A Subdued Twin?
Well, it's not a bad scent in itself. However, those who know or own the original will quickly realize that Allure Homme Sport is a different "ball game." La Rive is moving quite in the direction of the aforementioned fragrance. Personally, I don't perceive the cedarwood in this one. It is a nicely citrus-fresh and fruity scent that is definitely suitable for everyday wear and one that you certainly don't have to be ashamed of.
However, the longevity leaves much to be desired, as is the case with many other La Rive products, but this doesn't detract from the overall experience given the price. The price-performance ratio is perfectly fine here. Well, regarding the bottle, I don't think I need to write much. On one hand, it immediately signals whose twin brother it is supposed to be, and on the other hand, it's not really creative.
I actually think it's best suited for sporting activities, given the price. However, I would advise against spraying it over the original, as the scents develop quite differently - at least for me. All in all: You can buy it if you like such fragrances.

Until the index finger gives out...
Once again, a fragrance from La Rive! So far, I have hardly been disappointed by this brand, which is mostly found on the shelves of drugstores. And here too, the price/performance ratio hits hard again.
My general opinion: Anyone who expects an original Chanel fragrance for just about €8/100ml really belongs in an "institution"!
But it goes without saying that I should mention I had muscle soreness in my left index finger... why?
Well... the usual 4-5 sprays I apply were hardly enough during the first wear to perceive this cheapie even in the medium term. Therefore, I decided on the second attempt to press the spray head until I felt a tingling numbness in my index finger. And lo and behold: There it is! I needed barely 20 sprays to create a truly lovely aura around me. In the festively decorated office, compliments started pouring in immediately! "What, at this price?" exclaimed a colleague while nibbling on a piece of Christmas stollen.
About the scent: The opening is, of course, citrusy fresh... almost as I know it from the "original." Sure, it smells a bit sharp and synthetic... but so do other - significantly more expensive - fragrances; therefore, this is not a disqualifying factor for me. After about an hour (yes... it was still there), I noticed a distinctly greener note. Slightly earthy... and I fancy I detected a hint of vetiver. Later, this impression rounded off positively with a pleasant glide into a sweet powderiness. It had now been about 6 hours since my fragrance shower, and I still felt clean and refreshed.
Conclusion: A solid cheapie freshie for people with strong finger muscles.

PERFECT FOR ITS 5€
Hello! I love perfumes, especially those that offer good value for money. Nowadays, high-quality niche perfumes cost a fortune, which is why I focused out of curiosity on the lowest price sector. One might think it's impossible to find something good at this price, but there are exceptions. For example, the brand Cuba has the legendary Cuba Gold, which was released even before JPG Le Male and is considered its inspiration, or Caline Powerful Black. These scents are really not bad, but if you spend just 10€ more, you get significantly better options from brands like Lattafa - ideal for everyday use.

But when we talk about a price of a maximum of 5€, La Rive Absolute Sport is the clear winner. I bought my bottle for 4.50€ at Rossmann - that’s 45€ per liter! That sounds almost like the price of water, but the quality surprised me. The scent is fresh and resembles its original (Chanel Allure Homme Sport) by 85-90%, which is impressive in this price range. Of course, it’s not as high-quality as the original, but it serves its purpose perfectly.

And that purpose is sports. For gym training, a run, or a volleyball game, Absolute Sport is ideal. It has a weak projection and barely noticeable sillage, so it doesn’t disturb anyone. The longevity is about 1.5-2.5 hours - exactly the duration of an average workout. After training, you can easily shower and apply another, more sophisticated perfume for the evening without having to worry about the sports scent "coming through".

Another advantage is the price. Even if the bottle gets stolen or broken in the locker room, it’s not a big loss - it costs less than a kebab! That’s exactly why Absolute Sport is unbeatable in its category. Even if there are competitors that may smell better, this fragrance convinces with the perfect ratio of price, quality, and practicality for sporting purposes.

If you are looking for an inexpensive, practical option for training, La Rive Absolute Sport is the best choice in its category. I hope my review has helped you in your decision. Happy shopping!

The Gym King
My name may be Dupeking, but La Rive is not exactly what I’m after. However, today let’s focus on the only La Rive I’ve actually taken with me, and why. I’m a fan of the original and also of Missoni Wave, which goes in a similar direction. And since I’m too “pussy” to treat my perfumes like they’re liquid gold, I could never just throw them in my backpack and head to the gym. That’s where these “cheap dupes” come in. Now, about the scent, which comes in a terrible bottle that makes you feel like you just picked it up at a Polish market. It starts off alcoholic like many “cheap dupes,” but quickly becomes citrusy and aquatic. One must give La Rive credit; they really nail the scents in the top notes. It smells super fresh with orange, mandarin, and a touch of blood orange and grapefruit. A battle of notes? Not at all. But the scent overall is great, there’s no other way to say it. Unfortunately, the surprisingly nice top note fades super quickly. However, the scent remains lovely: fruity, bitter, sour, fresh. Of course, it’s not designer quality, but it has a great DNA. But you can already tell that this isn’t the best quality. I can hardly think of a scent that moves so quickly from phase one straight to phase three. There was practically no middle phase, which is quite an achievement :D. Other dupe manufacturers definitely do this better. Nevertheless, the remaining scent is still pleasant and tasty. The criticized longevity is definitely a downside. So spraying it on in the morning and getting through the day isn’t going to happen. It’s not as ridiculously bad as some say, but it’s not great either. But for a fiver, you can easily take the Polish market bottle with you. It’s a great scent to take to the gym. Or to spray on before going shopping, or for quick errands. That’s its niche; it excels there. And that’s exactly why I got it. I also like to use it as a room spray. You can pack it, it’s not too precious, and it lasts a good two to three hours and delivers. And for the price, that’s top! I wouldn’t just wear it casually or recommend it like that; there are better alternatives for that. But for athletes, it’s a clear recommendation. And even though it’s a cheapie with its weaknesses, it earns an 8.5 here without any nonsense.
My number one for pumping!

super cheapie !!!
Absolute Sport is a very good alternative to Allure Homme Sport, it smells almost identical and for the price, it's simply top-notch.

The longevity is more subtle like the original, but it lasts 5-6 hours, so I don't understand the other reviews where some say it’s over after 30 minutes.
Anyone who criticizes the performance here would have to be sinking into the ground with Chanel if you consider the price difference.

All in all, a top fragrance at a small price.

Resembles Allure Homme Sport. Initially feels very cheap and synthetic (like many fresh Zara men's fragrances), but later gets much closer to the original.

Aquatic fresh citrus therapy that really outshines its big brother. Even though H/S is weaker, it's always the right choice.

The little brother of Chanel Allure Homme Sport. A bit rougher, but no less charming. Fresh and citrusy. I love them both!

Comes pretty close to the original. Maybe too weak as a daytime scent. But as a body spray after showering, it works well.

Really a great scent. It’s very close to the original and for the price of about 8 euros, I definitely recommend it for everyday use.
