My Perfume for Studying.
I don't know how it is for you, but I don't just use fragrances for everyday life or for a date.
There are days when I am forced to slip into a role that may not suit me at all. I don't mean changing my own personality or playing another person. No! I mean days when you have to do a job where you have to give 100% and everything should fit to achieve the best possible results.

This could be a business meeting where you have to convince others of yourself and your idea, or a new step in life where you have to go to a job interview where the first impression has to be right, or as in my case, to motivate yourself to study.

Who doesn't know it? An exam is coming up in 2 months. Everyone around you is already studying and has been diligently at it since day one.
But you yourself can't get into the flow. Be it your own laziness or other reasons that may play a role.
You start to question yourself and try to develop a concept for yourself.

How do I manage to be best prepared for the exam with as little effort as possible? You quickly realize that it's just a wishful thinking and only diligence rewards you in the end.

You quickly decide to sit down at your desk and try to figure out a study concept for yourself to be as well prepared as possible.

From flashcards to study sheets, from a hot tea to Ritalin.
Everyone has used at least one of these to concentrate better and be more receptive.

But have you ever tried it with a perfume?
And this is where Mfk Oud comes into play.

Hmm, Oud should be distracting. Not at all!

This Oud is sensitive and only subtly noticeable. Whenever you think it's gone, a little gust of wind comes and the scent is perceptible again. And that's the moment when the fragrance is supposed to motivate you. That's when 100% concentration is required again.

The scent serves as a wake-up call for me but also as a reward.

Much has already been written about the scent itself. I wanted to show you that fragrances can do more than just smell good when used correctly.

Thank you for reading. :-)

Confusion
When I first sprayed this fragrance, I only sprayed it on my hoodie.
Because if I don’t like the scent, I can just take off my clothes and throw them straight in the wash.

That was not the case here.
The full blast of rose hit my nose, and for the first 5 minutes, I was trapped in a world where everything smelled like rose.
Do I now have to perceive everything as rose for 12+ hours?

I decided to go down this path and rediscover the world.
No matter what I saw, I only smelled rose.
After about 20 minutes, however, I found something that was different.
Hmm, quite delicious.
Is it vanilla or vanilla with chocolate?
Whatever, as long as it’s tasty.

But the rose is dominating again...
On my journey, I search everything I find to discover something that smells different. I don’t like monotony..
After about 1 hour, my entire environment changes.
The rose fades as I’m outside, and it smells slightly woody or maybe gourmand?
I’m undecided.

Slowly everything transforms again, and it increasingly smells like vanilla with a hint of wood? Could it be the oud? And it gets a bit dirty too.. Is patchouli joining in now?

So many questions and no answer that makes sense to me.

The fragrance is very complex and changes a lot. The top note has completely disappeared, and the base note smells like a new scent.

What a mega scent experience; Aaron has truly outdone himself.

Everyone should try it at least once.

Another Homme?!
First of all, I want to share how I came across this fragrance.

I had known about ATH fragrances for a while, but I never had the incentive to order one. After Brexit hit in 2021, which felt like it took a thousand years, it became even less interesting for me to order a fragrance from the UK because I didn't want to deal with customs fees.

So, how did I end up with the Homme?
Quite simply, a nice lady from Parfumo offered it to me for a swap.
Unfortunately, I can't tell a great story about how I encountered the fragrance on a walk through the city and just had to buy it.

After a long deliberation, I agreed, and we both sent off our packages. (I wanted to avoid blind purchases/blind swaps)

When the package arrived, I wasn't as excited as I expected and only opened it in the evening.

As I took the bottle out, a wonderful scent hit my nose. Powdery, sweet, and slightly metallic. For a moment, I feared that the bottle had leaked!
Fortunately, everything arrived intact.

Why could I smell the fragrance through the bottle even though the cap was still on and the bottle was about half an arm's length away?
Quite simply, the fragrance oil content seems to be very high.

It doesn't smell synthetic, and you can really sense the quality. I can't make a comparison to Dior Homme because I have so far refused to test it. :-)

The bottle is very simple, finished in matte black with a silver label attached. And that perfectly matches my taste. It's beautifully minimalist.

The fragrance doesn't have a spectacular development and remains powdery from the top note to the base note, always through the iris, sweet/gourmand through the vanilla, and I can't say where the metallic note comes from. They all harmonize wonderfully.

A Homme of modern times. Rum, tobacco, and wood are yesterday's news. The new man smells of powder, vanilla, and metal!

H/S are both a 10.
The fragrance lasts on my skin and clothes all day, with it lingering on clothes until the next wash.

As for the sillage, I can only say that you are noticed in every room you enter.

In my opinion, a very beautiful fragrance that will remain a permanent part of my collection.

Thank you for reading, dear Parfuma and Parfumos.
Best regards, Can

My Second Skin
After a long time, I have decided to write a comment again.
After all, this fragrance helps me take the time to describe it and bring it closer to you. Please keep in mind that I describe the fragrance from my perspective, and as everyone knows, not everyone perceives a fragrance the same way.
For me, this fragrance is not as masculine as some say, and it does not embody pure masculinity. Musk is by no means just a "men's DNA," which is why I believe that both women and men can wear this fragrance very well.

The scent begins with a whole load of musk and drifts into a vanilla/cinnamon DNA, with the musk always perceptible in the undertone. The scent progression remains constant, and you can look forward to hours of this cozy, comforting fragrance. Vanilla/cinnamon should not mislead you, as the two components are very subtle and not overwhelming. I find this blend very pleasant and highly wearable. I haven't tried many musk fragrances and can probably count them on one hand, but Musc Ravageur is clearly in first place for me, followed by a long gap and then the original Musc.

The sillage is very restrained; perhaps this gives the fragrance a certain magical and mysterious quality, although I love it when my fragrance knocks everyone out. It may sound a bit selfish, but I wear these fragrances for myself and want to perceive my scent even when the last neurons in my nose have given up. ?

The longevity is good. Spray it on your T-shirt in the morning, and you can still perceive it closely in the evening. Although this could be a bit stronger, but that's a matter of taste.

I now regret only owning 40ml; I should have preferred to buy at least 60ml in the sharing. If there is a good offer for the 100ml again, I will jump at it immediately and still keep my remaining bottle.

Is it a signature scent?
To be honest, I don't have one, even though I have registered one. I play with fragrances and don't want to commit to just one.

But Musc Ravageur would now be the candidate I would first name as a signature scent.

I hope I could explain the fragrance a bit to you, even though I can't describe each individual component in detail.

Thank you for reading, dear Parfuma and Parfumo.

I already have that one.
The scent was very familiar to me, and that's why I searched through my collection to find the fragrance it slightly reminded me of.

It didn't take long, and I found it.
I have the Oasis Verte from Rituals, and it is supposed to smell just like Terre D'Hermes, which is also very well-known for vetiver.

I believe I have discovered vetiver for myself.
Because it smells fresh, but not like what is often found in the mainstream, like Sauvage.
Additionally, it has a slightly "dirty" side that gives the fragrance a bit of sexiness.
As for longevity, I can say that it is solid but not a performance beast.
6 hours should definitely be achievable, but then it becomes softer and is only perceptible up close.

I can definitely understand why people say you either love or hate vetiver, and there is nothing in between.

Sillage is good, as it keeps wafting up to my nose, but not continuously, which is why it doesn't come off as intrusive.

I can't say anything about the bottle, as I will first use up the sample, but I will immediately order the perfume afterward.
However, based on the pictures, it seems to be very high-quality, which I wouldn't expect anything less from a Tom Ford fragrance.

Overall, the scent is definitely worth purchasing, and I think it is always a treat to rediscover a Tom Ford fragrance in your collection.
