The elegant companion 'Naxos'
I thought long and hard about which of the advertised, wonderful fragrances from Xerjoff would be the one to move into my home. As you all know, it's hard to decide, because you'd like to have all of them - the ones you find interesting - around you right away.
And so I initially opted for the apparent classic Naxos.

When I arrive, I open the wonderful, extremely high-quality leather case (a case is only a mediocre description at this point - more of a leather-covered, incredibly valuable box with closing magnets). The Naxos smiles at me, warm and honey-colored. I take it out and look at it. It feels heavy and valuable. The golden cap comes off with a click and a discreetly firm tug - so it can't fall off so easily.
I roll up the sleeves of my fresh shirt, lift the bottle and press the nebulizer. A perfect little spray pours out instantly and delicately moistens my arm. An olfactory cloud rises in the middle of my room and embraces me.
Something inside me changes instantly. I inhale deeply through my nose, enveloped in a pleasant, wonderfully balanced sweetness. An unusual sweetness. Not the kind we are familiar with from the days of Joop Homme - no synthetic, overpowering heaviness - no, a delicate, loving, embracing, honey-like sweetness, slightly modified with citrusy notes by the bergamot. I immediately start dreaming. I feel touched inside. I feel patronizing towards others. In my little world consisting of my nose, my arm and this wonderful fragrance, time suddenly stops and the worries of everyday life and the world fade away. I get dressed and start the day. It's a Sunday - a good day for the Naxos. Far away from the stress and hustle and bustle.
The citrusy note fades quickly, within minutes to the first half hour - at least on my skin - and the characteristics of the fragrance begin to change. It becomes deeper, heavier and more elegant. A gentleman's fragrance. Even if I'm not wearing a good suit, I feel like one. The warmth envelops me and the spicier elements come more and more to the fore as the day progresses due to the influence of the tobacco. Always polite. Not intrusive. Loving and embracing and above all - addictive. I find myself constantly smelling my arm and smiling.
That's always a good sign, I tell myself. I spend most of the day alone - and enjoy having time to myself for a while and sharing this experience with myself.
In the spicy warmth, the Naxos slowly fades after 6 hours. The notes remain and simply become quieter and quieter. Like a setting sun.
What can you say about a day when the stress falls away, the sun shines and spring pushes the buds out of the plants? A day on which you can gather beautiful experiences, have nice conversations and enjoy good food. In the evening, you watch the sun go down and enjoy the last warming rays. Satisfied all round. This is the Naxos from Xerjoff.
