You forgot your sweater at my place
Last weekend, a friend spent the night at my place, we made ourselves comfortable on the sofa and talked for hours about God and the world until our eyes fell shut. When she said goodbye the next day, she accidentally left her sweater behind.

Missing Person smells just like this sweater: cuddly, soft, like a familiar person that you really like. It smells like a friend, a mother, a sister.

Missing Person is not a clean fragrance, rather a cuddly fragrance, an aura fragrance. Lots of musk, but no detergent, more skin-like musk. Warm skin, creamed with delicate flowers and transparent peach. Soft skin with a light veil of vanilla, the late drydown from the previous day's fragrance, almost just a memory. Delicate skin, but fortunately not too human.

I got to know the fragrance as part of a traveling letter - the social media hype that some people are talking about here completely passed me by. I was able to test it without any expectations and fell in love with it because it is what it is: quiet, familiar, comforting, safe.

Marshmallow fairy dust
Pour Femme is a fantastically playful and delicate marshmallow fragrance. From beginning to end, it envelops me like transparent, sweet and powdery fluffy fairy dust. Subtly fruity at the beginning and then becoming increasingly cuddly, it gives me a sense of security and comfort on the increasingly gray days of autumn.

Because of its marshmallow note, Pour Femme is often compared to "Oriana | Parfums de Marly" or "Love Don't Be Shy (Perfume) | Kilian" - but I find it much softer and more cuddly, less "perfumey" and loud

I spray the fragrance exclusively on my clothes (and very generously with 6-7 sprays), as it unfortunately only lasts for a very short time on my skin. Even with my discreet overdosing, Pour Femme is still a quiet and private fragrance, and that is exactly what I find particularly pleasant.

It's a shame that the fragrance is being discontinued just as I finally fell in love with it after a few weeks of hesitantly approaching it, thanks to the uncomfortable weather.

It was love at first spray
Dans Paris is a bright, soft, aromatic, airy fragrance. Powdery fluffy trickle vanilla with light green citrusy herbal speckles. Dans Paris doesn't have much in common with many other vanilla scents that smell like grandma's waffles or other delicacies. This scent is more elegant, subtle, floaty and enchanting. No fragrance with which you slay his counterpart olfactory, fortunately.

I tested it in parallel with "Angélique Noire | Guerlain", both fragrances are kindred and yet different. Compared to Guerlain's herbaceous green vanilla, Dans Paris is much lighter, less bitter, friendlier, more uncomplicated. Both flacons reflect the characters of the fragrances visually very well.

The association of the top note with dough I can remotely understand, even if the fragrance does not smell like that to me. Anyone who has ever processed coriander seeds in the kitchen, recognizes in the top note the smell of the finely spicy, citrusy essential oils that emanate when crushing the seeds. Laurel I also identify, though not a dried leaf, but a fresh green one plucked directly from the bush. None of these aromas pushes itself into the foreground, it is just a fine, invigorating veil that mixes with the cloud vanilla.

In the drydown caresses me the most beautiful, noble vanilla, which is in no way inferior to the legendary "Guerlain vanilla". It is at the same time subtly sweet, meanwhile a little more musky creamy than powdery and still insanely sophisticated. The entire scent makes me feel secure, which is why I especially love wearing Dan's Paris at home. Sprayed on in the evening I perceive the fragrance even the next morning.

Not so long ago it was a mystery to me why you should spend so much money on a bottle, but this high-quality and fine fragrance is worth every penny.

Fall asleep with clarity, wake up in security
Nothing but Sea and Sky is my home fragrance. With him I go to sleep, although I never wanted to wear a fragrance at night, because I long late at night only for peace and clarity. But this fragrance gives me exactly that.

It starts off fresh and a bit scratchy woody - here I understand the sea association, though it's rather less the sea itself and more a piece of sun faded wood on a barren beach. This sandalwoody prelude also reminds me of fresh laundry dried in the garden and gives me the feeling of purity, but without that synthetic, the fresh laundry scents otherwise often have in itself.

After a while, the scent transforms and becomes soft and creamy, the sandalwood becomes coconutty and slightly sweet, but still remains lighthearted and transparent. Distant kinship I recognize to "This Is Her! | Zadig & Voltaire", only much more natural, less sweet and dense. But just as clean, creamy, soft, lulling.

And so I go to sleep with the neutralizing and soothing freshness of the top notes, and wake up in the morning accompanied by the cozy security of the base.

Nothing but Sea and Sky is a rather quiet fragrance, which nevertheless unfolds its magic through the sillage. You can and should use it generously, under 6-8 sprays I never stay. He surrounds me like an aura and envelops me gently like a soft linen dress (or a linen sheet, to stay with my sleep narrative).

And now - good night and sleep well.
