Sometimes a linear scent progression is good, or even better! :(
Contrary to many opinions, I really like the opening! Even extraordinarily good!!!
Beautifully spicy saffron with juicy mandarin.
I can only partially understand associations with hospital or neoprene. That's just how saffron smells sometimes.
I like that :P

But then a lot of vanilla in the drydown. The saffron and mandarin fade. I think that's a real shame!
Reminds me a little of "Noir Extreme (Eau de Parfum) | Tom Ford" (which I already have)

Sometimes I find a linear fragrance progression even better.
I noticed that with "Harrods pour Homme | Roja Parfums". The start was so brutally good, the drydown was solid, but not as good as the beginning. The same goes for this one. If the top notes lasted longer, this would be a real buy for me. I would have to spray it every 30 minutes to get the scent I want :P

Nonetheless, a great sweet fragrance that never gets too sweet and is very pleasing
It doesn't stain and should really appeal to most people.

Fortunately, or 'unfortunately' too close to the original London?
Well, the Widian London is and remains my holy grail and the undisputed number 1.
For this reason, I was of course really looking forward to this release. Especially as the bottle is truly magnificent. 10/10!
And of course it is difficult or impossible to make THE perfect fragrance even better or to do it justice. But Jordi Fernandez can be trusted to do anything. Who knows, maybe he could have done it.
So I ordered a sample and sprayed it on. First impression: Hmm, kind of exactly the same. Maybe a tiny nuance here and there, greener, fresher, more peppery. But hardly noticeable. Too bad! I really would have liked this "flanker" to be a little different. The color would have been right. The green notes could have been stronger! I would have liked it so much. Even if, in case of doubt, it will of course come off worse (for me) than its predecessor. I would have forgiven him for that. As it is, apart from the beautiful bottle, it is unfortunately a somewhat unnecessary release for me. Unfortunately, too little was dared here. They simply didn't want to disappoint the fans. I can understand that and, as I said, it's almost impossible to make London better. But there really could have been a bit more experimentation here!
Still, of course, a 10/10 because it's too close to the original.

Thanks for reading, best regards and please write how you perceive it :)

Another masterpiece from master perfumer Jordi Fernandez
Jordi Fernandez has once again done a great job! Probably my absolute favorite perfumer. He has created many of my favorite fragrances. Among others "London | Widian / AJ Arabia" "New York | Widian / AJ Arabia", "Liwa (Extrait de Parfum) | Widian / AJ Arabia" and the breathtaking "Brompton Immortals (Extrait de Parfum) | Ex Nihilo"
Once again, this fragrance completely won me over. A great artist!

But now to the fragrance:
Starts off slightly animalic, but (fortunately) fades quickly. For about 2-3 minutes, the oud pops a little too much for my taste (perhaps too harmless for oud connoisseurs) but for me, Jordi is simply the master of oud blending. He always manages to blend the wood so beautifully that it never stands out too much. And above all, he always manages to ensure that all the notes harmonize perfectly with each other. The really short, animalic opening is followed by spicy, smoky green notes combined with slightly creamy, sweet amber. Anyone familiar with Liwa will know roughly where this fragrance is heading. However, for my taste, it is much more masculine and without white flowers, i.e. without floral notes. Instead, it is spicy-woody, herbal and green. A very harmonious oud creation and now finally in my collection.
Be sure to test this gem and let yourself be enchanted :)

The drydown "masterpiece"?
Finally, I was allowed to test this fragrance extensively. Already at the first smell at the atomizer I thought to myself "uhh that could be really exciting"
Surprised I was then unfortunately by the animalic oud note, which but thank God in the drydown (albeit late) again moves into the background. But let's go into a little detail:

At the beginning hits you a pappsüße fruit bomb in the face. But hello!
I think about: do I like that?
Is already a bit too much, but somehow also damn good. Hmmm
Raspberry syrup, fresh fruity shisha tobacco, Elvital Express spray cure (the pink stuff) Maybe a few Parfumas or Parfumos will know it here. This is exactly how the opening smells. Brutally sweet, fruity, nuclear, somehow awesome.
But then came the bitter disappointment. I was warned yes, I just did not want to believe it. I thought it was like Widian London, a nice sweet raspberry note on soft oud bedded.
Nothing there!
Right in the opening, as soon as the nose can handle a bit of the fruit punch, the nasty "stable" oud appears, dark and unpleasant over the sugary berry mixture.
I'm really sorry, but this just smells too stale for me.
I come from the village, I know exactly how that smells and exactly this note I really do not want to perceive in the perfume. But it is what it is. She comes through, without mercy.
But for now still no reason to immediately write off the fragrance. Perhaps it will still be softer. Also the penetrating fruit cocktail should be a little softer and more subtle in my opinion. We wait and see...
For now, however, this combination remains. Stable with sweet berries.
Nevertheless, I sniffed my wrist constantly.
Every minute, the back of my hand wandered to my olfactory bulb. Again and again. It is already an addictive juice, no question.
That the barn note comes through at all in this explosively powerful sweet raspberry, borders on a miracle anyway, but first the fragrance runs quite linear. About an hour later, you finally have the opportunity to perceive the rose and especially the incense. It gets better and above all more bearable.
And after a good 3 hours I must even say that I like the fragrance quite well. The drydown is really successful. But at what price?
Do I really want to wait 3 hours so that I like a fragrance?
I think not.
But by no means is it as bad as thought shortly after opening. It is just difficult to find an occasion for these fireworks. Closed rooms are probably the final enemy here. Just like more than 2-3 sprayers. Here you should really act sparingly.
You can actually say: less is more!

Just briefly to the durability: Breathtaking. 10/10. no question at all.
Would not even know how long the stuff keeps on clothes. On the skin anyway at least 12h+ resistant.

In conclusion, I can only say: test it, maybe you will love it, maybe you will hate it or just find it ok. But a test he is definitely worth.

Thanks for reading and have fun testing!

The egg-laying jack-in-the-box - citrusy, sour, bitter, sweet, spicy, fresh and tangy
My very first non-designer and thus entry into the niche world

And this fragrance was for me immediately a bull's eye!
Maybe it was of course because I have not heard any more complex fragrances off the whole designer to date. Maybe he is not so good. Many of my friends find the too acidic / sharp and could not understand the magic and elegance that I saw in this fragrance.
Not only was it my very first niche perfume, but it was also a fragrance that ignited my passion and took me on a captivating olfactory journey.
When I first felt Burlington 1819 on my skin, it was like a magical moment. The tangy citrus notes greeted me with an explosive freshness that lifted my spirits and instantly enchanted me.
A short time later, other notes joined in. Spicy ginger, cumin that smells sweet and earthy rather than musty, an acidic tart grapefruit and a cooling mint.
This perfume is about how you imagine the perfect dish.
Everyone knows them:
The 5 flavors (sweet, sour, salty, bitter and umami)
You try with lemons or limes to give the food the necessary acidity.
The bay leaf provides the spicy-bitter, a pinch of sugar brings sweetness into play, salt & pepper + the "meaty" umami give dishes an extra dimension and depth.
Now, of course, you can discuss whether you will hear the pinch of sugar in the food. But you just try to meet all 5 flavors. Only then you have the perfect dish.
And so it is with this perfume. It goes in all directions and creates a perfect symbiosis of all areas. Since Monsieur Dove has really created a masterpiece in my opinion.

Let's talk briefly about durability and projection:
Unfortunately, I perceive the fragrance on me after about 2-3h significantly less. What does not mean, however, that the fragrance does not still properly radiates. Be careful when re-spraying. I have then always neatly nachgelegt and thus probably penetrated my complete environment.
But I realized that only late. A work colleague I filled something from my bottle and only then I noticed how long this fragrance actually projects. He distributed the fragrance with only 3 modest spritzes throughout the office. All day. So re-spraying is not necessary. I know that by now 

Flacon:
- Love it or hate it -
I like the ostentatious, almost kitschy Roja flacons with the shiny Swarovski lids. Is just a matter of taste. The label is often glued on slightly crooked, which in my opinion should not happen in this price segment. With my flacon it is only quite marginal, nevertheless, the QS in the house Roja should give there a little more attention.

Conclusion:
Test this masterpiece, fall in love and let yourself be enchanted!
