Eden Juicy Apple — Kayali: Tart Apples on a Bed of Moss
FINALLY something from Kayali that feels worth a fraction of the hype.

At first spray, Eden is a tart, crisp apple made complex by sweet 'n sour litchi, rich dark berries and brightened up by a hint of grapefruit. After a few hours, it dries down into fruity, sugared moss, more sticky caramel apple in an autumn forest than breezy springtime in an orchard, but it remains layered, beautiful and unique even as the top and middle notes fade.

This is happy, confident, and grown-up instead of the sickly sweet kiddie bubble bath I usually encounter in apple-based scents. It's mature but not old, joyous but not juvenile, unapologetically femme without being too pink and girly. The projection starts moderate and fades to intimate, staying power is good for once from this brand (4+ hours), and it reveals its different dimensions over hours of wear instead of starting linear and just going totally flat.

Is it worth the price tag? Until a truly solid lower end dupe hits the market...yeah, I think so. As a cheapskate, I don't say that lightly! But credit where it's due: Eden is distinctive, and I adore it.

Candied apples & youthful apple shampoo
At the beginning of my perfume journey, I was dead-set on trying out most basic gourmands (vanilla, chocolate and caramel based scents). After awhile, I felt it was time to move on and explore other types of sweet scents. When my boyfriend gifted me my first discovery set, this perfume had been on my list for awhile.

After the smell of alcohol dissipates, I’m met with this lovely fruity, floral apple scent. It’s giving uplifting energy and a cute upbeat vibe. Red apples are the star here and they never give up their place. After a few minutes, the floral aspect subsides and the fruitiness of this juice comes through. It’s like smelling a sugary sweet confection of toffee apple on a stick. Equal parts sweetness and fruitiness. There is a slight synthetic aspect as the scent might remind people of a fruity drugstore shampoo, but to me it’s more than just that. The pefume ends up drying down to a musky apple scent with warmth and a touch of feminine youthfulness. Love the fact that the perfume never becomes too sweet or too cloying. It stays light, with just a touch of warmth at the end.

It’s probably not the most innovative perfume out there but it does the job when you want to smell like juicy, sugary, sweet apples. It’s a nice fruity fragrance that can be layered since it’s quite linear. I tried it out with Vanilla 28 and it came out smelling like a sugary sweet apple confection. It has finally made a place for iself in my collection as a full bottle and will be staying there permanently.

Berry bodyspray as a real perfume
In my opinion Eden 01 is much more of a strawberry than a red apple perfume. I do get an apple note, especially in the opening, but even more of the so-called forest fruits, which smell a lot like strawberry and raspberry flavored candies to me.
I see a slight similarity to Burberry Her and BR540. Now don't get me wrong, this is definitely not another Baccarat dupe, it's a very different kind of scent, but I get a bit of that signature crunchy sugar + strawberry accord that is also found in Her and BR.

When I first tried this when it came out in winter, I found it a little sour and smelled more of the rose and grapefruit. Later, in summer, I mostly got berries, apple, vanilla and musk, everything came out very sweet and not sour at all.

The musk here is very clean and shampoo-ish, and together with the fruity sweetness it smells a lot like a body spray, like many mentioned. As the scent is supposed to evoke the fruity florals of the early 2000s and an All-American high school experience, I can't really fault it for that. But I'm European and never used those typical body mists by VS and B&BW as a teen, so this note doesn't make me feel that nostalgic, it just makes the scent feel less gourmand and juicy. I did use Escada summer fragrances, but those have a completely different kind of artificial fruity sweetness.

I still kind of like this, it's a fun novelty scent and feels a little more polished than a body mist. It's just not as juicy and mouthwatering as I hoped, and in my opinion one of the weaker links in the (mostly great) Kayali lineup.

Not bad - just not my preference.
I generally don't like sweet scents, so I'm not surprised I don't like this one. Someone gave me a sample, so I decided to try it anyways. It's not an inherently bad scent, it's just not my kind of fragrance. I can imagine someone who enjoys sweet scents really enjoying this. Very fruity, but in a synthetic way. Lasted longer than I thought - I could still smell it on my wrist even after I took a shower several hours after applying. I saw many reviews claiming this is a photorealistic apple fragrance, but in my opinion, there is nothing realistic about it.

Eden Juicy Apple | 01
I love a good apple scent, but this one doesn’t quite do it for me. On first spritz it’s all vibrant, juicy red apple - and that’s lovely. It’s what I wanted. Unfortunately it doesn’t last. Within the first 10 minutes, on me at least, all I can smell really is jasmine.

On Sunday I tried this one layered over Commodity Milk, and that makes for a nice paring, but the star of that show was definitely the Milk. The apple did last slightly longer, maybe around 30 mins, and the jasmine was subsequently more muted, but it wasn’t the absolute success I’d hoped it would be.

If I wear more than two sprays of this on each arm it ultimately just ends up giving me a headache.

I’m pleased to have tried it to satisfy my curiosity, but it won’t be one I repurchase.

She's that juicy, sugary and sweet uplifting scent. Toffee apple on a stick with a hint of drugstore fruity youthful shampoo.

Juicy, fruity, watery apple, very juvenile because of the body mist type synthetic vibe. It's not totally bad but I def couldn't wear it.

Smells like a cheap fruity body mist from Victoria's Secret or something alike at a much higher price point and below average performance.

It started off similar to apple shampoo, very soapy. The apple faded very fast and left a soapy, slightly fruity floral scent.
