Middle East Vibe
I don’t want to speak about quality or natural material because I know that in this fragrance there is a big percentual of areochemical. For this reason I know that the price is disproportionate.
I want to speak only about what I Fell when I Smell this fragrance, ad i Wrote on fragrantica.
I have always been drawn to the Middle East—a world of customs, traditions, unshakeable values, and perhaps even a fair share of superstitions. It is a world that inspires idealization, capable of transporting the imagination on a journey. As we know, imagination is stimulated by the brain, and the brain by the senses; for me, the sense of smell is what truly unleashes my imagination.
Turning to the perfume itself, I won’t discuss the fragrance’s composition, but rather the emotions I felt upon smelling it. To describe it, I first need to distinguish between the two types of Middle Eastern fragrances I perceive:
Those that evoke luxury and fantasy, and those that reflect reality—real life. Take *Jubilation* by Amouage, for instance—a magnificent Oriental scent. It brings to mind the East’s greatest opulence: grand palaces, gold, and carpets embroidered with the finest materials. It is a fragrance that, while distinctly Oriental, conveys a certain austerity and elegance—the kind associated with Arab princes. *Jubilation* makes me soar on a magic carpet across the desert toward a destination that, while unknown, feels familiar: a grand royal palace. *The Night*, however, is different. When I first smelled it, I pictured a bustling market—like those in Cairo. A place where crowds are packed together and chaos reigns—but a joyful chaos. A market where the commotion lifts the spirits, and where colors, flavors, and *scents* all blend together. A market where a generous merchant might simply give away his goods, knowing not everyone can afford them. I associate *The Night* with that very commotion—that lively din that speaks of the common people and good cheer. It is a wholesome joy born of community and spontaneity; a pure joy that has nothing to do with wealth. For me, this is *The Night*. With this dark, pungent, and animalic oud, Ropion has—in my view—recreated something akin to a "stench." It is the very same scent I would catch amidst a massive crowd and deafening noise—and one that, with great joy, I would embrace and make my own.
Disco Night fragrance
If you are looking for an underground disco fragrance you are in the right place: leather, smoke, and a dirty rose create a unique Smell that I associed to berlin 90’s club.
The animalic notes gives to danse lascive a touch of melanconie that, in my opinion, They also contribute to giving the fragrance a vintage feel.
