Business Idea with Nuts
One takes a crazy, quirky look and chooses a massively progressive name. Then one pours a stingy amount of “Original Woman” by S. Oliver into the quirky bottles with the massively progressive name. One places their cuckoo child in a strategically favorable corner of the perfume shop. Then one waits and grins.

Seriously: “Original Woman” by S. Oliver is simply born into the wrong family. It is valuable, it is smooth, it is radiant. It has a melt that makes one want to melt along.

In the top note, there is a blend of sesame, delicate nut, unsweetened peach, and something grassy. The radiance of this blend is simply seductive. In the heart note, the fruit diminishes and makes way for buttery soft, cognac-colored suede, even more nuts, and a first hint of the brightest cedarwood. In the base, there follows a slightly nutty, sun-warmed skin accord. The twist: Across the notes, there is indeed something like warm sand.

I am aware that I am not the most capricious nose in the universe. I know I am easily ignited. I will try anyway, if necessary by begging: Try it, taste it, don’t just walk by. Pleeaase! Underdogs and underprivileged need friends too!

And believe me: Nuts are delicious. Especially when coated in sand and wrapped in cognac-colored suede scraps.

In Love
First of all, I should mention that I buy fragrances based on my nose and I don't make a distinction about where I purchase them. Whether it's a perfume store, a drugstore chain, or online, my nose makes the selection, not necessarily my wallet.
But now to the fragrance. In September 2011, I fell in love with this wonderful scent while on vacation on the west coast of Schleswig-Holstein. I saw an advertisement for it while passing by in a drugstore chain and decided to try it out. The first impression was fantastic, and it remained so after a short time. The next day, I bought it. I generally don't like warm fragrances that much, but this warmth is elegant, sporty, and not very intrusive. The scent doesn't overwhelm you. It starts off fresh and fruity, then becomes warmer, before the base note comes through with a sandy, earthy quality that lingers for quite a while. My favorite fragrance for the cold season.

Colorful are the forests already ...
... yellow the stubble fields - and autumn begins...

I loved to sing this beautiful, slightly melancholic song with my mother.

Yet autumn also has its beautiful sides - for it bathes everything in a mild golden light.

And it sounds cozy when the leaves rustle underfoot while walking.

Women fits very well into this atmosphere.

The fruity notes are aromatic, but not overly sweet, and the lily quietly blends in.
Gentle rose joins in, surrounded by soft vanilla.
A light breeze of cedar wafts above - without heaviness.

Women reflects a mild autumn day, where the sun still warms.

This time could happily last until spring - skipping the icy winter.

But the golden autumn with its colorful forests is well captured in the nostalgically charming bottle.

The Delicate Powder of Sand Dunes!
This "cheapie," which I had almost forgotten about, just came to my attention while searching for another fragrance. And of course, I had to spray it on. First, to test whether it hasn't "turned," and second, if 1. doesn't apply, how it actually smells! Now I spontaneously conclude: REALLY GOOD!
How good it is only reveals itself after a while of its development. Because it starts off very "fruity" and unremarkable. Apple, peach, and mandarin in delicate "minor"...
After a quarter of an hour, a lovely rose slowly blooms. And a good portion of a very "sandy" and powdery (herb!) floral scent reminiscent of straw flowers or something similar. An equally "sandy" woody note joins in. Cedar! A hint of vanilla adds a subtly sweet depth, and well-aged patchouli, just a trace, makes the scent pleasantly "dark."
I immediately think of sand dunes, like those found on the North and Baltic Seas. Finely grained mixes with something "coarser" and "powder-fine." One digs their toes in with delight, and the velvety-sandy sandpaper feeling brings a smile to the face!
The whole thing lasts longer than expected. Even after several hours, I can distinctly "feel" it olfactorily, at half an arm's length from the source of the scent!
Conclusion: This "cheapie" is quite a "fine" one! ;-))

"I was born too late, into a world that doesn't care" or: back to the 50s!
Do you still remember this song? "Oh I wish I was a Punkrocker with flowers in my hair" Sometimes I feel a bit out of place in our fast-paced, consumer-oriented, and superficial society and would rather live in the 50s or 60s. When things were still made with quality and built to last a lifetime, and you would try to repair them before throwing them away. When people went dancing in clean suits instead of shuffling across the dance floor in sweatpants or torn jeans to terribly indistinct music like in an epileptic fit. When people still had style.

Yes, "Original" also seems to me to have been born into the wrong world, or at least the wrong fragrance world. It is extraordinarily well made and could easily cost much more. Of course, with that price, you have to make some compromises, but that really doesn't matter because the scent is just so mega smooth. Strange word, but I will try to break down "Original" for you as best as I can.

I have been approached about "Original" several times, and only positively. For a while, it was something like my signature scent, and even now I still enjoy wearing it, although it really shines best in autumn. It harmonizes excellently with the golden autumn sun, the fresh smell of colorful leaves, and clear, pleasantly warm air.

I can fully agree with Peanut's comment and have to use some of the attributes she already chose to describe this perfume, as they also swirl around in my head when I spray "Original." It simply has something cool about it, a golden-brown sparkling melt (but not bronze-colored) and is incredibly unusual for a "drugstore scent." Delightfully angular in the otherwise often so colorful-fruity uniform slush, although I have nothing against mainstream.
For me, the top note somehow gets skipped or flows seamlessly into the heart note. I can hardly detect any fruitiness. It starts at most briefly crisp fresh with bergamot, before I can already smell something like sun-warmed, soft skin. Accompanied by a slightly bright smoky and cognac-colored suede, a light scent of high-quality spirits and amber. Vanilla smooths out the somewhat angular scent a bit, and rose makes it feminine. I would be very interested to see how it smells on a gentleman. I’ll ask Elena's dad if he could test it.
H+S are good, I can still perceive it well into the late afternoon, on clothing for days.

I have owned it for about 7 or 8 years, and I honestly can't remember how it came to me, or what brought it to me. However, it has made such an impression that the first 50ml bottle was emptied in no time and had to be urgently repurchased.
If I had to describe "Original" in one word, it would be "vintage." Or "classic car," and that is by no means meant negatively.
I see an attractive gentleman sitting in the driver's seat of an Opel Rekord, one arm casually on the steering wheel, the other resting on the rolled-down window. His dark hair is styled with pomade, shining but not "slapped on." He probably just came fresh from the barber. He is wearing the typical Sunday clothes of that time and seems to be waiting for someone. The seats are made of shiny soft suede, exuding their typical scent. The dashboard is adorned with a few real wood details (I have no idea if that was the case depending on the model, but in my imagination, it looks exactly like this), which also emit their wonderful resinous smell. However, it is not a purely non-smoking vehicle, as the gentleman occasionally indulges in a nice evening cigar.
In the car, it smells of luxury, but not of decadent luxury. The gentleman comes from a good family but has worked hard for everything and runs his father's company with ambition and a good hand.
Yes, "Original" feels to me as if it has just sprung from the 50s or 60s. More from the 50s.
The car is parked in front of a kind of diner, and it is a balmy summer evening. Finally, his beloved comes around the corner, of course in a petticoat dress and the typical rockabilly hairstyle.
He takes a quick sip from the flask, which probably contains cognac, and then gets out with a stunning toothpaste smile to greet her.
Oh, he left his suede jacket behind. Well, it doesn't matter; if the two of them are going to dance now, he probably doesn't need it.

-- PS: forgive me if I mixed up some (un-)typical things for this time, but that's exactly how I associate the perfume --

Delicious fruits and nuts, lightly drugstore-scented, come to you on a wooden platter. Lay them in the warm sand. They taste good.

Cheap tip: Top note is synthetic, but then: wonderfully creamy-flirty and warm-mineral. There's nothing comparable in the drugstore segment.

Top note yuck, but then...
Warm, creamy beach skin.
I repeat: summer skin, well-groomed.
Really great.
