Seductive dark red rose
A dark red seductive rose scent. Worn by a woman who knows what she wants, and she knows how to get it.

It's quite a jammy rose (reminiscent of the vibes the rose in Rose of No Man's Land Eau de Parfum gives) but very deep and dark. The patchouli gives it a touch of earthiness and the frankincense gives it an oriental spin. I often find oriental rose scents to turn a bit suffocating but that's not the case here, it's just smoothly jammy. To me it's not too sweet, at least not in a gourmand way, it's not overpowering.

To me this is quite feminine-leaning and best suitable for colder weather. It would be most fitting for an evening setting but it can definitely be worn on a day-to-day as well.

Surprisingly nice!
This reminds me of YSL Libre but with the addition of ylang ylang and more vanillic. It’s creamy but with a touch of floral freshness and some (very minimal) citrus acidity to balance things out. Although I’m normally not a fan of jasmine this one I do like. It’s blended nicely with the other notes.

It has a little bit of a tropical feeling but not too strong. I get visions of wearing this for a dinner out on a hot summer evening but it’s definitely suitable all year-round and will be a very nice comforting scent for winter days as well.

Unlike the original
So let me start off by saying that I don’t like the original Shalimar. This however is quite nice and nothing like it to my nose. I’d describe this as a spicy/oriental vanilla. Mostly a vanilla though with a slight touch of oriental. I think what I notice is something resinous, it shares something with to Cuir Beluga and Molton Brown Milk Musk, although they’re all very different!
It has a slight powdery feel in the makeup sense, like a bronzing powder not like laundry powder.
I’m not sure how this would wear in warmer weather but for fall and winter it’s very suitable. Longevity is great.

Fresh vanilla
Oddly enough I would describe this as a “fresh vanilla”. This vanilla is in no way edible or gourmand but nevertheless it’s a vanilla, just one with a lot of floral properties. This is a very “pretty” and romantic scent like a young woman who has her shit together and is happily floating through life. It’s ever so slightly powdery but by no means a truly powdery scent, rather it’s a bit creamy. This one works all year round, from the heat of summer to a cold winter day. Very suitable as signature scent.

Plum confusion
Bibliotheque reminds me of Vintage Radio by Lataffa but then sweeter and with a stronger plum note. Fruity but also comforting. It has some funky sweet wine-like note though that confuses me a little bit. Suitable for date nights and dinners out, more for winter and fall than the hotter months and leaning feminine to my nose.
