I was sooo close....the perfume craze part three:-)
Yesterday I was still at 6 perfume purchases since I came to this site in April. Today, numbers 7 and 8 have joined (Terre d'Hermes and 90s classic Joop Nightflight)...but I don't want to write about those here. I have just one urgent request, please write to me as soon as possible that it is completely normal to constantly buy new perfumes...and that this is somehow an unwritten law here:-)!!! Please:-)!!! Psychiatrists are on vacation quite often in the summer:-))!

For about 2 years, I've been circling around SMW by Creed...not Himalaya...not Aventus...Silver Mountain Water!!!!! The other 2 are very good...but SMW is the ultimate for me...THE perfume for me. Not Dior Homme Intense squared, all the Chanels of this world combined, or the essence of all Armani perfumes...I lack the words to describe what SMW triggers in me. With women's perfumes, I lose my mind with "Aliens"...with men's fragrances, it's clearly SMW. For me, it embodies clarity, purity, uniqueness, and the most stylish freshness. NOTHING on this planet smells LIKE SHW. Just once with my nose on my wrist and words like fragrance pyramid, sillage, etc. vanish into thin air...simply because you feel like you're on drugs...no one else matters anymore...you just want to HAVE it!!!! I told the saleswoman (in a small private perfume chain) that if she could do something about the price, I would take all 3. The response...well, how unfortunate, yesterday you could have gotten 20% off, because on Thursdays all perfumes are discounted. You'll have to come back next week...my objection "...you could also backdate it by one day or forward by 6..." she didn't find so great. I then told her that my threshold has never been so low for a 145 Euro perfume as it is now...and she would have to give me the final push...(in total, at least 250 Euros and yesterday 120 Euros!!)...to finally take home the holy grail of fragrances...the saleswoman then seamlessly transitioned to the company history of Creed and that SHW was made especially for David Bowie...OMG...even selling water in the desert becomes difficult. For that, she filled me a 10ml sample for free...at first glance very nice...but I see it as pure SM...you see your sample lying there...sniffing at it every 10 seconds...you can literally watch it evaporate ML by ML due to the warm temperature...that's really inhumane...and she knows very well that I will be standing in front of the store tomorrow at 08:00 and will make another attempt...I was sooo close...;-)

Blasphemy...stone him;-)
Since I've been here (April 2013), I've bought 5-6 perfumes... which was also foretold to me here... going bankrupt while smelling good in every situation has its charm:-)!!! But where will this end? Perhaps with the Creed Platinum Card;-)??? Anyway... I bought DHI blind at the beginning of this week... due to the praises here...(Hymn with 2 "M"s looks a bit strange!)... almost simultaneously, I ordered Armani Eau de Nuit... despite the very mediocre reviews here. Left wrist DHI ... right wrist Armani. The crème de la crème of perfume reviewers will now groan loudly... blasphemy... comparing THE classic with a mainstream scent... that would be just as bad as pouring sparkling water into your Barolo '97 for a spritzer. But even in wine, you can have the super classic and the new trend wine side by side... and both can be delightful. I must admit... my nose definitely leans more towards Armani. This is probably because I am generally very attracted to the Armanis of this world... whether it’s Lui, Code, or now Nuit, they all have something special (something similar) in them that I love! Admittedly, for both fragrances, today’s weather... 29 degrees and direct sunlight is almost overkill. I found DHI good... but not great... but 2 hours later, a downpour... purified clear clean air after the thunderstorm and the scent literally explodes and gains so much... now I can even detect a fresh note... that wasn’t there for over 2 hours... so delicious!!!! The Armani remains excellent throughout... both are very noble, enchanting scents... powdery-elegant... DHI just has a whole lot more of everything. DHI will certainly have several opportunities to show itself in the typical German summer (rain and temperature drops)... but its true strength will only come into play in autumn and/or winter. The Armani is clearly more suitable for everyday wear here... it works in summer without direct sunlight. DHI is not an option for me in the office in a suit... rather for an elegant evening event... could create a highly explosive mix with the many "Aliens" (TM) of the women;-)! The purchase of both perfumes was absolutely worth it... it’s just like with wines... DHI is more like the Barolo that needs a lot of air... and after hours loses its edges and you find access to it... but then it is an incomparable and unmistakable delight. The Armani is more like the luxury star winemaker Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley that is immediately pleasing... round... easy-drinking and flattering... so cheers:-)))!

Once again the 90s:-)!
It simply can't be a coincidence. Two weeks ago, I wrote my first comment here at Aquafitness by Biotherm that strongly reminded me of Heaven on Chopard from the 90s. Last week, I was swept away by the superlatives here to Escape by Calvin Klein... another highlight from the 90s.
And yesterday, I also (Parfumo is making me broke..:-)) bought Sculpture again after feeling like it had been 20 years (it was almost in real-time)... also one and perhaps THE fragrance highlight of the 90s... maybe I should quickly buy the Snap-Power CD this weekend and a pair of jeans with side inserts and/or lace-ups at the bottom... and round it all off with an Amiga computer;-). Am I imagining it, or were the fragrances of the 90s more unique and outstanding than today? Or do I already sound like my parents, saying that after the Beatles and Elvis, there was no decent music anymore;-)???

I admit that the somewhat warmer winter continuation of spring has prompted me to search for a sweeter autumn fragrance... since I had already stocked up on some fresh summer scents in joyful anticipation of spring. Discount price for 100ml at the price of an XXL sample... plus great comments here... plus wonderful memories of the scent made me order it within 10 minutes. And here we are with the fragrance itself... wow... sniff... delicious... somehow so completely different from everything else I have in my (mainstream) collection. It smells just as great as it did back when we played Tetris at noon and drove to the disco in Mom's Golf in the evening... and of course wore Sculpture or Joop Homme. So the scent is fresh in the first 2-3 minutes... I can recognize various citrus fruits as a layman... but then it quickly shifts into the cozy-feeling-sweet genre... exactly how I wanted it. So I wouldn't describe it as a summer scent now... but everyone perceives it differently. For me, it leans more towards Boss Orange or Jil Sander Sun Men... briefly fresh... then sweeter... warmer "tone." It's like with the new Davidoff The Game... the fan base is also divided into the fresh and/or sweet faction. Personally, I don't care if it’s well-received by gays in Cologne, punks in Hoyerswerda, or my future brother-in-law on my mother's side and clockwise... to my knowledge, they are all people in the end (and also above the line)... or not? It's simply a top fragrance... for me on a cooler spring day after work... and not for every day. Longevity is super class... lasts almost the entire workday with one(!) spray! So now I have to go... to the record store (that's what it was called back then... today it's downloads)... "Mr. Vain" is still missing from my collection... I just noticed..;-)

The good old days....90s;-)
I've been closely following this site for the past few weeks and I really like it a lot, as good fragrances have always been very important to me.. it's a bit like Facebook for intellectuals with taste.

Despite my lack of expertise (enthusiasm replaces knowledge), I'm writing my first comment... even though I wouldn't even be allowed to sweep the courtyard at Fragonard.

I received a sample of the shower gel and perfume and immediately felt transported back to the (my) 90s, when I had and loved Heaven by Chopard and when wearing a Joop jeans and your own perfume made you the king of the city.. especially with a Golf2;-)!!!

Aquafitness is wonderfully fresh-clean-pure.. just like Heaven was back then. Unfortunately, I don't know the original Aquafitness scent for comparison.

I could really sniff it to death.. it's so delicious and refreshing this scent.. but it's like at the bumper cars.. as soon as you sit in, the fun is already over.. and you constantly have to reapply. I've never had a perfume that I couldn't smell after 45 minutes.. I even have to press my nose against my wrist to smell it at all... Mega-disappointment... especially when you spent 44 euros on it and the sample lasted significantly longer. The scent itself is really great for summer and/or AFTER sports.. also just before a client meeting as it is very fresh and subtle. Even if you increase the amount exorbitantly... 10 sprays.. it doesn't get better. I actually thought that after Aqua di Gio there wouldn't be an even shorter longevity and attention foreign/technical term sillage.. but unfortunately that's how it is.. therefore it won't be repurchased and is partly misused as a very pleasant room freshener (office). I hope the perfume(!)-90s come back and maybe Heaven too!!!
