Sometimes you have certain ideas before you buy a fragrance.

Either you go to the relevant fragrance shops and test extensively, or you are courageous/stupid and invest "blindly" in a more or less clear pyramid of fragrances including the appearance of the flacon.

Of course, the odd blind purchase has gone down the drain; in my case, the exuberant adulation of Montblanc's "Individuel" was my downfall. Yes, I know, many people love it, but unfortunately I do not. But that's not the point either

The bottle of Oxygen is truly no beauty, the spray head is also no stroke of genius.
But let's leave that aside, this creation by old master Alberto Morillas is a real hidden gem. Well, I'm generally very fond of Morillas scents. But not out of blind trust in his name, but because his perfumes really do something

With this creation for "Lanvin" he has put a wrong track, he comes along blue like the Mediterranean Sea.
There's nothing blue about that perfume. With much benevolence when applied directly. Here one is welcomed in a nice and airy way. Rather cloudy than watery.

What then follows is a labeling fraud of the finest kind. Young boy is Oxygen green.
So green that you think you are walking through a rainy fir forest.
A certain earthiness (fresh moist soil) underlined the impression.
The fir resin is ubiquitous.

The Drydown is a blast and doesn't let up at all.
Durability and Sillage are above average on my skin.

Don't get me wrong, this fragrance is fresh in every moment of its existence, just don't keep it blue fresh. Probably you can only understand this, if you put it on by yourself.

I like to try my hand at "lost perfumes" and in this case I do not regret for a second having blindly invested my money.

I can say with a clear conscience that Oxygen makes a damn good and fresh impression even with today's monster heat (31.07.2020) of 36°.
Always aquatic I didn't want more, I needed a real fresh alternative and now I have found it.

Somebody's got to do the gag
"Officer, is it legal to clone famous perfumes and put your own label on them?
Legally you are allowed to do it, whether this is also right you must decide yourself."

This tweet from the police recently went viral. The Police Instinct also goes off like that but is questionable

Whether the designers of this fragrance deliberately took Terre d'Hermès as a model is an open question. That would also be a wicked insinuation.
But the fact is that the similarities are striking.

Fresh earth and pepper spread out immediately after application, patchouli hits you right in the face as soon as the first impression fades away.

I definitely like the fact that Instinct, despite all its earthiness, does not become bottomlessly grim.
One always has the feeling of being above and not yet below ground.

The projection is pleasantly restrained, so that one does not rob others of air with this special scent, yet it is clearly perceptible. There is not much negative to say about the durability. Especially if you keep the price in mind.
From 3 hours onwards, however, it is then only sniffable for persons approaching.

All in all the original is much more intense but also more aggressive.
Whether you like it or not is up to you. I get along quite well with this Terre d'Hermès "light", but Police Instinct is definitely suitable for the office.

...I admit that obvious Billo gag isn't the best.

Much better is Eau de Gaga from the same Lady.

To adopt the introduction mentioned in the heading:

I must be completely gaga to spray freshly brewed black tea with a shot of lemon over my body. As absurd as it sounds, it fits and works - once applied - amazingly unique.

Even if there is no black tea listed in the very manageable mini fragrance pyramid, it is unmistakably and directly present from the beginning. Also associations of delicious mate tea are awakened in me. This is especially nice, because especially at high temperatures a certain refreshment is given.

The projection is remarkable for an infusion drink, the durability as well.

I had 0 expectations of this "Under 10 Euro" (30 ml) fragrance and was absolutely positively surprised.
Eau de Gaga is by no means an 0815 celebrity perfume gag, here one has obviously thought about how to dedicate a fragrance to the lady that is appropriate to her status. In how far the good lady has contributed to this, I can not say

I can only recommend it to all those who are flirting with the above mentioned fragrances and are still looking for a little surprise for the summer, which can certainly still get its time in autumn.

Rather late to write a commentary on one of my favourite summer scents after more than 20 years.
Well, how and where is the best way to start? Do I even write a long comment using all 7500 characters? Now? When the fragrance is hardly available anymore? And now when hardly anyone knows it anymore?
Ma kieken, as we Berliners say.

Alberto Morillas is a perfume light figure and has created many a legendary fragrance.
But what exactly led to the fact that the label "Mattiolo" hasn't gained any importance in this country (at least not for perfumes) is unknown to me, I don't even care

What I care about is the fact that such a great and above all unique summer scent like "Mattiolo Uomo" has simply flown completely under the radar. I don't know of a single scent that sprays such a scent DNA right at the tip.

If you wear the perfume at very warm to hot temperatures, a splash of the fragrance feels like a positive whip stroke, awakening all your senses and the need to cool down. Here "Uomo" lets his muscles play

I am by no means a perfume professional and I certainly cannot dissect such a creation into its individual parts. But that is not important to me personally.
He's certainly complimentary. It may sound audacious, but it's not a perfume - apart from "Dior Sauvage", I've received as many compliments as this one. Well, Prada Amber maybe, but that's a different category

As already mentioned, the top note is through and through a freshness kick with a very special fragrance experience. Comparable to a tour through Sicily's lemon plantation directly at the sea.
After about half an hour a soft and spicy coriander note is added. The pepper described in the fragrance pyramid is nowhere to be found. I am inclined to say: Fortunately, because this is how Morillas' stepchild keeps his fresh and later on soft and pleasant DNA.

Deep basses must be completely "left out" here. Not even in the beginning does the perfume become "heavy" or darker at any time. Musk? Hmmm, okay...but...? Where?

I attest the perfume a good 3-4 hours durability, which I find quite good for such a fresh scent. The scent does a lot of projecting, especially in the first half hour. Once you scurry through the office corridor and everyone knows who is in the house.

That's all I can write about this extraordinary perfume, except...If you'd like to try something new for the summer, you can try your luck to get hold of another copy. I will do it in any case, who knows when this newcomer will disappear from the market completely

One small addendum. This is my first somewhat more detailed comment. Please be nice to me ;)

P.S. If someone knows the scent here and can name a comparable one, I would be delighted.

My nose may not be designed to analyze complex scents, but I know what I like.
And the mixture of Jaguar's "innovation" is very pleasant for me personally.

After spraying from the nice bottle you smell a beautiful fresh citrus note, which develops quite fast on my skin "vanilla" without appearing feminine in any way.
The freshness remains subliminal, but the slightly sweet aroma remains superficial.
I am very happy to have discovered this fragrance.

Jaguar innovation is truly not over-scented but absolutely solid, independent and - for others - pleasantly perceptible without ever appearing cheap. And this despite the price which is between 10 & 15 €.
