Aventus' annoying twin brother
Rarely has a dupe been as polarizing as this one.

For some it is a synthetic toilet stone, for others it is the better, because longer-lasting, much cheaper Aventus.

So here we are talking about the EdP version and although I can't compare it to the EdT, I can compare it to the original.

I've always liked the DNA - that's easy to say. A blend of pineapple and blackcurrant is complemented by smoky notes - Ombre Nomade is similarly simple in its DNA and also an absolute classic. It often doesn't take much.

Club de Nuit opens citrusy... very citrusy, that's no secret, but I look in vain for the often-maligned toilet note in the EdP. This one smells good right from the start, but unlike Aventus.

A few minutes later, the pineapple comes through and the smoky note is added - at this point, it smells the same to me as the original. Yes, it is much more intense, which can probably give it a synthetic feel, but if you compare the notes 1:1, you will find that the original smells exactly the same, albeit a little finer and, above all, much less noticeable and intense - if you dilute the Club de Nuit, you will achieve a similar effect.

Not much needs to be said about longevity - CdN has become legendary for its longevity and this has not changed to this day. For me, the problem is that I quickly develop fragrance blindness and over-spray this fragrance almost every time I wear it.
This was probably worst when I tested it properly for the first time.
We were on a family vacation in a children's hotel and I filled a 10ml bottle from the 200ml brick bottle (which is very bulky).

Many families must have cursed me when they got on the elevator after or with me. I even used it on my bathrobe for the hotel spa so that I could smell this wonderful fragrance while swimming.
I don't need to explain how it developed in the warm, tropical indoor pool climate - the whole hall smelled of it.

There is absolutely no need to worry about the sillage - quite the opposite. It should be dosed very carefully, otherwise you will overwhelm others with the fragrance. This is also advisable if you want people to confuse it with Aventus. 3 sprays are probably already too much.

All in all, it's a very good, inexpensive dupe with incredible longevity and sillage. I can't detect any toilet notes here - perhaps this is just a peculiarity of the EdT.

Unfortunately, it has become a little too much for me. From the initial enthusiasm, it has somehow become an everyday fragrance and it is too much for me. I prefer to keep it more discreet, which would probably speak in favor of the original if the DNA didn't bore me by now. And yet this is an unreserved recommendation for people who don't think the price/performance ratio of the Aventus is appropriate, but don't want to do without the DNA.
No dupe will come closer and you can't expect more performance.

Winter fairy tale
What a fragrance!

The first time I smelled it was when a nice perfumer sent me a bottle by chance. With all the oud samples I bought there, it immediately caught my nose.

Smelling the spray head, I first thought that oud can smell good after all - today I know that the oud is only in the name and not in the fragrance itself.
Somehow it reminded me of a beautiful, wintry sauna - as a passionate sauna-goer, it's certainly one of the most exciting fragrances I've ever smelled.

"Unfortunately" it has only been warm days since I received it, so this fragrance never really suited me.
You have to imagine that: I wait all year for the redeeming, warm sunny days to finally be able to wear the fresh, light summer fragrances I love so much and then they finally arrive, you absolutely want to try such a heavy spice bomb.

Anyway, it didn't take too long until the next drop in temperature and I was finally able to apply "Amber Oud Tobacco Edition | Al Haramain / الحرمين".

I was immediately captivated by the scent - first this cinnamon incense, which is complemented shortly afterwards with cloves and beautiful cocoa. The tonka bean gives it a certain sweetness, but it never takes over and complements the fragrance perfectly. Yes, it smells almost Christmassy and I don't understand where my association with a sauna comes from, but it still reminds me of the smell. This beautiful warmth, this feel-good character - it triggers relaxation in me in a way that I haven't had before.

It quickly became clear that it would become my signature fragrance this coming winter (and probably fall).

A real surprise from countless bottlings, which immediately catapulted itself onto my must-have list.

To briefly address the issue of duplicates: I don't know the Tom Ford and didn't know that it was supposed to be a dupe of it. But if I can be so cheeky and compare price/performance, then this one can only be the absolute winner.

The longevity is very good - I didn't stop it, but I still smelled it very strongly on my clothes the next day. The sillage also leaves nothing to be desired - you may need to be a little careful when spraying.

I can't rate the bottle yet, as I only have the bottling here at the moment, but I may do so later. Visually, it definitely looks amazing.

Finally a reason, apart from the Christmas season, to look forward to the cold days of the year.

The better imagination? Or simply Zara?
It's supposed to be an Imagination Dupe... a secret one... one that doesn't get too close to the DNA to be considered independent...

All bullshit - It may have been inspired by the fragrance direction, but this fragrance can easily be considered a standalone scent.
Perhaps it also boosts sales figures that this rumor is so persistent, but as someone who owns both fragrances, I can, no MUST say that the Zara is the more benevolent of the two. For me, it would rather be in direct competition with the "Allure Homme Sport (Eau de Toilette) | Chanel"

Perhaps my nose is also used to the bland mainstream, but for me, the scent of "Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes (Eau de Parfum) | Zara" is clearly superior to Imagination. I love its freshness, paired with the "sweetness" of mandarin, which also remains present for longer with the aquatic hint of ambergris.

It may be reminiscent of the alleged original at times, but this tart teen note, which is the centerpiece of Imagination, is almost completely absent here. There are two phases, shortly after spraying on, where you could sense a slight teenage note, but even this phase is always sweet, and towards the end, when the fragrance can only be perceived very close to the skin.

In between, this clean, citrusy, "sweet" freshness dominates, which is simply perfect for summer.

I can say that the longevity of 6-8 hours is not as bad as is always claimed here. Yes, you need a good number of sprays, but that's manageable for the price.
My record is around 20 sprays, which made it noticeable for a good 10 hours - but half of that was on my clothes.

This brings us to a point of criticism that makes it necessary to use so many sprays in order to be able to wear this wonderful fragrance: The spray head is terrible.

Firstly, it sprays very little (at least my bottle does), and secondly, it is quite tiring to squeeze over time.

I encountered this problem because I wanted to fill a pocket sprayer for when I was out and about - it felt like it took me forever to get the 10 ml bottle only half full. With other fragrances, this is easily twice as fast, which leads to the conclusion that the spray quantity / stroke is simply very small. If I had to guess, it would be around 0.05 / stroke, maybe even less.

So 5-6 sprays would be far too little for a light, fresh fragrance and would also speak for the durability problems of other users.

The bottle as a whole doesn't win any beauty contests either and doesn't sit well in the hand... but I don't care as long as this fragrance comes out of it.

I love it now and prefer wearing it much more than its alleged original.

Those moments when there's a breeze outside and after 1-2 hours a fine cloud of scent keeps coming into your nose are some of the most beautiful fragrance moments for me since I became interested in perfume. I never want to be without it again.

The legendary jeans in a bottle
Like many others here, I already had a bottle of this legend in my bathroom cabinet in my youth. I don't think it ever ran out, but I don't know what happened to it today. All I know is that I wore it almost every day and didn't give it a second thought back then.

Now I saw it very cheaply at a well-known online retailer and had to buy it. I admit: more, but not only, for nostalgic reasons. I wanted to know what it smells like again - I wanted to know how my nose has changed, whether it can now recognize matured notes that you didn't think about back then?

The answer is: No!

Because as soon as I wear it, my brain blocks out any attempts to perceive the individual components and simply enjoys this wonderfully floral composition. Yes, it is definitely fresh in the top note, but overall it has a broadly floral effect for me - and I love it. Later in the evening, a sweet and partly woody note spreads.

This fragrance lives with you throughout the day: it wakes you up refreshingly in the morning, sweetens your everyday life with flowers and gives you the necessary peace and relaxation in the evening with its base notes.

This fragrance is a legend, a small masterpiece considering the price. An absolute no-brainer if you like floral fragrances.

I don't agree with many of the reviews about the longevity and sillage: It lasts all day on me, even several days on my clothes, and I smell myself extremely strongly all day, which is really a rarity for me. Of course, the base notes are only noticeable close to the body, but you can't expect anything else.

I also don't quite understand why many people see it as a pure summer fragrance.
For me, it's perfect for spring and early summer, but also for early fall, where it takes away the depression of the shortening day with its presence.

In the height of summer, it would be far too much for me personally. Far too intense, far too, yes, synthetic.
This is perhaps a matter of taste, but I prefer something light and fresh in summer - I can't find these attributes here.

Conclusion:
This fragrance has become as much of a legend as the pants that give it its name. Everyone had it, no one talks about it. Why is that? I don't know... In any case, I'm delighted to have it with me again and wear it with pride, even when I'm over 30 - it's not supposed to work, but it works wonderfully for me.

Nevertheless, it lives an (undeserved) shadowy existence in the Versace portfolio. However, if they weren't so convinced of the fragrance, it would probably no longer be on the market - and I fully agree with them.

If this bottle ever runs out, it certainly won't have to leave me for 20 years this time.

Everyday fragrance that is not for everyday use
What is there to write in capital letters that is not already repeated in prayer?

A floral fragrance that is fresh, sophisticated and elegant at the same time. In principle, I would even be inclined to rate it as an everyday fragrance due to its unobtrusive sillage, but it is too expensive (for me) and its subliminal elegance, which the Bleu de Chanel perfume, for example, also has, makes it a shame.

Nevertheless, it doesn't matter whether you wear it in winter or summer - it always fits, people like to smell it and it doesn't offend.

A wonderful composition that can easily be chosen for sophisticated occasions.

The longevity is good to very good, I notice it on me for a very long time and even when you think you can no longer smell it, a pinch suddenly comes back into your nose.

A very pleasing fragrance with sophistication, even if the fragrance progression is linear.
