Oh Richwood my Richwood, where have you left your wood?
I was more than excited to test the Richwood. Because of the price and the name, I somehow put the Stone Label Collection from Xerjoff on a little pedestal and had high hopes and expectations. Somehow wrongly so. Some people will now be asking themselves:
"But wait, how can it be that I read such words and at the same time see that the fragrance AMano here gives a 9.5 for the fragrance?"
Let me explain.
To this day, I look for the rich wood in the fragrance that is in the name. Both in the fragrance and in the individual fragrance oils that are listed. I can't really find it. Neither in one nor in the other.
But let's start from the beginning. For me, this fragrance starts off a little fresh and fruity. Quite pleasant - not like a combination of "Torino21 | XerJoff" and "Erba Pura | XerJoff" - not like that, of course. But a subtle fruitiness that probably comes from the blackcurrant, grapefruit, mandarin and bergamot. Beautiful. Not intrusive, rather quiet and not accompanied by a tremendous sillage or anything like that.
I am still often surprised when I put on "Richwood | XerJoff" that these scents are the first to emerge.
But now comes the absolute prime time of the fragrance for me. The fruitiness and freshness slowly recede - after just a few minutes - and the heart opens up. To my nose, the fragrance develops into a classic men's fragrance from the past. Only somehow without being stale or something you've smelled a hundred times before. I strongly suspect that this is the rose geranium. I've often found it in perfumes that I thought were particularly good. It is incredibly round and perfect. Warm, slightly sweet but again without being overpowering. Absolutely classic, I would say. Perhaps it even has something slightly soapy and clean in it that slowly comes to the fore.
And it stays that way until the end, fading ever more softly. One could imagine to sniff sandalwood. I would be happy if this wonderful fragrance lived up to its name, at least in part. I imagine myself wearing a good suit or a loose linen shirt on vacation. But it can also be worn just as well as an everyday signature fragrance.

When I first tested it, I wasn't really convinced and put my sample away again. After maybe two months, I picked it up again with the thought in my head 'It can't be that you think it's so stupid'. And my opinion actually changed immediately. What can I say? Suddenly I have a bottle with me and I love it. Even if the price is unfortunately incredibly expensive and I don't know where it comes from apart from huge profits for the house of Xerjoff. Neither the longevity nor the sillage is bombastic. But the fragrance is exceptionally beautiful in my opinion. It's also great for women, of course.
I would say that every perfume enthusiast should try it! Or even should. But don't be confused by the name.

Greetings to you all.

The perfect fresher
Uden really is what so many people say it is. The perfect fresh summer fragrance for every gender. I can only echo that.
It starts with strong citrusy notes and a certain creaminess that is already waiting in the background to step into the limelight. After about an hour, this sweeter, vanilla-tinged creme brulee-like fragrance gets its prime time and pushes past the citrus. Not that it is completely displaced, on the contrary. Nevertheless, it persists and accompanies your fragrance experience to the end. It develops into a fragrance that metamorphoses into a goumandy corner.
I think that describes the fragrance sufficiently. It may sound a little boring to some people, but I can say that although I'm not a big fan of very fresh or citrusy fragrances, I liked "Uden | XerJoff" so much that I bought a bottle straight away. And I haven't regretted it! Accordingly, I would say that everyone should try it, regardless of whether you like summery fragrances or not - you could be extremely surprised, as I was. Almost everyone I know - and most of them tend to smile at the perfume hobby - says the fragrance is wonderful. I think that's very rare.
Of course, the price is a bit steep, that's for sure. And there are certainly alternatives that are much cheaper - but I still think it's worth it. Simply because of its beauty and the fact that I really want to wear this fragrance. Today is a gray Tuesday with drizzle and about 5 degrees. And yet I'm wearing it and smiling every time this little olfactory wonder rises from my arm into my nose. For all those who say the price is so expensive that the fragrance is not worth it: I am convinced that the price-performance ratio depends very much on how much I like wearing this fragrance. Unfortunately, we can't tell from the price whether the ingredients are of a particularly high quality (even if I think they are with Xerjoff) - but if I enjoy a fragrance so much and wear it regularly and with pleasure, then the approx. 180 euros for the 50 ml that I bought new and sealed here are fine in my eyes. But of course everyone has to decide for themselves. It's still a lot of money in any case.
In any case, we haven't exactly chosen the cheapest hobby
Greetings to all of you out there

The all-rounder and compliment catcher...
One of my absolute favorite fragrances! Even as a young teenager, I often came across the original Le Mâle Eau de Toilette. I always liked it without ever seriously considering buying it. Years later, I came across the unknown Le Male Le Parfum in a cute little old town perfumery in Meissen. It was probably love at first sniff.
This wonderful fragrance starts spicy and slightly oriental - especially with a very warm and pleasant cardamom. It immediately fills the room in an extremely positive sense - not too intrusive and yet absolutely present. It is a perfume, not an eau de toilette or similar, and it shows.
As it progresses, it becomes deeper and more sensual. You could speculate how many fragrance notes you can smell. Personally, I can't - and I don't have to. I can definitely confirm a sweet, spicy base - everything else remains magic for me.
One thing is a fact. I have never received so many compliments for a fragrance. From both women and men. It seems that everyone is enthusiastic about this heavy, young-at-heart yet gentlemanly fragrance... this wonderful Le Male DNA has been inspiring for decades now.
Furthermore, it has to be said, designer fragrance or not - I have never smelled it on anyone else or met anyone who said: "Oh, I also have Le Mâle Le Parfum.
Price performance: Top! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
It doesn't always have to be the most exclusive niche fragrance. This one is in no way inferior to a Xerjoff or MFK - in my opinion. A clear recommendation for anyone who is a fragrance enthusiast - regardless of gender.
Love you out there. See you soon.

On the wooden boat towards the sunset? Or dreaming next to the rose bed?
The crew packs the last loads onto the old wooden sailing ship at the quay. It had been a long, exhausting winter and the sailing trips were tough due to the cold and winds. The crew had unloaded an incredible amount of goods. From the New Indies via Madagascar. Now the time has finally come and the home port is calling. The last barrel of exotic flowers is heaved onto the planks with jubilation. The sailor sighs.
'Home at last,' he thinks to himself and lets his gaze wander from the bow of the ancient sailing boat. A light breeze is blowing and the smell of salt fills his nose. He tilts his head slightly and watches as the rays of the setting sun kiss the sea and slowly fade. Behind him, the palm trees sway on the beach and the hustle and bustle of the harbor slowly fades. The seagulls bid farewell to the day. The boat creaks and the ropes holding it are released.
"Full speed ahead!" shouts the ship's captain and the crew hurriedly take their seats and get to work. We are heading home - to where the flowers bloom. Towards the setting sun with billowing sails. Full of anticipation and peace.

I had this image when I applied the 40 Knots for the first time. I guess it was also influenced by the name and the fact that many people say it smells like a salty sea breeze. And in my world it does. Especially the opening up to the first 2 hours smell somehow aquatic and salty, soft. Fresh and yet warm. Beautiful! I really fell in love with it straight away and found it incredibly wonderful.

I drove to a friend's house and got out of the car. I had freshened up the fragrance maybe 30 minutes beforehand with one or two sprays to get there in full oflactic juice. Standing in front of the door, I was greeted with a smile. During the welcoming hug, the first question was: 'Wow, you smell like roses!
Somehow I'm a little depressed and think 'What? I smell like the sea and the sun. But not roses?'
The more I think about it, the more I understand what people meant. You really can smell a rose instead of the salty aquatic one. Some people will now think what's going on with me, that it can't be. As I said. I've been a little traumatized since the experience. Perhaps someone has had similar experiences?

I like the 40 Knots. I think it's a really successful composition and wearable from the first days of spring to the last rays of summer. One of the few fragrances where I wanted a bottle as soon as I tried it (despite the mix of rose and aquat ;) ) and am now very happy that it has moved in with me. Wearable for men and women. Especially when it gets warmer and both during the day and in the evening for dinner or strolling through the city. The longevity and sillage are not so good for me, but that's ok. Not every fragrance has to be Beast Mode. I see it rather positively and think you could use the 40 Knots in the morning and either freshen it up in the evening or simply put a Beast Mode fragrance on top and see what happens. Definitely recommendable - at least with a small sample!

Greetings to you all.

Incense sticks from India.
The Xerjoff Homme Anniversary starts unexpectedly fresh and citrusy. Very pleasant - even if you would expect something else at first with the Stone Label Homme. I don't know about you, but the series and the name alone don't necessarily make me think of something fresh and citrusy first. And yet I like it! Of course, it's not like a Torino 21 or Uden. A soft citrus note that already gives an idea of where the olfactory journey will take us.
Then, after a few minutes, the fragrance begins to change. What immediately comes to mind as I sniff my wrist is the word 'aromatic'. Spicy is also true, but aromatic is somehow even better. Different nuances vary with each other. Somehow I understand the people who say they can smell a certain leatheriness, or an oriental spiciness. It just reminds me one-to-one of incense sticks from the past.
An image comes to mind. I myself am around 20 to 25 years old, wearing colorful wide hippie clothes, standing on the dance floor of a festival and the various smells of incense sticks from the chai stalls, Indian accessories and the diversity of the people. The sun is setting and I am holding a steaming cup of spiced chai in my hand, smelling of the distance and longing of travel.
I also think of one of my first relationships, who looks at me with her beautiful eyes and tells me: "One reason why I fell in love with you is that you always smelled of incense sticks"..
So you can tell that I have a certain affinity with the scent. However, I don't actually have any associations with 'noble' or 'gentleman' or a stereotype of man, just a little trip to distant lands and perhaps also to festival culture and my own past.
The more we sniff each other in the drydown, the warmer and more vanilla-like the fragrance becomes, until it is allowed to slowly fade away.
What can I say in conclusion? Is the fragrance really more for men? Personally, I wouldn't say so. I believe that there are many women who also like to wear it. Can you wear it every day? Yes (if your wallet allows it). The longevity and sillage are not particularly outstanding in my eyes, but it definitely has a certain uniqueness. Until I have the necessary change to put one of these bottles in my cupboard one day, I'll stick to occasionally lighting a stick of incense. In the end, it's almost the same - for me.
Love to all of you out there.
