Coconut haters, rejoyce!
I feel like 'summer scent' and 'coconut' go together like white on rice and while some people are all for it, I am not one of them. The note nauseates me and gives me a headache so seeing coconut in most of the ads or articles for Miami Nectar I immediately wrote it off as something just not for me.

Oh how wrong I was.

The coconut water in this keeps it nice, light, and refreshing. Pink pineapple a touch of sweetness while the gardenia keeps in nice and creamy. Honestly this is like the perfect pina colata on skin. That first spray taking you to your favorite beach with a glass in one hand, sun glasses in the other, and your gaze fixed upon that beautiful beach sunset. ️

I've seen people say this scent doesn't last long but I got a solid 8 hours on skin. It wasn't just me that could smell it, but my husband as well. It projected at about arms length, so while you won't be announcing your presence anyone near you will be delighted to catch a whiff of you.

For me this is the tropical scent for the person who has a hard time finding tropical scents. My only complaint is that I wish it had mango. I feel like some juicy mango would have made this a perfect 10 out of 10 for me.

For the lovers of romance
A gentle touch, soft kisses, the feeling of a lovers hand intertwining with yours- Bombon to me invokes imagery of romance on first spray. On the official site it is described as 'An addictive masterpiece for the flirtatious at heart.' but I instead think it's for the lovers, those who know that feeling of relief and comfort when around their person.

Bombon opens up with a burst of lychee before settling into the lily of the valley. Whike this scent is described as being floral gourmand on my skin the lily of the valley stayed pretty dominant, only dusted by a light wash of marshmallow but not enough to give it a gourmand feel. At no point could my nose, or anyone around me, detect the caramel or pink pepper - just the white florals. Now in the dry down I did get the crisp earthy quality of the white birch, soaked in cognac.

This is not a scent to wear of you want something that's going to announce itself before you enter the room. You'll have a nice little scent bubble, radiating at about arms length. Longevity wise I got a good 6 hours or so out of the scent. To be honest I envision this scent being worn on a brides wedding day, a romantic date night, or maybe a day of self care when you need to show yourself some love.

Over all this was a catch and release for me as I do wish it was heavier on the gourmand facets, but if you're someone who enjoys a beautiful floral I think this is worth giving a sniff.

A fluffy candy lovers dream
Opens up as a beautiful candied pear and sugared violet (Some say it pulls JPG La Belle but my skin doesn't pull that way) that evolves into this classic pink bubblegum smell that is dusted with marshmallow. Now despite reading like a 5 year old shopping list this fragrance isn't at all juvenile, in the opening down to the journey of the heart notes it is flirty and fun. In my mind I picture this as an every day scent for someone who likes sweets, an easy grab for that girl going on her first date, or a great accompaniment to all the theme park confectionary treats one will eat on a fun day at a theme park. My point is, it's versatile.

While this starts off as something flirty it definitely has a glow up into something sexy in the dry down. Sexy caramel, warm tonka, and a touch of that addictive rock sugar make it absolutely alluring. I don't know if it hwd anything to do with the new 'Signature Kayali accord' Mona added for the first time but if it does she's definitely picked a winning combination.

Now this scent gave me around 10 hours total on skin - 4 where the projection was moderate (about arms length, I got 3 compliments in that time) and the rest a skin scent. I had asked my husband after work (Around the 9 hour mark) if he could smell my perfume standing next to me and he said no, but he could smell it when he hugged me. On clothes you've got 12+ hours as I was catching whiffs of this as I was moving around for what felt like forever.

If you're looking for a beast mode fragrance look elsewhere, this is not the kind of scent to walk into the room before you do or announce itself to the world. This is going to be softer, not really any sillage, no crazy projection, just you and your sweet sweet personal scent bubble.

I don't like jasmine but I dont mind this
I'm a gourmand girlie and a hater of Jasmine BUT the orange blossom and neroli in this made me curious as I'm a bit of a heaux for those notes . Thankfully the jasmine in this isn't synthic or indolic, but instead smells like a fresh bouquet. It's very soft and pretty on the skin, reminiscent of something you'd wear with a white sundress on a nice spring day while sitting in the grass and enjoying the sun. You know it's there, but it's got a gentle presence to it - you won't be smelled from across the hallway but if the person is close enough they will catch a whiff of that lovely bouquet.

Now as a tuberose lover, I don't find this to be very tuberose dominant at all (rejoice you tuberose haters). It's really there as a supporting role to the jasmine, quiet and in the background. I wish it was more dominant but I'll take what I can get.

An elephant with many hats
Despite being omniscient, Mr.Thompson is quite the curious creature. To some he is this beautiful Iris beast, powdery and subtle. To others he is a gourmand king, vanilla and sesame ruling over all. For me he is the latter and I love him for it. On my skin Mr.Thompson is a warm vanilla and sesame bomb, garnering me compliments and the oh so loved 'What are you wearing?' well after 6 hours of wear time. I was originally attracted to Mr.Thompson for the cap alone as I love elephants, but I'm glad I love the inside as much as I love the outside.
