Coconut cream and summer vibes
First of all, I have to say that I have yet to find a coconut fragrance that didn't make me nauseous. The beach by zarkoperfume in particular was a disaster for me.
I had similar fears about Cocoyster, but I was still crazy enough to blindly buy the fragrance. And hallelujah, finally a coconut fragrance that is simply pleasant.
The salty component is slightly noticeable at first, but it quickly fades into the background. At first, the coconut is right in your face, but after about 30 minutes it becomes milder and creamier, comparable to the scent of coconut milk boiling when you open the can and eat the last of it with a spoon. I don't notice any artificial sweetness, vanilla doesn't appear in my nose at all, which is very much in favor of the fragrance, as I'm not into sweet or gourmand. Throughout the day, the scent emerges again and again, subtly but always there. It simply becomes softer, but doesn't lose any of its strength, even on very hot days. If the salty note were a little stronger, this fragrance would be a 10 out of 10 for me.

Lime juice for the skin
My first association when spraying it on in the store was actually the lime juice from my favorite Thai restaurant around the corner. Very fresh, very citrusy with a hint of cane sugar. I'm not a big fan of sweet or gourmand scents, they don't usually develop as nicely on me as they do on many others. For this reason, I was very pleased with the fresh recommendation from the lady in the Jo Malone store.
I was catapulted straight into a summer evening by the sea, when the air cools down a little but that shimmer is still there. Yuzu is very strong at first, but never gets that, sorry for the somewhat unsavory comparison, toilet-stone vibe. After about half an hour, a pleasant warmth develops under the freshness, which I can only compare to the cane sugar from my Lime Juice. A really great, light and fresh fragrance that doesn't get on my nerves and is still easily perceptible on my skin even after 5 hours, transporting me straight to summer and the water. Simply great.

Candied apple
When I smelled this fragrance for the first time, my mood lifted instantly. I was never a fan of sweet fragrances, but this one took me into a new world.
It reminds me of candied red apples at the Christmas market in the best possible way. And that's exactly when I think it belongs.
It's super sweet and the apple overwhelms all the other scents, so the fragrance doesn't develop over time. You get what you smell in the first five minutes. But I also really like it for that, no surprises, no unloved fragrance development and it lasts incredibly well. Should be applied in homeopathic doses though, otherwise it can be overwhelming.
But for the good mood and memories of the Christmas market, it is a firm guarantee in my collection and I like to spray it.

Stubborn rose
Why do the fragrances that don't appeal to me always last so damn well?
Lil Fleur sounded like a hit for me, judging by the fragrance notes. When I tested it, I was also quite taken with it. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of only spraying it on a test strip and not on my skin. End of the story: I now have a fragrance that has enormous headache potential for me.
Unfortunately, I don't notice any development over time. Lil fleur is simply rose, from beginning to end, neither the vanilla nor the leather can prevail against this penetrance. It doesn't seem particularly sweet to me either, more like the soaps that my great-grandmother used to store in the linen cupboard so that the bed linen didn't get musty and ended up being infused with this very special synthetic rose scent.

My first niche fragrance
After my pregnancy and parental leave, I was finally in the mood for perfume again, but I really wanted to try something new, as I couldn't smell the only fragrance I've used forever (Chloe, Love Story).
At KaDeWe, the Byredo counter caught my eye and the incredibly friendly lady asked about my preferences and presented me with four specific fragrances. Bal d'Afrique was the first fragrance and I was shockingly in love. I had never smelled anything like it before, I still don't know anything comparable (but I'm very new to the fragrance game.
For me, it is a fragrance for every occasion and every season (even if I would rather move it to fall and winter).
I find it very strong at first, almost overwhelming due to the diversity of the fragrance. It is not typically floral for me with its spicy note. What I love incredibly is that Bal d'Afrique develops into a great, soft fragrance with a slight caramel note after about 30 minutes. This is exactly what always reminds me of my visits home when I'm out and about at the markets and bazaars in North Africa. Cheerful, sensual with a very special twist.
