy to spray it when I stay at home, do some yoga, feeling all relaxed.

Elegant, deep, calming Jasmine
This is the perfume that brought me to the joy of perfume collecting. It is also the one that made me realize my love for white flowers in general and jasmine in particular. It's such a deep, classy, sophisticated jasmine scent.
I was obsessed with it the moment the Jo Malone store clerk in Rome sprayed it on my wrist. It was a hot, 42°C day. I was initially only curious about the normal cologne and tested the English Pear & Freesia and Peony & Blush Suade. I was not ready to buy a full bottle right away because of the price. But then, I saw the black cologne intense bottles. I asked what the differences were, and she sprayed this on me. It did not impress me at first, but then after a few hours, I came back to the store, asking the name of the bottle, then later bought it on my birthday. Even now, after sniffing the Tom Ford Jasmine Rouge, Diptyque Olene and Do Son, and Chloe Jasmine Nomade, this jasmine scent still leave a big impression on me. It's not a rich Jasmine milktea like Jasmine Rouge. It's not a bouquet of jasmine and other flowers like Do Son and Olene. It's not just passing by a jasmine on the way to a vanilla shop like Chloe Nomade Jasmine. This scent is more like an elegant mysterious lady with a calm voice you meet spontanously somewhere and cannot get her out of your head. For me, the scent is like that.
I sprayed this when I'm nervous. Or before going to bed. Or simply for a night out. I think this scent could be overwhelming for those who are not into or get headache with jasmine. But for me, it's just perfect. It lasts around 6-8 hours on me, so the price is okay.

My new spring obsession
I knew I had to buy a full bottle the first time I sniffed it in the small 7,5ml miniature. A classic floral scent, but not too overwhelming. Fruity, but not too sweet. Fresh, but not too citrusy. It resembles spring, when it's no longer getting dark quickly and you could see some flowers and some colors. Places get more lively and you start dreaming of vacation somewhere in France, thinking of wearing your favourite summer dress. Such a lovely, dreamy, feminine, elegant scent.
I just hope it lasts longer. With the miniature, it lasts around 1,5 - 2 hours on me, as the miniature doesn't include a spray and I had to dab it on my wrist. With the full bottle, of course with a spray, it lasts a little bit longer, but around 3,5 hours at best. I was obsessed to find a dupe of it or an EdP version that lasts longer, but until now, no hope.
