... i hereby declare you my new signature fragrance!
It was almost exactly 3 years ago that "La Nuit Trésor à la Folie | Lancôme" was my signature fragrance for a long time. I loved it endlessly... until it was reformulated :-( no berries, no tonka, no more nutmeg and ambroxan, and I was really very sad about this negative change. I still have the old version as a bunker bottle, but somehow I'm so disappointed about the negative development that I haven't been able to wear it for months. Hopefully love will return at some point!

i haven't had "LolitaLand | Lolita Lempicka" in my collection for quite as long as "La Nuit Trésor à la Folie | Lancôme", but I've always liked it. It has so many notes that I really like, especially vanilla of course ;-)
For me, the fragrance is more than just sweet peach and vanilla buttercream cake, even though it definitely smells like it. On my skin, it's totally juicy, full-bodied, sweet, but not squeaky or synthetic. It's a little bit buzzy, which I really like in moderation, and the peach is ripe and juicy. The vanilla is rich and dark, the musk makes it fluffy, the Bellini tingles right to the end, and the pepper gives everything an exciting twist. The jasmine doesn't stay in the background, but it doesn't push itself to the front either, which I very much welcome. It simply creates a dense but not pompous overall impression.
On me, the fragrance lasts until the next shower and radiates amazingly well and for a long time.
It puts me in a good mood, stays with me when I'm annoyed, emphasizes my good mood and makes me smile when I smell it. Even at temperatures of up to around 25 degrees, it doesn't get too oppressive.

I have a whole range of fragrances that are much more exciting, thrilling and interesting. LolitaLand, on the other hand, remains quite linear. But there is something about the fragrance that makes me reach for it very often and I have never regretted spraying it on. The bottle is not really my cup of tea, but somehow it also makes the fragrance fly a little under the radar.
I have both versions, the one with the gold sprayer and the one with the silver sprayer, which is currently available. In my opinion, there is no difference between them, but my "old" bottles have darkened enormously, and the new one is also getting darker, which I really like ;-)

If you can't identify with LolitaLand (the name is also kind of meh ^^), please contact me, I'll gladly adopt her, because I always feel somehow... happier...

Under the radar
I have to speak up for this fragrance now. Yes, he is a designer (is also nothing bad), yes he is the Xte flanker of Poison (he is apparently not as cannibalized as LVEB) and many will not have him on the screen, because, yes, because just. For reasons. But also unfairly.

Poison girl unexpected is indeed unexpectedly beautiful.
Especially the top note is really imaginative and actually comes a little maritime. The fragrance starts fruity and tangy, very slightly spicy by the ginger, already sweet, and also a little sticky. But that's what makes the perfume, especially since the top note extends to the base and keeps flashing, it justifies having the regular Poison girl in the collection as well. The latter is more of a candidate for cold days, unexpected can also be worn wonderfully in warmer temperatures. I do smell the rose, but it's doused in copious amounts of ginger and bitter orange sauce. Smells more delicious than it sounds ;-)
The base note is similarly creamy and beautifully gourmand like its big sister, but as mentioned, a bit lighter, fruitier and fluffier due to the accompanying top notes.

Right now it's one of my absolute favorites, I wear it almost daily, and I actually love the variety. I'm downright addicted to this great top note. The progression is from fruity to floral to gourmand, you have to recreate that. And then also in an almost sexy way. The perfume lasts with me all day, with 3, 4 sprays caresses me this wonderful good mood fragrance, and brings me to smile. I feel classy and also pretty when I wear it, it cheers me up, it is not too girly, it just fits me.
The iridescent pink bottle is also well chosen, even if a tiny bit trashy ^^ but the fragrance itself also iridesces in all different facets, so it goes together really well.

Please give it a chance, you're really missing out on a beautiful, well-made fragrance with a great development otherwise. Or not, then I can continue to smell relatively unique, and no one takes away my unexpected!

(K) a Chanel for beginners
If someone like me, who is a self-confessed Gourmand lover, a fragrance that could not be more dissimilar to a Gourmand, so like, then that must mean something. Stil(l) and secretly he has crept into my heart and into my collection, this beautiful, cool, graceful and strong Boss-Lady fragrance.

Coco Noir I got as a bottling a few months ago in the course of a swap. I expected me not much, because I did not know the fragrance and with Chanel eh never warmed up, except with "Chance eau tendre edt". In the meantime, actually came "Allure edp" and the Crowdpleaser par excellence "Coco Mademoiselle" in addition, but of this another time more.
Coco noir so. On parfumo the fragrance notes and statements skimmed. Does not sound like something that corresponds to my Beuteschema, even if I quite Freshies, Fruities, ledriges and creamy-spicy like. However, the vanilla and tonka bean in the fragrance made me curious, as they are among my favorite scents. How well would I smell them out? The bottle also appealed to me immediately as a small packaging victim.

Sprayed on, waited. Puuuhhh, immediately struck me cool, earthy patchouli, mixed with citrus and roses. Not really a nice combo for me, the incense came quickly to it and did not make the first impression better. It smelled - except for the missing aldehydes - very clearly "Coco chanellig". Elegant, classy, classic, chic and timeless, with a certain coolness and superiority, and a slightly pungent accessory. I'd like to reiterate that I don't just have a nose glued to vanilla, I'll give almost any genre a chance, and have been pleasantly surprised many a time. I knew this scent was beautifully composed and the notes fluidly interwoven, but somehow it didn't suit me. Too cool, too adult (or even mature).
Some time later, I kept noticing a feathery, luxurious, cool yet warm scent. Since I had only tested Coco noir that morning and so it could only be this one, I was all the more surprised at how subtle it had become. The patchouli drags almost to the base, but becomes lighter and more pleasant. The rose moves to the background, but still resonates perceptibly, as do the citrus notes. The incense has become a supporting actor.
Directly vanilla I can not name in the drydown, but a pleasant floral creaminess with a touch of spice, really hard to describe.
The bottle is jet black, but the fragrance is not. He is not unfriendly, but still rather distant. With the woman who wears it, there are no third chances, maximum 2, then you blew it and she ignores you completely. She doesn't waste her time with people who aren't worth discussing with.

For me, this perfume exudes all the above attributes, but also a certain strength and reliability. To this fragrance I reach purposefully, it is not long considered. Either it is a Noir Tag or not, there are no compromises, the fragrance does not make either. I wear it when the sun is shining, but also when it is cold and cloudy. In terms of sillage and durability I am very satisfied, 3 sprays accompany me through the day, he does not let me hang and I feel strong and a bit unapproachable.

Coco noir is not a "Mmmhhh, you smell good!" in terms of floral powdery sweet friendliness. It's a strong statement, more of a "Wow, what are you wearing that's great?"
And, what really amazes me: my husband also finds him good, although the fragrance is rather atypical for me. No, not every man is exclusively on vanilla scents. Sometimes it just has to be a boss-lady fragrance. After all, we women are a strong gender.

Perfect autumn companion, attention spicy!
Rarely have I tested a fragrance so perfectly suited to a season. From the first spray, I was reminded of the countless autumn walks I took last year. I walked for hours with my husband through our nearby woods, the smell of coniferous and deciduous trees mingling with damp earth, the first wood stoves being fired up and their smoke permeating the air. The sky was steel grey, but not unkind. Nature and animals were slowly preparing for winter, but there were still many golden hours of sunshine.
The thick scarves still scratched a bit, the feet had to get used to the solid, somewhat clunky hiking boots again, and in the bag I always had a bar of dark chocolate, as a snack (my husband smiles every time about it, but I think chocolate tastes outside again quite different than indoors, and I am now a pleasure person).
Afterwards, we treated ourselves to coffee and children's punch in our favorite restaurant, high up in the forest, next to a small church. The tiled stove crackled next to us, and it was just quaint and cozy. Hach, there I look forward to it again! Good that baby girl also likes to be outside :-)

"Vanilla Diorama" is of course not an earthy forest scent, it already hits in the sweet direction, but you definitely have to like spicier perfumes.
The description "sweet-gourmandig" I can not share, I feel it even a bit misleading, because you could expect a completely different fragrance based on the fragrance notes. I definitely felt that way. The cardamom is very noticeable, and gives the scent its autumnal spice. I am slightly reminded of spice cake (my specialty during the cold season), the cocoa in the scent makes this impression perfect. Patchouli gives it depth, but really doesn't make it too tart and dark.

Yes, there is similarity to "Feve delicieuse", however, I would call the two already as independent fragrances. In "Vanilla Diorama" you can smell the citrus notes out well, these make the fragrance lighter than its distant relative. I don't smell rum directly, I think it is very finely interwoven with the spices and chocolate. The perfume is mMn suitable and pleasing even for spice novices, as the vanilla makes it soft and approachable. "Feve delicieuse" is already different, stronger. The sillage is a little more than close to the body, which I find absolutely good for this fragrance. For that, it still lasts a good 8 hours. It is friendly and bright, but in its way adult and relatively elegant, yet resonates a certain melancholy, which brings autumn with it. He fits to cuddle on the couch, to the extended hike and to go for a nice coffee equally.

I think when I start decorating for autumn in late September, early October, I'll try to recreate the scent on a plate with all sorts of components. A few vanilla sticks, dried orange slices, some cocoa beans (the chocolate ones), cardamom, star anise if necessary, peppercorns, some dried leaves and woods, see what comes out.

A test, the fragrance is definitely worth it, even if it has similarities to some well-known fragrances (the previous speaker has already explained this excellently). I look forward to the autumn, which will hopefully be a golden!
With "Vanilla Diorama" I have already found my perfect companion, whether it's rainy-cool-foggy, or sunny-warm-clear-golden. Merci Monsieur Demachy!

"Goodbye my lover, goodbye my friend..."
Silently he sat there, in his small apartment, which was now a single apartment again. There was nothing there to remind him that until three weeks ago, two people madly in love had made plans for their future together. Nothing except...
He had his cold hands buried in her beautiful suede jacket on his lap again. Ever since their breakup, he'd been dragging it around with him constantly.
He remembered all the times she had worn it, on so many occasions she had it on. On their first date, when they'd gone for a walk in the woods. On quite a few visits to amusement parks, when they'd screeched with laughter and ridden all the cheesy attractions, but he'd never been able to get anything out of them. He made her feel it, too. How terribly mean he was to her sometimes! And she just forgave him, even cut him some slack!

His fingers played with the golden zipper, he undid it and closed it again, thinking of how often she had opened it with her delicate hands, sometimes lasciviously, because they both knew what was about to follow. Sometimes with a jerk because she was pissed and wanted to get to bed quickly. But mostly he opened it for her, simply because he liked that soft, light suede so incredibly on her, and liked touching it very much.
It fit her like a glove, hugging her slender figure, accentuating her fair complexion, and when her blonde hair was down, it almost melted into the fine leather.

He lifted the jacket to his nose and inhaled quite deeply the scent so intangibly familiar to him. The cloth interior smelled a tiny bit synthetic, but this was masked by a wonderful sweetness.
She wore almost exclusively vanilla perfumes, and because the jacket had to be washed at the dry cleaners, which was very expensive and therefore only done twice in all the years of their relationship, the most diverse vanilla notes now mixed with this fine soft leather. As if intoxicated, he inhaled this beautiful smell that he would recognize anywhere in the world.

Lost in thought, he plucked a few small straws from the inside pocket where his hands had wandered. Horses, yes, that was her great passion. Even in the stable she wore her beloved buckskin jacket. But, what was it? A small, withered, pale purple flower fell into his hands. He lifted it closer to his eyes and carefully turned it back and forth in his fingers. After all these years, she had still had it in her jacket pocket and never lost it? The flower he'd brought her on their first date, he kept forgetting its name, but of course she knew it. "Heliotrope!" he heard her flute, "Heliotrope, you can make yourself a mnemonic with 'purple' and you won't forget it!" He had forgotten him, over and over again. Because he didn't care enough about such things, just as he ended up not caring enough about her.

An ache drove through his heart, razor sharp and hot, as it had so many times on the past few days. What a fool he was, what a giant idiot! The longing for her shook him, gave him sleepless nights, and made him cry every night like a kicked animal.

The scent of the jacket would soon diminish, he knew. Forever he would not be able to preserve it, and that made the physical and mental pain 1000 times worse. He knew she didn't want the jacket back. And he also knew that he deserved this agony he would suffer the day the scent was gone for good. But it still clung so well to the soft leather that it almost seemed like she was in the room with him. The whole apartment smelled of it, ravishing and tormenting him at the same time. He deserved this emotional chaos, yes. She was gone, for good, he'd pushed her away, and now she wasn't responding to his messages. With tears in his eyes and his jacket in his arms, he curled up on the couch. Never again would he find such a great woman, he knew that. But that realization came too late.

"... you have been the one, you have been the one for me.
I'm so hollow baby
I'm so hollow
I'm so, I'm so
I'm so hollow"

Music Lyrics: "Goodbye my lover" by James Blunt
