This was a blind buy for me solely based on the perfumer.

The similarities to Bois Impérial are the perfumer and the Akigalawood and that’s it. BI Akigalawood is more salty however.

Ganymede is an in the air wafting fragrance not an in your face scent. The wafts are pure bliss. The projection and sillage is outstanding. This is a signature fragrance if ever there was one. People will know you have come and gone by this trail.
Ganymede may go down as Mr. Bischs masterpiece scent.

The opening mandarin saffron creating a green apple and suede accord is genius. This high quality suede accord lasts almost throughout the entire long life of the scent. The heart opening up with violet leaf and osmanthus is making this clean and fresh I definitely get the new book and new office associations. The dry down akigalawood and immortelle. Give a very warm comforting woody patchoulies and slight medicinal sweetness. It’s a good 12+ hour scent with a very ample trail through the entire life.

Inhale deeply and you will experience an absolute eyes roll in the back of your head olfactory orgasm.
Deep red rose front and center brought down to earth with patchouli and incense. The sandalwood mixing with the iris is glorious in this. Angelica hmm. Never knew them well. but now I do. Bit of a celery note but also herbal and rooty. As my bottle blooms the Angelica is toning down. I purchased a 30 ml but this is becoming a major favorite so I’m sure I’ll be back for a 50 or even a 100 it is that good.
I personally don’t pay attention to gender in frags. This is definitely unisex if not masculine leaning. But again as with all frags it’s gonna smell a bit differently on everyone. Also what notes we perceive.

Hands down the cleanest patchouli I’ve ever smelled. It’s sweet it’s pure, potent and absolutely gorgeous. Combined with the 01 molecules cedar musky scent it’s s just brilliant. The Firmenich distillation of patchouli Coeur/heart used here cleans it up big time. Very little camphor dirt and dankness on me.
However this fragrance is gonna be a scent shifter per person and your scent and take on this is gonna be different than anyone else’s. So if you like cedar and patchouli you need to at least sample it to see how it mixes with you.
This is a beast performance wise on me also gonna change per person. Can be worn in any season day or night. Also signature worthy if it agrees with your chemistry.

Absolutely stellar smelling and performing fragrance, did I mention performing its lifespan is unreal for a modern edp. Especially at its price point.
Very pungent opening the peppered Basil and grapefruit aspect of the timut pepper is a wake up call for your nostrils. The freesia notes of the petalia calm the upcycled akigalawood. The Vetiver kinda grounds (pun intended) the patchouli ambrofix adds a bit of saltiness and makes this last and last. This is the energizer bunny of fragrances

If you love patchouli as I do you need to at least try this. It is however more than just patchouli. It’s an exploration into the sum of all that patchouli is. The opening orange citrus, neroli, clementine is awesome. The orange melts into the dry chocolate, a bit of frankincense opens up and gives way a cream soda accord which is stunning and sweetens it up a little. Closing out to a beautiful patchouli with some sandalwood and vanilla. It is truly a stunning fragrance. It is a signature worthy fragrance. Albeit far different than my current signature frag. This may become my new signature. This to me can be worn in all season depending on your trigger finger. Also note once you pull that trigger unless lightly, your committed to it, because this lasts all day and some. This fragrance is strong and bold but not offensive. If wearing to work half sprays are more than adequate and probably appropriate.
