Absolutely worth it

This stays on forever and projects like madness on me. I’ve been wearing this for a month or so and 3 random people asked me what I was wearing. It’s mainly citrus and leather on me. Can’t really praise this enough for the price. It will probably get discontinued in a couple of months so make sure you grab one. It smells niche and expensive for less than 20 euros.

If Dubai is like this scent, it's magnificent

It starts with a citrusy/sweet touch like an absolutely delicious vanilla orange that is broken up by an incense nuance in a very balanced way.

Little by little, a very rich spicy side emerges with hints of nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves (making its oriental side stand out).

The background is much denser (as you would expect). To my nose, there are nuances of smoke and suede mixed with that soft and warm leather.

For me, it's a nocturnal and sensual fragrance, evidencing the luxury of Dubai in every spray. Clearly bold and festive, period.

By description, and as advertised, it is shareable. However, as it has a more evident sweetness, it is possibly very pleasing to women. If we only focus on the base notes, it will possibly appeal more to men.

The performance is good, even more so considering the price it has. It sets very well on my skin and has a moderate projection.

Worthy cheapie leather to rotate with your other leathers

I bought a 10ml roll on yesterday and I've been testing it since then. Magnificently Dubai starts with citrus and fresh spices even if they aren't listed in the fragrance notes. This first steps are the ones I find leaning to usually labelled as masculine perfumes. It is at first bold straight forward but a tiny bit soapy too. About ten minutes later it morphs into a creamy leather/suede where both saffron and nutmeg are present and there is a new slight sweetness at this stage which makes it perfectly unisex. It lasts for long hours this way. If you enjoy leather perfumes do not hesitate to give it a chance.

Zara has really good things.

As the name suggests, Magnificently Dubai is definitely an oriental fragrance from Zara. Zara has already released a fragrance here in 2021 that is really something. Admittedly, you have to like something like this, even if it is quite pleasingly designed.

According to the fragrance pyramid, the fragrance contains only three notes.
Nutmeg, leather and saffron.
All three notes are also recognizable, but this fragrance still does a lot more.
I think the fragrance pyramid is not complete, as is so often the case.

It also opens directly with a subtle leather accord and a good portion of oriental spice.
Furthermore, I find that the fragrance also has a certain sweetness, especially at the beginning.
I think I recognize something like a kind of honey. Some honey, some vanilla, maybe something syrupy.

After about 30-60 minutes, however, this sweetness clearly recedes, perhaps even almost disappears.
The leather and spices remain.
After about two hours, I also get a slightly earthy impression.
I tend towards patchouli.

Unisex ?
Men and women can definitely wear this fragrance.
But I tend to see it more on a man.

Performance ?
Perfectly fine.
This fragrance lasts about 7 hours on me and the sillage is also completely okay.

Would you like to get to know an oriental fragrance with a certain depth from Zara? Then Magnificently Dubai would be an idea and therefore worth a test.

Expensive smell on a budget

First of all: the perfume smells a LOT more expensive than it is!

I also somehow doubt that the fragrance really only has 3 notes - I can still smell something citrusy in the opening. Possibly also some ginger. In the drydown, the wonderful Dubai would also pass as a juicy Christmas cake - saffron and soft leather are clearly noticeable, exactly as you would like them to be.

I have subsequently corrected my classification to the effect that this is not just a summer or vacation perfume. For me, it can be worn almost all year round, or ideally from summer to winter.

I found out by chance that layering with Mancera Instant Crush is definitely worthwhile - and if you take a closer look at the fragrance notes, it's no wonder. Instant Crush lasts a very long time, the combination with Magnificent Dubai is a dream and definitely worth experiencing! I would advise anyone who has both fragrances at their disposal to give it a try. The whole thing really is like a trip to an oriental spice market. The glorious Dubai alone is more like a ride in an open jeep through the desert, with subliminal scents of sand and sun - both definitely have their appeal, and it is indeed rare for a fragrance to stand on its own but also be a good layering candidate.
