a pond in the middle of hanging gardens
A pond, calm and clear, covered in delicate lotus flowers, their petals dancing like butterflies on the water, surrounded by green, hanging gardens.
The air is moist and clear, fresh and bright in this early morning place, suffused with a soft green, the beads of water gliding gently on the flowers and leaves of the plants.
The flowers exude a delicate fragrance that mingles with the lush green of the leaves and the smell of green figs.
The sun is just rising, the day is awakening, the dew has settled over everything.
The green unfolds and spreads cheerfulness and freshness....
_________
This is the image that "Fig & Lotus Flower | Jo Malone" conveys to me - and that is exactly what this fragrance is supposed to convey. Green, bright, fresh, cheerful.
A hint of graceful lotus blossoms, neroli, a little musk, a good portion of vetiver and leafy green. The illusion of leafy green is probably created here by the molecule stemone, which is combined with lactonic notes to recreate a milky fig leaf note.
It is a fragrance that has an immediate effect. Even in a bad mood, this fragrance conjures up a cheerful feeling, the mood is lifted and the fresh aquatic note clears the mind. *It's great what some fragrances can do*
However, it's not for everyone, as Jo Malone's creation is very green, hardly sweet and this fragrance doesn't really change over time. I think it's great, a very refreshing creation, especially in summer.

Under the spell of Hypnôse
Hypnotize the senses? This fragrance can definitely do that. Sprayed on and BÄÄÄM - thundered right into the synapses.
The top note paralyzes with a really nice mandarin and a pinch of pepper. However, this beautiful, juicy note soon transforms into a wonderfully floral melange with a rich honey note.
Osmanthus is in the foreground, and you really have to like it. Honey fades noticeably as the fragrance progresses and osmanthus takes pole position for easily an hour. Rose creeps in from time to time - but cannot take first place and always remains discreetly in the background. This harmonious dance between these three notes goes on for a long time and absolutely hypnotizes me. I can't help but keep pressing my nose against the back of my hand. I am truly under the spell of this fragrance.
This floral heart becomes soft and powdery just before it loses some of its power. From this point on, it is almost caressing. Before that, the fragrance is a little provocative, I admit. But I love all facets of this fragrance.
This hypnotic masterpiece remains long, steady and strong. Until it fades into a finely interwoven base of labdanum, patch and tonka bean. The sweetness slips away, patch and labdanum then set the tone. Yes, the base is also beautiful. But the pearl of this fragrance is definitely the heart.

I've been debating whether or not to get it for two years now. The only thing stopping me is the question of when to wear it.
I can't give a clear answer to the question of whether I like "Hypnôse (Eau de Toilette) | Lancôme" or "Hypnôse Senses | Lancôme" better. Both are great, both are captivating or hypnotizing in their own way. Sense is a little more playful, both are sexy, both are worth the money.

Silk mood
In silky softness and delicate sound,
Caresses every touch with a bang.
Like silk scarf striped on skin,
The sensuality is gently matured.

Every tenderness, so gentle,
Like a breath, dances on the skin.
Feminine and soft, a sound so sweet,
Flowing in a cuddly embrace.

A dance of feeling, sensual and gentle,
In this magic our hearts find.
So may the hours weave,
In silky-soft love life.

Silk mood. What a wonderful name for a fragrance. Rarely has a name suited a perfume as well as Silk Mood.

For me, Silk Mood is a weave of delicate, tender nuances, finely interwoven, subtle and flattering, like a silk scarf that gently hugs the skin.

Soft, feminine - a mood, a feeling that I like to immerse myself in.

Silk Mood would be a clean fragrance if it weren't for the lovely vanilla tones that delicately flow into it. Enveloping, lulling and yet somehow sensually stimulating, even attractive.
It is difficult to smell individual ingredients. I do perceive musk, vanilla, light flowers and a delicate nuance of woods, but it is not necessary to break everything down precisely. The fragrance shines as a whole - a weave of the finest silk that caresses my skin. It is feather-light and delicate, like lotus silk, without a particularly high sillage. It doesn't need that either. The fragrance is like a second skin - private, close, calm, dreamlike.
Now the question arises: do I have to have it? After all, I already own umpteen of these wonderful fluffy musk fragrances. Can you ever have too many? ... maybe ... but if I ever come across it, then definitely. After all, it's different from the ones I already own.
I like these no-brainers. They fit so well without reservation, are not challenging and are easy and simple to wear and work with. But sometimes that's exactly what you need.

simple can be so beautiful
Everyday life, hectic, stressful, constantly under pressure. No eye left for the beauty of simple things. Passing over and ignoring, fading out and suppressing.

Yet there is so much in the simple things.

The friendly smile of a stranger that makes you smile as well... the smell of freshly cut grass on a warm spring day... the bright colors of a rainbow after a summer rain and the scent of it... the chirping of birds in the early morning that welcomes the day... the soothing silence of a snowy day in winter..A walk on the beach accompanied by the sound of the waves... the laughter of a child coming from the heart... giving or receiving a small compliment... a warm hug... the smell of fresh coffee... the buzzing of a bee announcing spring and nature coming to life.
All these little things, all these simple moments.
If we focused a little more on the simple things, consciously perceiving them instead of letting ourselves be overwhelmed by everyday life, many people (myself included) would be much happier. "Simple" does not automatically imply that something has less value or is just plain. The perspective changes everything. It's the same with "Simply" by Jil Sander.

Simply EAU DE PARFUM POUDRÉE INTENSE is so easy to like.

Feel-good cashmere - enveloping like a cocoon, soft, powdery-sweet and woody-warm, cuddly, lovely but discreetly restrained.
Simple, without a lot of frills. It's there, but not overpowering. Flattering, feminine, minimalistically reduced.
Simply is a fragrance in which I don't smell any specific ingredients, nor do I want to here. I don't smell cocoa, I don't smell mandarin. I could identify cashmeran, sandalwood and heliotrope with a good will.

But honestly! I don't care. I "simply" accept that "Simply (Eau de Parfum Poudrée Intense) | Jil Sander" is simply knitted, and simply gives me an all-round cozy feeling of security.

let's stroll through the magnolia grove
Spring in Schöntal near Aschaffenburg: the most beautiful magnolia grove I have ever seen. When you stroll through the grove in mid-April, you are surrounded by fragrant magnolia blossoms. Pink and white flowers as far as the eye can see, petals raining down and covering the ground, which is already covered in them. It's so wonderfully kitschy and romantic. The scent that permeates the air is interspersed with bright, fruity, but very intense and typical scents of magnolia blossoms. Bees and bumblebees gather what they can, and the air is filled with busy humming. You can almost smell the delicate scent of honey.
I always associate the scent of magnolias with spring. Carven Paris Florence invites you on this little fragrance journey.

A truly enchanting but very intense fragrance. You are immediately greeted with a good load of magnolia, sweet and strong, with a hint of sour currant, dancing a feminine dance between balance and exuberance. Later on, heliotrope blurs these lines and the fragrance becomes softer and more tender without losing any of its power. Paris Florence should be dosed discreetly. Only in the base does the presence fade and the melange becomes soft, somewhat woody and musky.

An incredibly elegant, feminine fragrance that is definitely not for the under-20s. It's certainly cheerful and occasionally sparkling, but the strong magnolia gives the fragrance a serious quality that somehow doesn't suit young girls. I find it almost too much for the office, as it has a very good sillage, and in summer it could also be too much. But in spring, at a concert, a walk or a party, it's just right. I really like it, an incredibly well-made fragrance that you don't have much to complain about.

Nevertheless, it's not a candidate for purchase because I think it might be too much for some people. I recommend magnolia lovers to definitely give it a try!
