Montabaco Cuba
First if all I should note that I'm not really an expert at describing but I will do my best.
I had the opportunity to secure bottle number #275 of this magnificent smelling juice.

Montabaco Cuba opens up with a fresh blast of citrus accompanied by freesia.
The opening as usual with citruses doesn't last long, and makes way for the "airy" tobacco accord like the other Montabacos in the Ormonde family, mixed with jasmin and Iso E Super.
I must say the blend is very well balanced as the notes in the mid make up of a very intriguing, unique tobbaco jasmin combination .
As the fragrance progresses you get some supporting woodsy notes as a backbone to the tobacco.
Sandalwood, suede and tonka(mainly some sweetness) make their way in drydown as background to the tobbaco jasmin.
I will try to edit with the more I wear it!

Excellent multifaceted fresh tobacco/citrus/floral blend
First proper sampling of Ormonde Jayne Montabaco Cuba, a fresh, spicy, slightly sweet blend that’s smooth and easygoing and highly pleasant while having just a bit of provocative sharpness at its opening. Its main notes are a blend of citruses, florals, and spices—most notably bergamot, juniper, jasmine, magnolia, and tea—with a base of tonka and tobacco. It has a great blended effect that defies categorization somewhat; it operates at the intersection of a handful of different genres and themes without being too over-the-top in terms of being a freshie or tobacco scent, but somewhere in between, with the abovementioned ensemble of citruses and florals providing a bit of a laundry-fresh aspect in contrast to the tobacco or sweetness in tonka. This is an easy one to love and I can easily see how its reputation has gotten so strong so quickly.

This particular release from Ormonde Jayne, a limited edition, is on the pricier side of the brand, at $275 for 88ml (sold via boutiques like Perfumology), but its utility is extremely high, as this could easily be an everyday type of fragrance that is nevertheless very sophisticated and special.

I quite love it but I’m not sure I’ll ever spring for it, a comparable situation for me to the Lubin Aristia collection—especially Sinbad and Galaor—that I undoubtedly regard as excellent but perhaps just do not need a full 100ml of, given the price point.

Still, this Montabaco Cuba is very special and I would highly recommend checking it out, as it could be extremely useful to some.

A "Blue" Montabaco
Montabaco Cuba takes the original dry ozonic tobacco of the original 4. Montabaco Parfum and adds a slightly sweet coumarin and a stronger tea accord to give it a more mass-appealing freshness. The original (I own the Parfum but have not tried Intensivo, but I have heard they are very similar) has a sharp, piercing quality that is toned down here. It very much sits in between Amyris Homme Eau de Toilette and Sedley. It has the soft woody quality of Amyris, but also the sparkling sweet nature of Sedley. All in all, I prefer Parfum, but Cuba is a great flanker and definitely not redundant.

Little Latin America
A rich, complex fragrance that tries to capture the Latin American atmosphere.
The opening is dominated by the citrus line, with the bergamot-lemon-orange trio, then complemented by freesia and juniper.
After the opening, the woody-floral notes unfold: magnolia-jasmine-dry woods, tea.
The base notes are dominated by vanilla-sandalwood-tobacco leaf, which makes the harmony creamy-slightly sweet.
Despite the Iso-E, it is not long-lasting enough on my skin, unlike the other absolutely great fragrance, which is Montabaco Intensivo.

The Cigar Lounge
I still remember the moment I first sprayed Montabaco Cuba. It was on a cool autumn evening, the city bathed in a gentle, golden light, and I had just finished a long day at work. I wanted something that conveyed not just fragrance, but also mood - something that radiates warmth and character.

As I opened the bottle and gave the first spray on my wrist, I was immediately greeted by a fascinating blend of tobacco and spices. It was as if I stepped into an old Cuban cigar lounge, where the air smells heavy yet pleasant, filled with smoky woods and a hint of sweetness. This scent felt not only luxurious but also familiar, almost like a memory of moments I had not yet experienced, but felt deeply within me.

Over the hours, Montabaco Cuba transformed on my skin. The initial spiciness softened, becoming gentler, while the woody notes intertwined with a warm vanilla and a touch of amber. It was a fragrance that spoke to me, making me feel both calm and confident. I noticed how it changed my mood: suddenly, the autumn evening no longer felt cool, but cozy and vibrant at the same time.

For me, Montabaco Cuba is not just a perfume - it is a small moment of self-discovery. It reminds me that fragrances can be more than just a pleasant aroma: they are stories, moods, little time capsules. Every time I wear this scent, I am reminded of how important it is to give myself little moments of elegance and joy amidst everyday life.

Montabaco Cuba has become my quiet companion, a fragrance that radiates both strength and tranquility, reminding me that personality can be expressed not only through words but also through sensory impressions. And so I continue to wear it as a reminder that every moment, every breath, holds the possibility of experiencing something special.

Wonderful fresh, citrusy, floral, woody, dry tobacco, not overly sweet fragrance. Less ashy than verano. Classy, versatile. Awesome.

Fresh, juicy and sweet tropical fruits, mainly mandarin. The base is floral with a dominant ISO-E Super, woody, musky and slightly leathery.

It's like they threw Imagination, Afternoon Swim, and Amyris into a pot. Fruity, creamy, fresh. I'm thrilled. H/S is good and pleasant.
