Vintage vibes and reminders
I enter the somewhat dusty room, through whose closed wooden shutters the sun shines and gives the room a very special aura. Grandma greets me warmly with her frail voice, hobbles towards me and embraces me in her gnarled, frail arms. I have to lean down towards her, as she has become so small that even I, at 1.60 m, tower over her by two heads.

"Hello grandma, nice to see you. Mmm, you smell good again today," I greet her. As always, she replies with "Hello child, you've widened again" and smiles. "No, Grandma, you've gotten smaller again," I reply. "Yes, yes, I know, child, I know." I loved her, this quaint old woman. For many years I always spent the school vacations with her, I have many memories and a lot of joy associated with her... and her scent. She always smelled of soap and "Woman | Marbert".

This fragrance is proof that inexpensive fragrances don't necessarily have to be bad. Marbert Woman is an elegant classic, a perfume that smells so high-quality that you could be forgiven for thinking you're wearing an expensive Chanel. Yes, it has vintage vibes, but it manages to keep the balance, not to appear dusty or even old-fashioned. It always conveys a very sophisticated elegance to me.

The top notes are delicately citrusy, but quickly transform into a warm, woody fragrance framed by a green rose geranium. Delicately spicy wisps of incense drift in between, jasmine is discreetly in the background, sometimes in the foreground. The base is very warm, spicy and pleasant; tonka with woods, minimal floral nuances and subtle wisps of smoke. I don't perceive it as a pure oriental, rather as a classic women's fragrance with slight oriental undertones. It doesn't fill the room or take over, but is more of an understated, enveloping scent, like being wrapped in a cocoon. I cannot understand comparisons with retro sun cream. It doesn't smell like sunscreen to me at all. But it is similar to Jil Sander Woman, which no longer exists.

For me, Marbert Woman has great nostalgic value. It is the fragrance that evokes memories, makes me reminisce about my youth and makes me think back fondly to my grandma.

The scent of familiarity
The breeze gently caresses the skin; goose bumps,
Seconds of intimacy, seconds of unity and closeness.
The skin, so soft, fragrant and spicy appealing,
Fingers brush over it while the head rests on the chest.

Breathing deeply, drawing in the scent, security.

___________
"Sandalwood Blossom" - this enchanting fragrance with a melodious name. "Fleur de Santal" caresses, indeed, almost tenderly envelops with its fragrant iris milk on a sandalwood base, accompanied by speckles of a still green mimosa.

Fleur de Santal opens peppery, accompanied by green angelica and immediately present sandalwood. The pepper quickly softens, and so the fragrance remains throughout. Soft, tender, cuddly, slightly spicy and full of calm. Nothing exciting or even demanding. Ylang-ylang has hidden itself away, musk binds everything into a delicate melange. (I don't notice the milk note I hate so much here.)

It doesn't evaporate quickly, but it lacks power, it's more like a delicate skin fragrance that you only wear for yourself or your partner. Intimate and discreet. But that's precisely why it's so beautiful.

No, it is not a women's fragrance, absolutely unisex and also very attractive on my husband.

No more words are needed to describe Fleur de Santal.
A fragrance that suggests security.
Love....

Discreet is the right word for Rima XI
I really like "Rima XI | Carner". BUT... It's beautiful: airy spice winds, soft and gentle, bringing a touch of winter coziness and calm. It also actually has a hint of caramelized popcorn - for 5 minutes. Then the scent evaporates on my skin. After 30 minutes, I no longer smell any of it. Not just the top note, no, nothing at all. The fragrance is as if blown away.

But in the 30 minutes I can also smell some nutmeg, minimal cinnamon, finely interwoven. Where jasmine and the bombastic base notes are supposed to be is not clear to me. I can smell neither vanilla nor benzoin or even amber. These are all ingredients that are normally very perceptible. The woods also remain hidden from me.

Like all Carner fragrances, simply soft, beautiful and caressing, but unlike "Besos", for example, this one is hardly long-lasting.

Maybe it's my skin, who knows. Nevertheless, what I smell here is simply beautiful.

Modern Japanese - just not easy
In the east, a spinning of scents awakens,
Cherry blossoms whisper words, without much sense.
Tuberose powerful, sandalwood strokes gently,
Grain in the wind, the heart laughs.

Radiant light in an urban night,
Creamy nuances, without fuss, full splendor.
Japanese, modern, in the aroma of the times,
pure fragrance, just not light.
________________________

Tuberose is often too sweet for me, it usually has too many "bubblegum vibes" in fragrances. Here, in Flower Ikebana, it is very pretty. Certainly the combination that makes it. Grainy undertones, delicate woods, even if they seem a little synthetic, and the cherry blossom make the fragrance very feminine and tender. BUT be careful, it is still not light, as I first assumed. I can't perceive the "lightness" that is attributed to the Japanese here. It really packs a punch. It has a modern touch.
The top note is loud, tuberose, fruity and strong. I can already smell cherry blossom. But not for very long, the tuberose is very dominant. Later, after about 30 minutes, I notice a very subtle cereal note.
Ikebana is sweet, soft, creamy, warm. Yes, warm is the right word.
The base is still reminiscent of the dominance of tubi. However, now with a synthetic sandalwood note that you have to like. Personally, I don't find it bad. I am also sure to smell a good portion of musk. Which in turn harmonizes really well.

A fine fragrance that differs greatly from the usual floral scents. This is also due to the slightly different presentation of the bottle, which finally makes it easier to differentiate between the fragrances.

I like it, but it's not a candidate for purchase. Even though it is finely made and I had to smell my perfumed area for hours on end while testing it, it would probably be too much of a good thing for me in the long run.

tough stuff
Akkad by Lubin is really powerful - the fragrance is tough stuff. If I had to find a musical counterpart to go with this fragrance, it would definitely be 'Tannhäuser', you probably know this heavy opera number. Akkad takes me away, similar to the haunting sounds from the overture of 'Tannhäuser'.

Imagine a sweet orange note that caresses you like a sunny kiss, followed by a soft vanilla melody that makes everything sound a bit like absorbent cotton. But there's more - a sage-spicy cardamom twinkle emerges. In the middle, resinous wafts of incense hover, lending the whole thing a touch of mysticism, almost like the mysterious atmosphere in this impressive opera.

And then the labdanum-heavy ambergris comes into play, setting deep, sensual accents - almost like the dramatic climax of the opera that takes your breath away. The last act? A subtle patchouli dance that ends the fragrance in a slowly diminishing diminuendo. This is a real olfactory potpourri. Heavy, rich, exhausting and yet beautiful.

I had the pleasure of experiencing Tannhäuser once, it was super strenuous and demanding but well worth the experience. It's similar with Lubin's Akkad, exciting fragrance, nice to smell, exhausting to wear and therefore unfortunately not for me in the long run.

Footnote
"Tannhäuser", the musical masterpiece by Richard Wagner, takes us into a fascinating world full of romantic entanglements. The opera tells the story of the knight and minstrel Tannhäuser, who is caught in an inner conflict between the sinful Venus and the virtuous Elisabeth.
The musical landscape of "Tannhäuser" is a breathtaking but very heavy panorama, interspersed with Wagner's characteristic leitmotifs, which paint the emotions and conflicts of the characters like colorful brushstrokes.
This opera is not only a sonorous symphony, but also a visual feast, where music, plot and stage design merge into an enchanting symbiosis - a truly complete work of art.
