A pleasant surprise
This perfume was a pleasant surprise for me.
It has been a long time since a truly masculine fragrance appeared on the market, with traces of the 90s and distinct from this cursed “cotton candy” trend.
Frankly, I am tired of all these perfumes launched in the last two decades, that smell the same, with sweet aromas, no personality, and no charisma whatsoever.
But I “belong” to Gen X. I've used and know countless fragrances that are completely different from the trends that are imposed on us today. Everyone smells the same, more “sugar,” less “sugar”...
I highly recommend this new fragrance. It's a fragrance that's different from the trends of recent years.

Never again
I tried it again today, after almost two decades of not going near this perfume.
I don't like it. It reminds me of those cheap "perfumes" sold in supermarkets, which smell like insecticide or toilet bowl cleaner...
It's impossible to like this perfume or compare it to any other fragrance... no, and it's nothing like perfumes like Polo (Green) RL, Tsar VC&A, Paco Rabanne pour Homme, etc.
Even comparing it to Lacoste (original) is unrealistic.

The other Yuppie scent
This perfume appears in the closet of the character Patrick Bateman (portrayed by Christian Bale) in the movie "American Psycho" (2000). This movie alludes to the Yuppie generation of the late 80s, with the story taking place in 1991.
So they were wrong to place this perfume, launched in 1996, in a story that alludes to the late 80s, early 90s.

Still a true powerhouse
After about 30 years, since the last time I used this fragrance, I decided to buy the last "version" still available.
It remains an intense, powerful perfume, with the aura of the 80s. It remains a true powerhouse, aimed at an age group, I would say, from 35 years old upwards.
It is a unique fragrance that competed with YSL Jazz, VC&A Tsar, among others, from the Yuppie generation of the late 1980s.
It's in my collection and will be used on special occasions.
Xeryus by Givenchy ... I highly recommend it for lovers of good perfumery. Nothing that compares to current fragrances, synthetic and excessively sweetened.

A masterpiece
One of the best fragrances ever. True to the 90s, however, always up-to-date and magnificent.
I used it in the 90s as a signature fragrance and it stayed in my rotation forever.
There is a great emotional side, great connections and memories associated with this perfume.
