Yes, one would have been surprised if the summer editions of certain brands hadn't appeared this year as every year. This is the case with Issey Miyake, for example, and it is the case with DKNY, and it is no different with Calvin Klein.
This may sound negative, but many of these fragrances are mostly made quite nicely. Maybe it's not a buzzer, not a special fragrance that flashes immediately, and not a fragrance that has something completely new to offer (so that sometimes you could say "If you know one, you know them all", and everything sounds a bit negative again :D), BUT: They usually smell nice, are often available for less money and you can get through the summer with them very well! And that's the main thing!
The only criticism of most fragrances is that you have to live with the fact that these fragrances often have a distinct synthetic smell. But if that doesn't bother you, you can take advantage of such fragrances. Everyone else is probably running away, just like I do when I see hot girls in the ladies department, when I want to spray women's fragrances on myself and then get extremely nervous... *sigh* :DD
The fragrance:
The beginning... yeah the beginning. The beginning, the first few seconds, I find quite strange, it smells slightly stuffy of limes and somehow sultry notes. But it can also be that it smells like this on my skin, but that's not too bad now, because it only takes a minute until the actual scent finally comes through.
The top note for me now consists of fresh limes and a little bit of peppermint, whereby the peppermint, like the limes, could come from the mojito. In addition there are light aquatic as well as synthetic fragrances.
A little later, light, sweet scents come through, as well as fruity notes that remind me of pineapple. Coconut can also be smelled, so the fragrance leaves a rather summery impression, especially as the fragrance is soft and creamy and therefore smells like sun cream.
Basically, the fragrance now remains in the base as described and smells mainly of limes and sweet-fruity sun cream notes, only that now cedar wood is added.
The synthetic impression as of all CK fragrances remains, but I don't find it so disturbing here at all.
The Sillage and the shelf life:
The Sillage is moderate to weak. You will certainly be noticed nearby, but probably not for a very long time... no matter, the scent is light and loose, so you can spray yourself generously several times!
The shelf life is also moderate. Well, but still better than some other summer scents that only last two hours with difficulty. This one can be seen for at least four to five hours.
The bottle:
Nothing has changed on the flat and slightly bottle-like bottle since time immemorial, except that the bottle is always given a new coat of paint. This one is as blue as the sea and therefore really reminds of the great wetness on beaches. It lies well in the hand and is therefore quite okay! The tester with me, however, had a somewhat wobbly spray head and did not spray a good fog, but this could also be because 10000 people like lunatics spray on the scent and some of them carelessly handle the bottle... argh!
Soo, I liked the smell here. I don't necessarily have to have it, but I could strike at a cheap offer. It fits through its nice and fresh smell like the fist on the eye... hm... whereby this expression sounds somehow quite brutal, hmm... let's say... like the lid to the bottle! But wait... the bottle here doesn't have a real lid (at least you can't put it on it anymore, if you have mounted the spray head on it), mu ha ha ha, so you have to keep your eyes open! :DD
Anyway, it doesn't only fit well into the summer because of its fresh scent, but also because it actually reminds of holidays and the sea with its mojito scent, but also because of its somewhat creamy aura that reminds of sun cream. It may have a slightly low sillage and a certain synthetics, but since it smells quite nice as described and costs on average only about 30 Euro for 100 mL, I think that you really can't complain here! A "nose" could therefore be worthwhile!
Aaaaaaaaaaahhh!!!! Now I want to lie on the beach, with a mojito in one hand and a coconut water drink with straw and umbrella in the other! And before anyone thinks that I might drop both... luckily I don't belong to those people who are so clumsy that they spill everything... I have to have some strength, too, after all... if you don't have a good "women's tearing ability", then hold the ability to hold two drinks in your hands at the same time!... *sigh* :DD
