Authentic Lokum
Lush perfumes have always been quirky. They polarize - even before you test them. Many are already put off by the smell of the store, or at the latest by the packaging, names, or prices.

One thing is clear: Lush knows its customers well and focuses on them without regard for losses. This also means that for every popular product, MORE products are added. Oh, you like this shower gel? Here’s a cream, a bath bomb, a shampoo, and a perfume, both solid and liquid, to go with it. And you know what? There's also a body spray!

~~~Scent~~~
For several years, I have lived at the source: Lokum, "Turkish Delight," or in German "Türkischer Honig," I get directly from the store next door. The overly sweet dessert made from sugar and flavors is simultaneously outrageously simple and genius, as it hits the sweet tooth so directly and painlessly that it’s almost too much of a good thing. Served in pretty tins and colored with juicy hues, it’s also nice to look at.
One of my favorite varieties is rose, which my untrained taste buds initially found strange, but then super enjoyable. In the flower-printed packaging, dark pink cubes are lined up, dusted with fine starch so they don’t stick to each other or to your fingers. These little sugar bombs are chewy yet melt quickly, while the rose flavor makes it feel like you’re indulging in something very fine and fresh, not just pure glucose.
Yes, and this is how Rose Jam smells. Powdery, sweet, and rosy. The name means rose jam, and I can understand that, because after a few hours, at the latest after a day, the cardigan sprayed with Rose Jam surprisingly smells fruity. Especially at the beginning, the lemon is a secret main character that goes unnoticed. It’s the one that connects the rose, the sugar, and the powder.
~~~Longevity~~~
Rose Jam lasts up to 48 hours. On the skin, the body spray can even survive a shower, as long as you don’t wash your wrists. On clothing, bed linens, and in hair, it always lasts at least one night.

~~~Sillage~~~
It’s one of those scents that fills the room without being overpowering. The powderiness carries it to the last corner of the room, but the scent is so approachable and gentle that it doesn’t disturb.
~~~Bottle~~~
Rose Jam is packaged in the body spray variant in a black spray bottle with white lettering and a red spray protection lever. The plastic is recycled. I like the look: so pragmatic that it’s cool again. And definitely travel-friendly! The sprayer releases a generous and widely distributed mist and has never malfunctioned so far.

I am totally smitten with the Rose Jam body spray. The scent is perfect for my taste for sweetness, and it lasts so well. It’s also special enough to be interesting without being overly pleasing. Moreover, at just under 35 euros/200 ml, it’s really fairly priced. Luckily, I have now bought more rose lokum so I can also eat what I’ve been sniffing all this time.

Samsara Eau de Toilette
Samsara is woody, powdery, sweet, mature, cozy, and self-assured.

When I passed by it while testing in the perfumery, I remembered that I had heard good things about it.

After spraying it on, I couldn't help but smile - I know this scent! My favorite professor wears it often. So at first, I wasn't sure if I should get it, as I don't like to wear the same fragrances as people around me. But at the same time, I'm not the most patient person, and soon enough, a bottle of the EDT found its way to me. What can I say - I love it!

The top notes are a bit sharp at first, but the sillage is immediately powdery soft and becomes even more beautiful, spicier, and warmer over time. Definitely a fragrance that shines best from about 30cm away - perfect. Not too overpowering, not too weak.

The next day, the clothes smell wonderful, the base lasts incredibly long, and over time, it invites you to stick your nose in even more.

Since I don't have a particular talent for picking out specific notes, I'll just say this: sandalwood and jasmine.

I currently enjoy wearing it in the cool temperatures at all times of the day, preferably in the afternoon.
In my opinion, it suits many occasions - as it is both cuddly and elegant, it is very adaptable. I'm curious about summer!

Am I too young for this fragrance from a conservative perspective? Maybe. Do I care? Definitely!

Delicious, clean, unusual!
Karma! What a name. I'm skipping yoga today and instead writing about this Lush fragrance, which I believe doesn't get enough attention on Parfumo.

I own the solid perfume, which is a bit sweeter, softer, and more orangey than the liquid version.

Karma opens with oranges that are no longer real oranges, but ones that have polished their karma so much that they smell golden. The patchouli and earthy forest notes mix in clearly from the very beginning, even though they remain in the background for now.

Quickly, the bitter components come to the forefront, revealing a surprising depth. Patchouli is predominant here, but not the hippie-shop patchouli that always leans towards a smoky and musty direction for my nose; rather, it's a very earthy and - as mentioned here - simultaneously clean patchouli. That such a thing even exists!

Incredibly delicious and anything but ordinary.

The packaging is now super beautiful, it's a pity that the old (in my opinion ugly) bottle is still shown here.

(Timeless) Cotton Candy
A dear friend, Hexe541, surprised me a few weeks ago with a wonderful fragrance package.
Among it was a sample of Pink Sugar - finally, I had always wanted to try it. At the latest, after I found it beautiful myself in warm Portugal, it was clear: I need more!

So first, I got a decant from Tamira. And again: It is so delicious!

While strolling through the flea market today, I spotted Pink Sugar right at the second stand: I couldn't believe my eyes! What a coincidence. The lady said she had paid about 50.- for the almost full but slightly damaged bottle in the USA - well, I bargained her down to 11.- and now I'm floating in the 7th cotton candy cloud.

About the scent:
It starts extremely intense with a pure fairground note that somehow lies between cotton candy and roasted almonds. The main thing is sweet! The heart is the most beautiful for me; here it remains sweet but more delicate, without being sharp or sticky. My friend said (after clarifying that it was too sweet for her personally) that she could also imagine wearing it in summer - fairs are also in the warm seasons! She is right. Even my boyfriend likes Pink Sugar, and he says he usually doesn't like sweet perfumes.
The base remains sweet but slightly woody and warm.

For me, it’s a scent that I wear for myself. I would also take it to the office or university, but not freshly sprayed. Surprisingly, it manages to maintain the cotton candy vibe after the sugar explosion at the beginning, while still developing a "freshly showered and lotioned" note.

I wouldn't describe the longevity as above average, but definitely very good.

People, go to the flea market! (I also saw Coty-Wild Lagoon, TM-Angel, D&G-Light Blue, for example)

The best Alien?
I really don't understand how there are so many rather negative comments here. For me, Alien Eau Extraordinaire was THE discovery!

My personal Alien story began about ten years ago when I received a sample of the original. I had never been so thrilled by a perfume! After having it for a few years and loving it, I still parted ways with it: it had become too mainstream for me, so many women were smelling - stinking - too strongly of it.

When I started to think about getting it again, I held back from buying it because it is the signature scent of a good friend of mine. I thought my love story with Alien was over.

But then I received the Extraordinaire as a gift.

Boom! I was in love again just like back then. It’s a different Alien, but it’s still Alien.
It has the same magic for me, that something I can never describe, this elegant and metallic-radiant note. Additionally, there are lemony bergamot notes (heehee) - I love Earl Grey!

With it, I don’t have to worry about bothering someone with my scent cloud. That has been a real downside for me with the classic Alien, as even a spritz was a statement for the whole day (and the next, and the one after that....) Nevertheless, it lasts quite well (especially in the hair) and I notice it throughout the day. Sure, a perfume that I love should last 24 hours, but without that amazing sillage, you probably won't get that kind of longevity. Maybe try combining it with the body lotion?

I also think it’s great that the bottle (unlike the regular EDT) is refillable. Plus, it’s also the cheapest Alien.

I’m in love!
