Spring 2018 - Crime scene: drugstore in a small town in southern Germany.
As the weather became milder again and the flowers slowly began to bloom, I was looking for a new fragrance for the summer. I had always separated scents between cold and warm seasons. Not that I did not have a fresh summer scent at home, I just wanted something new, something different. Dior Sauvage was known to me until then - as a long "silent" reader in Parfumo. But I didn't pay much attention to it, for whatever reason. Well then, I was a little bored by my summer scents a la Issey Miyake and ADG.
I entered the shop and strolled along the shelves, the obligatory "can you be helped?" from the nice employee I denied with thanks, everything as usual. After a few minutes browsing, I had arrived at the praised shelf Chanel / Dior. Without great expectation to have tried everything more for the sake of tidiness, I reached for Sauvage edt and sprayed it on the test strip. beforehand - I already knew the fragrance since an acquaintance had bought and worn it after release 2015, but for the last 2 years I have not consciously noticed it anywhere. Yes, if you live in a smaller city this can happen. Well then, first impression: Wow, fresh, citric, spicy but not 0815. As I liked it basically, the next sprayer went on my wrist. I left the shop for the time being to follow my 2, 3 other to-do's in the city. The scent just wouldn't let go of me, by now a sticky, resinous, light sweetness had joined the scent, which had literally enveloped my wrist. So back to the drugstore, Sauavge laid on the cash register tape, cashier paying: May I give you two more specimens? Me: "no"

All joking aside, who turns down specimens?

I wore this fragrance all summer 18'except for a few exceptions, mainly to go out. It brought me many compliments and reminds me of carefree times at 30°, wine festivals and other evening events, at nice temperatures with good people. To me this fragrance has a very high quality effect, it has nothing to do with shower gel. Dior has set a trend with Sauvage, which many other well-known houses have followed since then and yes, some shower gel companies do it too, but it doesn't make the fragrance worse. If a €1.50 shower gel would now smell like Layton from PDM, would Layton be a shower fragrance? A good fragrance at an acceptable price will find its customers. In that sense: Dior, 1 plus with an asterisk, everything done right!

Why just clubbing?
I've known the fragrance for a long time and I've had it in my collection for quite a while. I find it quite fresh with a nice sweetish note. It definitely has a recognition value. But I can't understand many comments here (my opinion) I actually see the scent in all possible situations, except maybe at 35° in midsummer. Can also be worn in the office, if you don't rape a spray head. So why just clubbing? Also the fact that the fragrance is only suitable for u20 men does not open up to me. There are much sweeter candidates, there's no one talking about u 20

Not Sauvage
Third in line. The worst for me, too. First of all - we're still talking about an above-average perfume! but this flanker, his own name
Sauvage - what in French means as much as "wild" does not really mean after. I really liked the corners and edges of the first variant - the EDT - and still do today. This one is much smoother and rounder than the two predecessors, but will it replace the EDT in my collection? No. Does it make sense to have both? Clear to me, no. So why trade the wild water for this one?

That smells like man!
After a spontaneous purchase in the perfumery, the salesgirl enclosed me a tester from Le Male. Of course I knew the scent, but I've worn it for a long time. I had an appointment with my girlfriend for about half an hour. She was (against my expectations) crazy about the scent! She said: "wow, that smells like a man!" grossly, because as much as I like the smell, I find that it is - even by the sweetness, not the definition of masculinity. Apparently the "adult men" wore this scent when she was still small, hence the association! Sometimes it is not the scent, but the memories and experiences with it that are decisive. By the way: I have it in my collection again ;)

Back and forth
Aventus or not. You get a great fragrance here for a small price. It's very fruity at first. The smoky notes are still playing in the background. With time he loses his fruity vibe more and more, never disappearing completely. Only the scent - great! Beautiful fresh, fruity, smoky aaaaaabut a perfume is only fun if it is perceived, by yourself and by the environment. Unfortunately, the vial cannot score here at all. It is still felt 20 minutes after spraying, but not afterwards. I even asked a friend to spray this scent on his body, unfortunately it was similar here. In summary: good fragrance, bad performance, unfortunately.
