My birth perfume
That's a hell of a hook, isn't it? In fact, I wore "Lolita Lempicka" the day before my daughter was born. Thursday afternoon still drinking coffee, in the evening at shortly after 19 o'clock amniotic sac burst, the next morning already mummy. 4 weeks early, that's how fast it can go ^^ for that reason alone I can never part with this fragrance.

Who now wants a detailed Ausandernahme of the individual fragrance components, I must unfortunately disappoint. Some perfumes I can feel rather than describe, and this one is definitely one of them. There is no great scent progression on my skin, and if I had to describe it in one word, it would be "enchanted forest". I could imagine it smelling like this in a forest inhabited by fairies, gnomes, gnomes, unicorns and other mythical creatures. Mystical, spicy, cool, sweet. I detect mostly a shiny black and red amarena cherry, spicy anise, ivy and - watch out - salt. Salty vanilla, a very slight resemblance to the original Olympea as far as saltiness is concerned. Praline, musk and tonka bean I don't smell, or else they blend incredibly well with the vanilla, because that's what I smell. This is an exceptional composition that lasts from early to late, and the sillage is also amazing for such a little apple. The scent exudes innocence for me, but at the same time, it's fierce. It also exudes a certain coolness, like Naomi Campbell's "Cat deluxe". Fascinating, not a crowdpleaser or ever-walker. And for me, forever a reminder that unexpected often comes often.

Fun fact: shortly after being admitted to the hospital, I texted a friend late at night that I didn't think I was ready to be a mommy :-D I distinctly remember sniffling to myself for a second and thinking, "Alright Lolita, we rock it!" And we rocked it. We still do

Amortentia and Felix Felicisin a
I bought Cinema as a bottling from a dear perfumer (thanks again!), after I had seen it at Lenis Scents. Since I smell vanilla, almond and citrus extraordinarily gladly, I wanted to test "Cinema" absolutely. I had to pull myself together to not order it blindly. Due to the price, however, reason prevailed and I dutifully tested him first extensively by filling. The tube was quickly empty and I started to wonder: should I order the fragrance "in bulk"? Actually, I am grad quite rigorously to sort out, think thoroughly whether and who may move in new (fragrance-wise) and am generally sorting and rearranging. I don't want to buy blindly anymore, just because the fragrance pyramid is so great, only to have fragrances at home that I wear once, don't convince me and then I reach for the few all time favourites again. Collecting well and good, but at some point every perfume tilts, and then it's a shame.
With "Cinema" my heart had already decided, and the mind I still gave a few weeks to think.
Ultimately, my brain gave the heart right, and so "Cinema" soon expanded my collection.

I've already outed myself as a Harry Potter fan here, and fortunately there are more of them in the community :-D they know there's a love potion that smells different to everyone, depending on what he/she is attracted to. And there's "Felix Felicis", the golden potion that makes you feel lucky for a certain amount of time and makes all your plans succeed. "Cinema" is somehow both for me, although I like to smell 100 things, and you can not capture, for example, scents of loved ones.
If I spray it on, the scent makes me happy and I have the feeling that it will be a good day. At the same time, I'm so in love with the aromas that float around my nose that I can't help but smile. And the golden color does the rest.

"Cinema" doesn't do much of a makeover for me. I once read that YSL belongs to the fragrances that are immediately present after spraying on. I can agree with that.
The fragrance starts creamy-citrusy and becomes powdery at the end. I smell the sweet almond, the tangy clementine, which accompany me happily until the end. Amaryllis and jasmine make an interesting combination that is never too loud or overbearing. "Cinema" finishes warm and soft with vanilla and musk. The longevity is very good, I can still smell it quite well into the evening. Sillage is medium to good, but then I don't spray much. 2 sprays on the back of the neck, so as not to irritate baby's delicate little nose. With 4 sprays one creates with certainty quite a large fragrance trail.
I find that you notice his price, he smells quite luxurious, but still likeable.
Also, it's a crowdpleaser without being boring or mainstream. It has class, style and elegance.

"Cinema" is not made for very young wearers in my opinion. You have to be ready for this yet rather unknown fragrance from the house of YSL. So from 25 (oh dear, am I old at 30?) He also comes across credible. I think it goes wonderfully with festive occasions, but it's also great for work, strolling around town or meeting friends. Only as a Sunday cuddle fragrance I can imagine it less, for that it's really too opulent and somehow also too bad. Besides, there are beautiful gourmands to snuggle up with. "Cinema" wants to be worn, to be seen. And when we are all allowed out again, he will certainly be allowed to accompany me to the cinema ;-)

Poetry and angel wings
Yesterday, the dear GirlofNow asked me that I had worn the Kilian "Love don't be shy" the other day. She read it on my profile and since she only knows the scent from descriptions, she asked me to write a comment about it, since she is also a big gourmand lover. I am very honored and hope that anyone reading this has a rough idea of it and can "feel" it a bit. However, with this perfume, I found it unusually difficult to describe it in the right words because it is simply beautiful and magical.

How did I even come to the fragrance?
A very nice perfumer has given me a sample of "Love don't be shy" to my ordered from her bunker bottle of my signature fragrance "La nuit Tresor a la folie" in addition. Thank you so much again :-)
I had never heard of the Kilian brand before. Shame on me, at first I thought it was some cheap perfume! :-D I didn't realize that I was holding the most expensive fragrance that ever crossed my path. So I blithely sprayed 2 spritzes into the air to test it. That must have been 5 euros dancing through the air! My first impression was "Lancome by Poeme in sweet!" I don't know how I got that association either, they are such different perfumes. But something in Kilian's DNA makes me think of "Poeme." This has been my mother's signature scent for as long as I can remember.
"Love don't be shy" doesn't go through much of a change on me, which I really like. It smells exquisite, expensive and a bit like luxury, but not arrogant, it's way too sweet for that.
Most I smell actually orange, marshmallow, vanilla and a hint of caramel, with the ingredients from an expensive manufacture and not from the discount store. Would be otherwise also bad, at THE price ^^
Slightly citrusy, beautifully gourmand, and every now and then a friendly rose winked at me. With me, it remains close to the body and has a medium durability.

Those were the hard facts, now comes my own personal, almost intimate association with the perfume:
I feel gently safe, wrapped in vanilla, powdery-sweet and orange sweetness, as if an angel embraces me. His large, soft wings tickle me lightly on the cheek, I press my face to his chest and he strokes my hair gently and tenderly. All around me it suddenly becomes bright, golden sunlight with pink iridescent speckles envelops me, around us an indescribably lovely, sweet scent. Suddenly I feel very light, a beautiful song resounds in my head, and my worries are suddenly very small. The angel gives me another short hug, smiles at me and then flies off again towards heaven. His scent, however, continues to float around me softly and delicately like a feather.

As I write this comment, the scales fall from my eyes as to why it reminds me of "Poeme": a mama is, after all, an angel in a way. She knows us even before we ourselves really know that we exist. She protects us, protects us, catches us and loves us idolatrously (at least that's how it should be, and I wish everyone to have such a mum). Mine, at least, often smelled like poeme and vanilla sugar because we did a lot of baking together. She was my home, my friend, and best comforter of all. For many reasons, our bond, once thick and unshakable, has become loose and decrepit. This is bad, and I will call her later. For angels without wings are called mama.

You can not like everything, but test
Maybe I'm a philistine now, but "Cafe Tuberosa" is absolutely not for me. Zero. Maybe my skin chemistry is to blame, or because he comes across quite harsh, scratchy and masculine. In any case, he does not fit at all to me unt develops very unattractive.
But from the beginning:
Through a nice addition to the fragrance package for my fetching husband (thanks again to BlackbirdHH :-D) I have become aware of this perfume. I knew Atelier Cologne fleetingly, but never had ambitions to test perfumes of it.
The fragrance pyramid read very promising, but with unisex fragrances I am somehow always a bit negatively biased. Either masculine or feminine is my motto, although I've already become more courageous.

Bravely it was sprayed in the neck and on the wrist. Whoa, cigar! was my first sensation. Where was the espresso? I smelled a strong tobacco note, something citrusy and dry spice of the very strong variety. Is it too strong, am I too weak? I don't think so. I so wanted to find myself in a fine coffee house, instead it had catapulted me into a cold, stuffy train compartment full of older, cigar smoking gentlemen. Madness, that was fast. After a few minutes I finally smelled strong espresso, but unfortunately that couldn't save the perfume either. Flugs hands and neck scrubbed, and thank God only a small breath remained, which I have covered with "Cuir de nuit" by Yves Rocher, which is also not for everyone / wearable, but for me a wonderful comfort scent.

However, I am of the opinion that every perfume that you can test, makes you richer by an experience, and so I was still happy that I was allowed to test it :-)
Nonetheless, I find it well crafted, I can grant "Cafe Tuberosa" that.
An exciting experiment, which has brought me despite not liked olfactory further.

-- PS: Elena's dad steadfastly refuses to test it. Since I'm probably braver :-D

"I was born too late, into a world that doesn't care" or: off to the 50s!
Do you remember this song? "Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair" Sometimes I feel a bit out of place in our fast-paced, consumerist and superficial society and would rather live in the 50s or 60s. When things were high quality and built to last a lifetime, and you tried to fix them first before throwing them away. When people still went dancing in clean suits and didn't squiggle around the dance floor in sweatpants or jeans ripped beyond recognition to terribly nondescript music like they were in an epileptic fit. When you still had style.

Yes, "Original" also seems to me to have been born into the wrong world, or at least the wrong olfactory world. It is exceptionally well made and could cost many times more. Of course, you have to make a few sacrifices for the price, but it really doesn't matter because the scent is just so mega smooth. Funny word, but I try "original" as best I can for you aufudröseln.

I've been asked about "Original" quite a few times, and only in a positive way. He was for a while something like my signature fragrance and even now he is still worn by me, but he really comes best in the autumn to the advantage. He harmonizes exquisitely with the golden autumn sun, the fresh smell of colorful leaves and clear, pleasantly warm air.

I can fully agree with Peanuts' comment and have to use some attributes already chosen by her to describe this perfume, as they also haunt my mind when I spray on "Original". There's just something cool about it, a golden brown sparkling melt (but not bronze) and it's insanely unusual for a "drugstore" scent. Delightfully angular in the otherwise often so colorful-fruity unity platter, although I have absolutely nothing against mainstream.
With me, the top note is somehow skipped or goes smoothly into the heart note. Fruity I can almost not smell out. He starts at most briefly crispy fresh with bergamot, before I can already smell something like sun-warm, soft skin. Accompanied by something lightly smoky and cognac suede, a light scent of high-end spirits and amber. Vanilla smooths out the somewhat angular scent a bit and rose makes it feminine. Which I would be very interested to see how it would smell on a gentleman. I'll ask Elena's dad if he'll try it. H+S are good, I can still detect it well until late afternoon, on clothes for days.

I've owned it for about 7 or 8 years, and I actually can't remember how it came to me, or through what. However, he has left so much impression that the first 50ml bottle was emptied in no time and had to be repurchased urgently.
If I had to describe "original" with one word, it would be "vintage". Or "old-timer", and that is by no means meant negatively.
I see a handsome gentleman sitting in the driver's seat of an Opel Rekord, one arm casually on the steering wheel, the other resting on the rolled-down window. His dark hair brilliantly coiffed with pomade, but not "slapped down". Probably fresh from the barber's. He wears the Sunday clothes typical for this time and seems to be waiting for someone. The seats are made of shiny soft suede, exhaling their typical smell. The dashboard has some real wood detailing (no idea if that was ever the case by model, in my mind it looks exactly the same) which also exudes its wonderful resinous smell. However, it is not a pure non-smoking car, as the gentleman indulges in a nice after-work cigar from time to time.
The car smells of luxury, but not decadent luxury. The gentleman is from a good family, but has earned everything himself and continues to run his father's company with ambition and a good hand.
Yeah, "Original" seems to me like it's straight out of the 50s or 60s. More like the 50s.
The car is parked in front of some kind of diner, and it's a balmy summer evening. Finally his beloved comes around the corner, of course in a petticoat dress and the typical rockabilly hairstyle.
He takes a quick sip from the hip flask, which must contain cognac, and then gets out with a dazzling toothpaste smile to receive her.
Oh, he left his suede jacket. Well never mind, if the two of them are shaking a leg now, he certainly won't need it.

-- PS: forgive me if I have confused some (un)typical things for this time, but that's exactly how I associate the perfume --
