Workhorse or rather show pony?
I have become aware of Dua, because a dear Parfuma has gifted me with sample.
Throughout the band make the fragrances fun. The consistency of all tested Duas was oily greasy - not quite mine.
In my scent memory, Popped Cherry was a 1:1 dupe to Lost Cherry. In direct comparison, however, there are significant differences.
Lost Cherry is a souped-up, pretty, cuddly show ponyboy with expensive soft saddlery. The noble animal is trimmed to beauty and gossamer aufretzelt - only mount the horn - ready is the fabulous animal. The good one knows that too and is a little snob. Unfortunately, on his tender little hips, the sweetie won't last a day's ride. The round in the show ring rides itself but as on little clouds over rainbows.
Popped Cherry is the workhorse. Rough bones, PC is never showered and therefore comes across as a bit shaggy. Saddle stuff is synthetic and much less pleasant to ride. But the good horse makes up for the blemishes with a lot of eagerness, will and boundless stamina. The ride goes through the bushes and you come back disheveled possibly with the one or other scratch but happy.
The LC seems softer, smoother and more natural compared to the PC. The PC comes a little rougher and more uncouth. 2x Coctail cherry - the differences are clear enough for cherry lovers in my opinion to welcome both ;)

Rock Church
In my childhood I spent a lot of time with my grandparents in Raron in Switzerland.
The place had a very special smell: I smelled the herbs, the rock, the ice-cold water from the Bietschloch and always a hint of sheep dung. There are two churches. One is the old castle church where Rainer Maria Rilke is buried, the other was built into the mountain - a cave, so to speak. This one is called Felsenkirche. The interior of the church I have a huge memory of. The floors were laid out with a hard-wearing, rough fitted carpet - something straw-like and equipped with long wooden benches. Sometimes I would go to church during the day when it was empty.
Incense Flash smells to me identical to the smell of the empty rock church of my memory: dry, cool, incense, a little dusty but not unpleasant. The scent of the place, which was still slightly present in the church, also flashes through a little - a hint of mountain herbs and snow air.
The durability is with more than 6h with me very good, on textiles I can notice it for weeks.
But since the scent reminds me first and foremost of a very specific place, I find it incredibly difficult to assign it to people. For me, a journey into the past, but not perfume in the classic sense...

Chameleon
Fragrances can have totally different effects depending on the person. I had another experience like that last week
I love the Rose de Kandahar. I perceive rose only weakly in me and the bitter almond does not come through at all. All in all, a dust-dry, spicy-masculine matter on my skin - wonderful! However, I do not dare to be seen in public with it and I always wear it quietly and secretly all for myself alone.
Last week I took the scent to an acquaintance and she applied it. Develops beautifully with her too, but completely different from mine. The bitter almond, which is sorely missed by me, is celebrating its grand entrance. On her the scent is still tart, but much more feminine than mine - dry sweet.
