Warmth and Comfort in a Spray
Oh, I see here that this fragrance only has one comment... In my opinion, it doesn't deserve that. So, let me share my thoughts:
It is the first Jil Sander that has found a home in my collection. I had tested it at some point and somewhere on a card, and then it disappeared into my handbag. Since all women's bags seemingly have a hidden compartment, it was only fished out after some time - and sniff, sniff - not bad at all. It didn't immediately trigger a purchase impulse, but I couldn't forget it either. When I found a good deal, I jumped on it (before the "evil forces of darkness," meaning the manufacturers, snatch it off the market...). Yes, one learns from painful experiences ;-).
Upon the first spray, it reminded me for a few seconds of L'Instant Magic by Guerlain. But then it quickly takes its own path - I distinctly perceive cocoa. It is wonderfully powdery, and the pink color of the bottle fits perfectly. However, mandarin remains completely hidden from me. It doesn't go through any further scent development on me, so "Simply" fits very well here.
Personally, I spray my bathrobe before bathing and hang it over the heater - this way, after the lovely wash, I am greeted by a cozy, warming, and comforting scent. Simply beautiful.
Scent: as described above, a warming, powdery, not too sweet cuddle and comfort scent.
Longevity: definitely better than the predecessor of the Intense version.
Sillage: rather not too strong, but I think it "fits" the scent.
Bottle: also fits well with the scent.
Price: if you wait for a deal, it's completely reasonable; at regular price, I find it a bit too expensive.
