The other Yuppie scent

This perfume appears in the closet of the character Patrick Bateman (portrayed by Christian Bale) in the movie "American Psycho" (2000). This movie alludes to the Yuppie generation of the late 80s, with the story taking place in 1991.
So they were wrong to place this perfume, launched in 1996, in a story that alludes to the late 80s, early 90s.

undemanding unisex

The Caron website lists the notes for this as "rosewood, aquatic fruits, and gaiac wood." But when I look up "aquatic fruits," they consist of species like watercress, water chestnuts, taro, lotus, and lemongrass. I truly don't think any of those are in here. (Well, lotus is possible, I guess.) It's also not especially woody. Of the notes listed here on Parfumo, geranium seems the most prominent to me.

This is an uplifting, fresh scent that's not quite a traditional cologne and not very similar to modern aquatics. A reviewer at another site compared this to thick, fluffy towels, and that sounds about right to me if, before drying off with the fluffy towels, I'd been caught in a cold rainstorm. It also seems like it would go with a white tennis outfit.

Caron lists it as a scent for women, but it smells to me like the platonic ideal of unisex. It's not the most unusual perfume I've smelled, but it is entirely pleasant and probably deserves more attention than it gets.

Suitable for Teenagers

I have nothing to add to Daisy's comment in terms of content.
Except that the scent is absolutely suitable for teenagers.
For Christmas, I gifted this fragrance to my pubescent daughter and then for Easter to her slightly older cousin, who is a completely different type. Both love it very much. Otherwise, teenagers always douse themselves in such sweet-smelling perfumes.... With Eaux de Caron Pure, you can also douse yourself, but it still smells pleasant.

Pure Freshness

From the house of Caron comes a little fragrance that convinced me after the very first try. I thought I could get through the hot summer well with this one.
The mandarin provides the necessary freshness without being overly fruity-sticky. A light hint of nutmeg beautifully complements delicate floral notes. The whole composition rests on a light woody base. So simple? Yes.
I cannot distinguish the floral ingredients mentioned above individually. The entire composition is simply too light and playful. Jasmine and amber remain hidden.
Overall, it is a very harmonious, but rather unremarkable scent. However, I expected that from an "Eau de Caron." Ideal for hot days. For an EdT, the fragrance lasts a very long time.
