First of all: I lack elegance.
I have often been accused of this.
I am not young. I am educated. And well-read.
I love art, theater and music.
But elegant, no, that's not me.
"Dress up, we're going out." I've heard that many times.
But all attempts to live up to it have failed.
When I put on a shift dress, I feel dressed up.
If I wear high heels, either the heel or the ankle breaks after a few moments.
My hair is usually tangled. Nail polish splinters immediately after application. Lipstick only lasts a few moments.
Jeans, T-shirt, sneakers - that's me. This is how I feel real.

The peat fire burns comfortably, the smoky smell greets me as I enter the room. It's dark outside.
We've just come back to the cottage from a long walk.
I have slipped the wellies off my cold feet and am pleased that the feeling is returning to my toes.

Blimey, now I've missed it. My marshmallow has turned quite dark in one place, the caramel now smells slightly burnt.
I quickly spread the now soft, creamy, roasted mixture onto a butter cookie and place a piece of chocolate on top.
Quickly into my mouth while it's still warm. I taste brown caramel and a little vanilla.

Relaxed, I sink into the armchair.

When I pass the spice dealer, I notice that my fruits are already eaten up. Too bad, I would have tolerated more. Should I go back?

But the bouquet of scents here distracts me - everything mixes, nutmeg and clove, is there also cinnamon? The saffron threads glow red, I expect to perceive their dry, sweet-bitter smell, but they keep (unfortunately) too much in the background.

I stroll on, at the next stand incense is sold, incense and oud, balsamic scents rise to my nose.

Then I remember: I wanted to buy another small suede bag. I look around, but too bad, the dealer has already packed his goods and dismantled the stand.

Magnificently Dubai is a gentle, quiet fragrance - in contrast to other Orientals very suitable for everyday use. Perhaps this is the Western influence in Dubai, modern and quite cosmopolitan. An Orient-Occident blend, so to speak.
It is not too sweet, not too heavy and also goes in the office.
In any case, unisex.
The shelf life is good, with me around 6 hours.
